These are one of my favorite winter pants. I wear them and my Eddie Bauer fleece lined pants as I live in cold country. They run a tad small I think (my usual size is 6, but I had to order an 8 whereas in the Eddie Bauer I wear a 4). They are not bulky but very warm. They are flattering. Do not be put off by the aluminum foil looking lining. It is soft and very stretchy and comfortable.
I'd also recommend:

I took these pants to Antarctica and Yellowstone in the Winter and wasn't cold. I live in the sunny SW and am used to hot temperatures and was concerned about being cold. I wore these pants on the deck of the ship in Antarctica and tromped through the snow at Yellowstone. I didn't get cold or wet. I purchased 2 pair in 2 different sizes to allow for with or without long underwear, and they worked perfectly and looked nice. I'm a believer.

I am about 160lbs, 5'4", and curvy around the hips. I got these in size 12 and they fit pretty good, maybe a tiny bit large around my waist which is normal for me. These pants are comfortable and warm with the thermal lining. I can wear them all day without complaint. Great for windy winter days in Wyoming!

This is my second pair because they are super-warm and keep me dry without being bulky or noisy. I know from the last pair that the two layers shrink differently which makes them look less perfect but I forgive this to get the warmth. I love them.

I recently invested in a pair of these pants for my daily work as a landscape professional. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. We have already had a few cold days and I have been able to visit properties and be outside for lengths of time without any discomfort from the cold. Toasty warm legs make me a happy lady! I would highly recommend these to anyone who works or is outside for any significant amount time!

The Saturday Trail pants and shorts are awesome; I purchased several colors of the shorts, pants, and lined pants. Great style, super comfortable, and the small zip pocket is perfect. They run a bit small. I usually wear an 8, but I need a 10 in these, except the lined pants, they are only slightly small, so I can wear an 8, but they are a bit tighter than I like. The styling is great. The lined pants have deeper front pockets than the regular pants which I appreciate. I like the snap closure. The fabric is great in wet weather, the water just rolls off. They wash up easily and are quick drying. They are a perfect all around pant. The lined ones are very warm and cozy, but also lightweight and not bulky. They are my first choice when it is cold outside.

I have become an Omni Heat devotee, after ordering these trail pants in hopes they would help keep me warm and dry in a Stryker inflatable boat on Puget Sound in the winter. Well worth the price, high quality, and I never want to take them off. Ordered a second pair for laundry day! LOVE THESE PANTS. Fit is good; I wear about a size 31 waist and the 12 is roomy enough that I can fit long underwear underneath.

Very soft material. Keeps me warm even though it feels light. Water repellent, good for rainy days.

I love this pants! I wore them on my November trip to Scotland. This pants kept me warm and dry during my hike around Isle of Skye. It was rainy and windy but I stayed warm and dry. Highly recommend!

Good quality pants that make a fantastic alternative to jeans. They are true to size and comfortable. Side pockets hold essentials, but not much more (that's ok!).

Got these for fall hiking in Wyoming. Nice light weight pant. Moves easily. Love the warm pockets. The inner lining was thin enough to give an attractive look without being too bulky. Kept me nice and warm without sweating. I agree with some of the comments questioning the snaps at waist for closure although I had no problems with them. Enjoyed them so much that I wore them on days I was not hiking. Looking forward to using them on cold golf days!! Will definitely buy another pair.

I really love these pants! They are nice and warm without being bulky. I haven't had any issue with the snap and I'm not sure why anyone would be so worried about the fabric inside just because it's not something they are used to. Yes, it's metallic looking, that's why it works without being bulky!! We wear jewelry, right? It's metal! The size 6 short fit me well. I am 5'4", 125. I am going to get another pair!

I purchased these for a European tour in October. The pants aren't bulky so won't take up room in the suitcase and the silver lining should keep my legs warm enough for that time of year. I was really pleased to find a pair of size 12 Short so I don't have to hem them. I would like a navy pair!

I bought a pair of these last fall to wear on a couple of hikes in Washington and Canada. I can't tell you how much I love these pants! They are pretty true to size. They stretch a tiny bit as you wear them, but not too much. They were warm without being bulk and uncomfortable. I just bought another pair for my upcoming trip to Iceland. I wish they had more colors in this pant, I would probably own them all. If you want a warm, comfortable pant that looks good, get these!

Of all the pants in all the wide world, these are my most beloved. I'm one of those always-cold people, and yet I'm always outdoors. This is the first pair of pants I've ever had with which I did not have to don long underwear. I often do, but I don't always have to, depending on the temperature. I have literally never had cold legs while wearing these pants. After a few washes, they're incredibly soft, and while hiking yesterday in a 20mph wind, I was delighted (after a full year) to discover they're wind-proof. The pants are not form-fitting; they fit rather loosely and don't necessarily flatter the figure. However, what they lack in style they more than make up for in warmth. I'm also glad for the elastic, adjustable waistband, as I have put on some winter bulk this year that wasn't present last year. Truly, I adore these pants and would legally adopt them and raise them as my own if it wouldn't brand me a weirdo in social circles.

I think these pants are the best thing I've ever bought for winter. I just came back from winter Iceland and they served perfectly, I never felt cold. I am actually thinking of getting another pair

Love these - perfect for snowshoeing, hiking or running errands on a cold day. So comfortable but they have a tailored fit. I have owned other fleece lined pants in another brand and found myself overheating and feeling the bulk- not with these. I’m usually a size 10 but ordered up one after trying on in a store.

I love these Omni heat pants! They run true to sizeI am a solid size 85'6" & 135#. Athletic buildmuscular thighs & calves. They are wonderfully warm with no layering needed, the omniheat lining is comfortable next to the skin. I have hiked all day in these on ski vacationsthey have great flexibility for stretching & climbing. Warmth factor, I would say down to 20 degrees F. I have 2 pair of size 8's & 2 pair of size 10's in case the weather is colder & I want to add a base layer underneath. The only way Columbia could make these better for me would be to make the rise higher. They fit mid rise on me, & you have to tuck in a long base layer top, or you'll get a chilly back. Also would be helpful to have some kind of adjustment inside the wasteband to cinch them in a bit if needed. Overallgreat pants!!
