Absolutely great hiking show Wore them right out of the box hiking for 7 full days in Northern Arizona including the Grand Canyon. Fit perfectly and provided great traction and good footing when climbing rock trails. Waded through streams and while not waterproof they quickly dried out. Great purchase!

I love this shoe! It is the most comfortable hiking/walking shoe I have ever owned. The rubber sole is great for wet weather and the other materials make it really durable. I even wear it for step aerobics.

Ordered these for my son for Christmas - just what he was looking for: something he could wear outside for work and play, which involves gardening and hiking. So, not so much a gym shoe, but a good comfortable shoe for knocking around in. As always, Zappos is amazing in terms of service and shipping and Columbia is a reliable brand.

Really comfortable, lightweight, mesh breathes pretty well. Fit is accurate, maybe a little narrow but they have enough give so they are not too tight. I like them and would buy them again!

Great side support but not much arch support. More cushioned than similar Merrell shoes, slightly heavier, but I couldn't imagine hiking around in these. Materials and quality seem great, and I loved the traction and grip on the sole. Best traction of any shoe I've ever tried, but not worth the compromise in support and comfort.

Feel good on my feet. true to size. tread is not too rough Keepers!

This is a similar version of the Columbias I purchased about two years ago. The fit and style are nearly identical. Because of the open mesh around the toes, it's a very comfortable spring/summer or warm-climate shoe - I live in Los Angeles, so I can wear these in the winter, even at night when it's in the 40s and 50s. I wouldn't recommend these for cold weather, though. I walk three miles per day, and these shoes provide excellent support for that.
