I bought this jacket as a present for my son. This is one of the first jackets I have been able to buy him online, because he usually has to try everything on. This is difficult since he goes to college in a different city. It is very hard to buy for him since he has very long arms and a thin long torso. Other coats I have bought are either too big in the body if they fit his arms or too short in the arms if they fit his torso. My only fix would be the sleeve cuff it is not as nice as I would have hoped.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
I purchased this item for my teenage son as a Christmas gift. He actually loved it. The fit is perfect. I really didn't care for the color all that but considering the other options I think the diesel blue was the way to go.

I just bought this jacket just for having a good size to replace my over-sized jacket and for the winter weather and it has that simple appearance. It has been washed and dried without much problems when soaked in hot water for sterilizing purposes. It doesn't cover my neck and so air can pass down through the jacket collar if I'm hit by a gust which isn't comfortable in the cold; having no attachable hood. As for insulating heat, it really blocks the cold. A minor issue is both the pocket and center zipper can catch a fold of the flexible fabric so I'd have to consciously pull out the zipper and flatten the fabric so I can effortlessly close it, which actually is effortless.

I bought this for my 16 year old son. This is his first TNF product. He walks and waits for the bus everyday and temperatures can be cold in suburban Baltimore.

Like the fit and color scheme, wish it had more (as in any) inside pockets. Other lightweight jackets I've owned have had dedicate pockets for smartphone, which are missing here.

Stylish jacket with nice color and a good fit. Not to be use for temp below 40F. Anything above that, this piece can be worn as a single outter layer.

light jacket, good for mobility but thin, might not work well for very cold weather.

Really like how the jacket looks. Very light weight with wind blocking shell. I am a stocky athletic build, 6'.0 and ordered the XL. The XL fit was too snug around my chest and sleeves were too short. The XL is more suited for a smaller, slender guy with shorter arms.

Good outer or mid layer IF you can zip the neck all the way up. The size large neck size measures 17" on mine which is too tight for this ex wrestler 5'11" 145lbs 17 - 17.5" neck depending on season. I wear this down to 45 - 50 as outer layer and rarely as a mid layer in cold weather because of neck issue.

Poor SupportGreat Support
No elastic in the sleeves, no draw cord at the hem. Seems warm for the weight but very drafty because of the lack of adjustments at openings. I suppose you get what you pay for, the price is low.

Several threads have come loose and are fraying on the front of the jacket after wearing only twice.

I'm a fan of North Face and I'm a lover of thin insulation. This is closer to no insulation. I had to rub my fingers back and froth over the fabric to confirm there was anything even in between the two layers. Still, I thought maybe I was being overly critical so I put it on and walked outside. I walked back inside and slapped on the return label. If you're looking for a windbreaker, this might work. If you're looking for any kind of warmth, don't buy it.

This is my first The North Face jacket and boy what a disappointment. Pathetically thin and not warm. The whole point of a North Face jacket is WARMTH! Its a way over priced fall jacket. DO NOT BUY, there is really no point to own this jacket. My first and last North Face jacket!
