I have a high arch. The top of my foot is pinched by the top of the shoe.

I have worn this particular shoe for many years ... When I re-ordered a replacement pair, both pairs started wearing and "chipping" away around the foot opening within less than 72 hours. I wore each pair approximately 4-6 hours per day, and approximately 5 days per week. One pair was worn 1 day, for about 5 hours, and the "piping" around the foot opening was SO chipped away, it looked like it was years old, and had seen very heavy wear!!! As much as I truly loved my first pair for about 4+years, these 2 pairs were a HUGE disappointment, and I will NEVER buy another pair of the Danskos Professional again. This truly makes me very, very sad!!!!!

The box says “most comfortable shoe you will ever own!” Or something along those lines which is an absolute joke. I am not exaggerating when I say they are the most uncomfortable shoe I have ever had on. I am a size 9.5-10 depending on the shoe but never over a size10. I got a size 40 which is an exact 9’5-10... They were so stiff I could hardly get them on, once I did the arch was so high it felt as if I would slip out of them? Which is weird because they felt like a siZe 8.5... soooo right and rock hard. Super bummed because I was really looking forward to having these as my work shoes :(

I thought I'd found a decent wide-width shoes, especially considering how many times I'd heard that these Danskos work for wide feet. But with super-wide toes/bunions and narrower heels, what felt fine in trying on was a nightmare after a day of work: my toes were crushed and my heels and ankles absolutely shredded from the sides of the shoe. I wore them once and regretted every minute.

I've been wearing Danskos for years. My old pair finally fell apart the other day (after 10+ years) and I was excited at the prospect of buying a new pair. I read the current mixed reviews and ordered my size (38, regular width). When I tried them on, I thought that the right shoe felt a bit tight across the top of my foot. I wore them for a bit and my foot was aching terribly. This wasn't a matter of needing to break in the shoes, as they were unwearable. So, I returned them (sadly, b/c I love the cordovan color) and ordered a wide width in my size, 38. Also, of note, I don't have particularly wide feet either; they're avg. width. Well, the new shoes (in black) just arrived & I just tried them on and they feel SO much better and not tight across the top of my foot (also note, I didn't have this issue with my old pair of Danskos). So, I guess my best advice to you is, order a wide width and see if that's more comfortable than a regular width. I just wish they offered more colors in the wide size!

Have been wearing these for years. The newer ones were to tight across the arch so I went up one size. :( They are just too big.

Unfortunately, this shoe was a lot larger & wider than the size i usually wear. It was large and roomy. I liked the look, have worn Dansko shoes in the past & that's why I purchased them. I returned these shoes & am hesitant to order this brand of shoe on line again because the sizing was so off.

I bought these on the recommendations of my podiatrist as I have hallux rigiditis. She said I would not need to wear orthotics if I got these. I told her I was going to get the Dansko style with the back (not the clog style). These shoes looked great, however, as soon as I put my foot into one of them, the upper part pressed tightly against my instep and into my toe problem. Thankfully, Zappos is great about returns and I was told I could even wear them to see if they would feel better after having them on awhile. I took them to work (didn't wear them on the street, only on the carpet at work). I had to take them off after an hour. I had a deep groove indent on the top of my foot, on my hallux rigidis and my feet hurt. They also felt, strangely enough, although they were the correct size, as if my heel was lifting out of them. I then ordered the clog style. So far, and I have only worn them to work on carpet one day for a few hours, they seem to fit better. I will wear them one more day at work next week before making the decision. They are nice looking shoes, but with a foot issue they are supposed to help with, I am not sure I can make the investment they cost when I am not sure they will help me, and not cause more problems. I am grateful Zappos has the excellent return policy.

Just not comfortable. I was excited to have a pair of Dansko clogs because of the reviews of all-day comfort and style. For me, however, they did not feel comfortable...they felt like a wooden block on my foot.

I have an old pair of narrows that feel narrower after 6 years than these do new.

This is the third pair of Dansko Professionals in Black Patent that I have. I ordered the same size as always 40 N (Narrow) and these are very wide and sloppy, even compared to my old pair which is several years old. I ordered a second pair that fit differently but still feel sloppy. I ordered a black cabrio pair in the same size and they are spot on perfect. I have non-unions and neuromas in my feet and Dansko Professionals are great for me. I wish that they made more colors in narrows!

I've worn these Dansko clogs in the same size for years. This is the first time I'm returning this style because of the poor fit. Oddly, the Wide is actually narrower in the toebox than my regular width and too wide in the back making me almost slip out of the shoe completely when I walk. Whatever changes Dansko has made a once-great shoe just another ill-fitting and misshapen shoe. Very disappointed.

I work in a restaurant 50+ hours a week and all my coworkers raved about these shoes. I wanted to like them and have been trying to break them in. I'm sure this works for a lot of people but maybe find a place to try them on before buying.

I agree with those who are disappointed by what appears to be a decline in Dansko leather quality. Bought the "honey distressed." It doesn't show in the photo, but the tips are in a burnished style (darker than the rest) and because of the leather quality, the effect looks fake, like plastic. These are going back.

Since Dansko is now made elsewhere, nothing is the same size or fit. I have a pair of professionals from a few years ago that are wonderful. I have tried almost every size and width and cannot wear any of the new clogs. The top of the clog is too tight on my foot, even with the wide. A larger size is much too long. Very unfortunate but will have to find another brand.

I have been buying Dansko since 1999. I was excited to own this color combination upon ordering. Unfortunately, the sizing seems too have changed and grown larger, or at least wider. I swim in them now, even with socks, but the size down is too short. I have tried narrows, but not being a true narrow, they are too constricting for my high arches. It is hard to say goodbye to an old friend, but it's the end of the road, Dansko.

What did they do to Danskos?! This pair is clearly larger than the other pair - same model, different color. And the arch is much less supportive. Overall quality feels much less than the past, even on first wear. 15 years of loving the Dansko Professional... and this newest shoe is going back.

I have been wearing these clogs for years and love them: sturdy, comfortable, long lasting. I am a teacher and on my feet all day. Huge bummer to reorder a new pair this time around and learn the hard way that the left shoe is significantly narrower than the right in the pair I was sent. Back they go! Will reorder a new pair, but the hassle defeats the purpose of speedy online ordering.

These are much yellower in tone than the pictures show, I was hoping for something a bit more like worn caramel but they're more like.....honey dijon?

This is the second pair of these Dansko clogs that I have tried. Both were in my normal Dansko size: 38M, and both had the same problem: Way too loose across the instep and way too wide in the heel. I LOVED the look of the Stone color, so after returning the first pair to a different vendor (starts with N), I ordered from Zappos thinking the first try was a fluke. The answer is NO--that's the way these fit. I tried to order a narrow width but my size was out-of-stock. I'm not a newbie to Dansko--I have about 10 pair of clogs from them, all 38M. These are definitely different in how they were constructed. Guess I'll just give up on this incarnation of the Professional.

The sizing has changed! I've been a loyal Dansko customer for over 10 years and have always wore a size 38. If I saw a cute pair, I'd just place an order and they fit, easy-peasy! This year, I've tried 3 different styles (2 different felt pro styles and 1 Professional). In all I've returned 6 pairs trying to find one that worked! They all felt at least a 1/2 size too big. I know my feet haven't shrunk...if anything they've grown a little! In a desperate attempt to find shoes I bought a pair of Sanita...and they fit! Finally! I hope Dansko will correct their sizing, maybe in a few years I'll try again. As for the black tooled style. I wish they had fit, they're cute!

i tried this on in two sizes and one was too small and the other too large. i couldnt find the perfect fit.

I am so disappointed with this latest Dansko Professional I have been wearing these same shoes, ordered from Zappos for 20 years. This last pair was much smaller than usually, the leather was duller, and the shoe felt stiffer. I noticed that this clog was made in China while my last pair was made in Italy. I hope Zappos has not tried to cut cost and diminish their product.

They are very comfortable but the patent wears off the toes after some time and then they look terrible. I would not buy the patent. I am a size 7 with a slightly wider foot so I bought the 7W and they fit well.
