I purchased this jacket for my husband. He was afraid it would not be warm because it is lightweight and he has always had heavy bulky jackets. He was impressed the first time he wore it at how warm it was. He loves it.

We live in Pennsylvania and wanted a nice winter jacket. After reading the reviews this one seemed perfect. It's true to its description..

I had a jacket similar to this that lasted me almost 20 years and figured it was time for an upgrade. Looking for a WINDPROOF and WATERPROOF jacket that was light, warm and NOT down I came across this one and decided to try it based on the reviews. Believe me I was very impressed with the jacket the first time using it. Its extremely light weight and very warm, almost to warm, and well made. I was out in 9 degree temps for most of the night and with only mid weight thermals under my uniform. I have to say that part of the time I actually had to leave it partial unzipped because I was getting to hot! The only thing I don't care for is the zippers they're pretty stiff hopefully they'll last. Plenty of storage and adjustability nice investment!

coat is so beautiful friends you fall in love you never want to take it off and a only in the wing part there is a different style of planting, that is, I did not understand the reason for this? medium size as if very few arms long

This jacket is great for snowboarding and everyday use. It is lightweight and not bulky but it is super warm. I wish the hood was a bit more substantial but it is not bad. All in all, I am really glad I went with this jacket.

At first thought I it would be too warm for my significant other but I was completely wrong. He loves it!!! He skates, rides motorcycles, and does snow boarding. He is super happy with it!!!

I bought this jacket for my husband and he loves it! The first day he wore it he didn't take it off all day! He says it's very comfortable and warm.

I recently purchased the Alpine Action jacket for skiing. It performed very well as a shell jacket with the additional plus of being warm. Material, zippers, snow cuffs in the arms, waist snow cuff, all performed excellent . I'm very impressed with the Omni Heat material, also the color and fell of the shell is excellent. My only recommendation is I wish it had underarm zippers; otherwise I'm very satisfied with the product.

Great product, runs a little large

I am a huge fan of both Burton and Columbia. But recently I have noticed that Columbia is superseding Burton in all the categories. This jacket was a perfect fit, comfortable, warm but not too hot. I would buy it again!

I bought this jacket as a ski shell for my husband. What a steal! It looked great, worked well in a variety of conditions at the ski resorts in Utah, and was a great price. Highly recommend.

Great ski coat. Not too bulky but keeps you warm.

I've had Columbia coats in the past and have always had great service from them. My friend was talking about new winter jackets for their kids and mentioned the Omniheat lining - how light weight and absolutely warm they are. I have had my go-to winter jacket (non-Columbia) for over six years and wanted to update. I knew I HAD to get the Columbia Omniheat and Omnitec due to their warmth and weatherproof properties. After reviewing a number of Columbia jackets - I choose the Alpine Action. The pictures don't do it justice and fit/finish are flawless! A pocket in the sleeve, chest pockets inside and outside and huge lined hand pockets that zipper up - the right pocket even has a key fob attachment! It also has faux elastic sleeves at the ends of the arms to prevent heat loss. It is a longer jacket and has an internal elastic band and external elastic draw string around the waist to keep the wind and snow out. It also has a removable hood - the hood is totally adjustable and full coverage to The nose - I can still wear my glasses when it is fully engaged. Overall - I love this jacket! Warm, light and weatherproof! My only suggestion would be to run the Omniheat down the sleeves of all Omniheat jackets - as this one doesn't have that. It is extremely, extremely warm and weatherproof! Would make an excellent ski or winter outdoor activity jacket - and is an awesome jacket for everyday wear.

I bought this jacket for my son to go skiing in Colorado last week. He really liked that it wasn't bulky but at the same time kept him super warm. Several pockets in just the right places to put items so they won't get lost. So glad I purchased.

First off, I usually take a large in a ski jacket but I opted for a medium based on reviews. I am 5' 11'' and weigh 165 lbs. and the medium fits perfectly with even some room for a layer underneath. The jacket is great for cool to cold weather use, say from 20 to 35 degrees. It is made well and looks good.

I just got back from a week skiing in Whistler and this jacket performed great. We had mixed weather, with snow, wind, sun and rain in village. I was warm, dry and very comfortable. Skied with just a thermal underneath jacket. Just enough pockets for what you need. Very comfortable!

I am vert happy with this coat. Its comfortable and lightweight its warm and definitely waterproof. it has been tested a number of times since I received it and has passed each time with flying colors. Highly recommend.

Comfortable with just the right amount of warmth for most any outdoor winter sports under most winter weather conditions. I am tall and thin, so unless I happen to be sitting on a bucket ice fishing in Northern Minnesota, I feel especially weighted down when I wear a really bulky jacket. This is just right for very cold days when you're engaged in activities that require exertion (hiking or snowshoeing up mountains). I figure I can always remove layers, but what am I supposed to do with a heavy coat when I become hot!? Nice looking color, and I like the inner and outer chest pockets, the large inner lower netted pocket, and the removable hood. Great product, especially for the price.

I purchased this for my husband who has been using this for skiing. He loves the warmth and the jacket is not too snug that he has room to add an extra layer inside although it is not needed.

I LOVE this Jacket. As a professional ice fishing guide; I spent all winter on the ice. This jacket protects me especially well on those wet and windy days. I spend alot of time hiking and carrying gear, then sitting for extended periods. This jacket is comfortable and has a load of pockets. I would highly recommend this product to everybody.

Bought for my husband and he loves it. It's perfect for New England weather. He likes that it is not bulky as he needs to drive daily and the vehicle he drives takes a bit to warm up. Got the bright blue color and he has gotten several compliments the first time out. Nice detail in the overall design. Would definitely recommend.
