Just got this jacket and plan to use it as a casual layer around town and as a mid-layer under a shell when skiing or doing other cold weather activities. Fits great, is warm, and lightweight. Very happy with it. Only downside is there isn't an interior pocket, but that's only a minor inconvenience. Would recommend!

Bottom line nice warm jacket but need to wear TNF hoodie sweater underneath as inner she'll or TNF vest inside. This jacket kept me warm & toasty in Chicago -27 below -40 below wind chill no problem . But pockets begin to rip after about a year of use. I wear Nike gloves but I still keep my hand inside jacket pockets on those extremely cold days. So wear & tear will occur.

It's a good quality fabric and will definitely keep my boyfriend warm in the cooler nights. Plus its classy enough for a nice date.

Super nice coat but am disappointed with the sizing. We even used the true fit questionnaire and the coat still fits small. We are shipping it back and plan to purchase a larger size.

My dad said this jcket on him was kind of awkward but since i got it for him hes wearing it and says its good

Overall a good lightweight jacket for milder winter climates. Perfect for North Carolina. I do wish it had a chest pocket.

I live in Minnesota, so winter is a lot harsher than most places around the states. This is a great jacket but for cold weather it's absolutely necessary to layer underneath it. I returned the jacket and got one in my dad's size because I knew he would love it and only use it to throw on for a quick errand. We have two completely different body types, the regular, roomy fit is what he loves. I love a tailored look on anything I wear, so consider TNF's slim fitting jackets if you're like me (I would advise trying them on for fit and comfortability first). I went with the hooded Thermoball and I absolutely love it, very comfortable and close fitting, and very warm. Looks great too! People compliment it all the time. I love The North Face and have heaps of their products, I truly don't think there is a bad product in their inventory.

it's a tad to big. this is a transitional jacket.. it won't keep you warm if you in an area that's about 40 degrees or below.

Love the way it fits, looks and feels. Definitely would recommend it. So lightweight and stylish.

Great jacket all around; however, I am broader in the shoulder area so the jacket is a little restricting when moving my arms fully.

My wife bought this jacket for me and it's awesome.

I picked up this mid-layer during black Friday sales, and for the price it is pretty good. While its not wind/water proof in any way, it is a light and comfortable mid-layer jacket. I specifically bought it to wear under my goretex apex flex rain jacket on colder wet days, and for the purpose it is perfect.

I liked it.

This run bigger. Had to exchange it for one size smaller. Love the jacket.
