My first pair of Danskos! I actually think they’re not particularly attractive, especially on a large foot size, so I never thought I’d ever wear them. BUT, I recently sustained a stress fracture on my right foot. Dr. recommended I wear a rigid soled shoe when I go for a walk outside. I ordered the black patent professional shoe. I usually wear a 9.5 - 10 shoe depending on the style. After reading through the reviews, I came across someone who had the same size and she said how perfect they were for her and recommended size 41, so I ordered 41. They arrived within 24 hours .. perfect. Wore them from the box for 10 hours and had no pain ... actually with the rigid sole they’re very comfortable. Lots of room in the toe box which my feet love. I have changed my mind about these clogs .... Comfort before vanity! I highly recommend Dansko professional style clogs.

This is my first pair and I wasn't sure wether getting wide was a good or bad idea as I sometimes need wider shoes but not always. They were sold out of slim so I went with wide. I'm a barista and am on my feet hours on top of hours standing. My co worker insisted I guess a pair and I finally gave in as I've been experiencing so much pains at work from feet to back to shoulders so rather than buying new walking or running shoes every six months. I finally decided to just get a pair of Danskos. What an idea. Shoes for the sole purpose of working? Day one was great. I love them and a week in I know I'm gonna need a second pair. I was shocked how much I like the look of it too. Will be looking for another pair soon.

I gave a five rating because they are well-made, they fit well. I am a nurse and my coworkers rave about them. I wear full length arch supports in all my shoes after taking out the original insoles and do well with my feet at my job. Decided to buy Dansko Professional. From day one I had pain. After three weeks I asked around to coworkers and found one who had the same problem - we don't have the right foot or arch to wear them. Knowing I had worn them for over three weeks, Zappo still allowed me to return them. So at least I know I can't wear them, still a supper shoe, and I'm not out a dime. That is a five rating to me. Thank you Zappo. Bought snow boots I really love though.

I was like Goldilocks, trying to replace my black tooled leather Danskos. I ordered my usual Dansko size 38 in the Professional, XP and XP2.0. The Professionals were slightly smaller than my old Danskos (same size), so I also tried going up a size, which was WAY too big. The XP 2.0's were too soft -- they didn't have enough arch support. So, I guess i decided the XP's were just right - they are softer in the footbed than my old, well-loved Dansko shoes, but still have a great arch. They also feel just a tad larger than the Professionals of the same size. I am hoping they don't get sloppy with wear. SO -- if you've had your Dansko clogs a LONG time, like me, you may find the new Pro's are just a smidge smaller. I will add that this could partly be due to my old shoes being, well, OLD. But the sole of the new shoes seem to be just short of .25 inches shorter.
I'd also recommend:

My feet are short and wide. For Dansko Professional I wear size 36 normal width. I started wearing these shoes since the year of 2000. Each pair would last me about 2.5-3.5 years averagely, and I've been wearing them almost everyday. White for summer and black for winter. Just because I love the style so much and they're so comfortable. About 4 years ago I ordered a pair from ebay US because Zappos stopped shipping to Taiwan where I'm living. I found out that instep was much tighter than before. That really disappointed me, but I still tried to wear them only couldn't wear with ankle socks anymore. Thank God we have very thin, super low cut socks here in Taiwan. But I still prefer to wear shoes with ankle socks though. Now this one pair is getting old. So I decided to buy another pair when I visited US this summer. The problem is still the same: INSTEP IS TOO TIGHT even with wide ones. This time I did an experiment on my old pair, and it WORKED. So I “proceeded a surgery” on my new pair -- I cut open the instep part along near the seam inside the shoes, took out the foam, stuck the leather back with double sided adhesive tape. Problem solved. It was not easy and quite dangerous with a sharp blade and not much room. So it's not recommended unless you are really careful and skillful. I really hope the manufacturer would make the clogs like the way used to be. If not, sigh~~~ But my shopping experience with Zappos was always pleasant. Fast delivery, free and effortless return, and fast refund. Great customer service!!

When I bought my last two Dansko Professionals in 2002 and 2008, I'm pretty sure the wide sizing option was not available. I had kept 38's both times, but the shoes always felt tight in the collar and sometimes in the toe box (over time, they did stretch out). Since a bout with plantar fasciitis in 2012, the Dansko Professional clog has been my go-to shoe whenever I know I will be standing and walking for longer periods of time. My most comfortable size is usually a 7W; I also wear 7.5 M. So I ordered a 38, 38W, and 37W (August 2018) in the Pro Black Box. The 38 Regulars were the same in length as before, and the toe box & collar were a bit tight, as before. The 38W felt significantly roomier, and that's why I tried the 37W as well. I'm right in between those two sizes; the 37W is perfect for my right foot, and the 38W is perfect for my left foot. [Facepalm] I kept the 38W because the smaller size probably would hurt my left foot after walking for a while. But for those of you also in-between sizes: the upshot is that these clogs seem to me like the roomiest shoes for my toes I can get on the market *that also don't come off*. I tried. Wearing the 38W's, I shook both feet from the ankle vigorously, and even though my thin, invisible sock slipped off *inside* the right shoe, the shoe itself did not fall off. (!) With my foot problems, these clogs are the closest thing to walking on a cloud...with support.

I have a pair of Pro's that I bought about 5 years ago - they were finally worn out - About a year ago I started working part time in a grocery store kitchen where I am on my feet on concrete with slippery surfaces. I bought 3 pairs of "kitchen" approved or highly rated shoes - My feet were miserable. One day in desperation I wore my Dansko's. Ahhhh, I wore them every day since. I was actually surprised to learn they had the skid proof sole my employer required. Came time for a new pair, I ordered up the exact same style/size as I had. When they arrived I could not even get my foot into them, they were so narrow and tight. I immediately ordered a wide and then chewed my nails until they arrived. If these didn't fit, I was back to square one and was very nervous. The wide fit perfect, no break in time needed, I slipped them on and headed off for a 8 hour shift. I am not going to say my feet don't hurt at the end of 8 hours standing on a concrete floor because they do. However, the big difference is my legs, knees and hips don't hurt and once home with a chance to relax a bit, the feet no longer hurt. Gone are the hours of aching feet. I have Plantar issues as well and these shoes are a lifesaver.

These are not sexy shoes. They will get you noticed, if only because you'll suddenly be two inches taller. They do not travel well; they're heavy, and they'll take up a lot of space in your suitcase. But you can stand and walk in them all day long. For some reason, your back and your legs will love them. This is why you see so many doctors and nurses wearing Danskos. You can also navigate most puddles easily, given that the leather part of the shoe is sitting on top of the thick rubber sole. If style is your biggest concern, these shoes may not make you happy. But if you want to feel great at the end of the day, check them out. Plus, they look pretty good with skinny black jeans, and a tweed wool cape.

These were amazing for my feet and surprisingly cute. I have plantar fasciitis, and at a time when nothing else helped, these shoes made everything feel better very quickly. However, it is a very individual issue, and where I am in it right now means they don’t work for me as well at the moment. As near as I can tell, they have great arch support for me as someone with a high but very flexible arch. My podiatrist told me that some people with high arches but less flexible feet instead find them painful and tiring, but I found them really great. The first issue I ran into is that while the heel height lessens the stress on the plantar tendon, it can lead to tighter calf muscles, which probably helped cause the issue to begin with. This does not have to be a bad thing, just remember to keep doing your stretches even though there is less pain! But my main goal currently is to get rid of the already existing inflammation, so a highly padded and lightweight sneaker is better for me. These clogs help keep my feet in the position that will prevent plantar fasciitis from returning, but while they are lighter and more shock absorbing than the average clog, they are not as good for rehabilitation as some sneakers. I am looking forward to returning to them once my current issue heals. I found these clogs surprisingly attractive with many different types of outfits. They are a little clunky (and my feet are quite large to begin with), but it looks intentional and even stylish instead of like you are wearing clown shoes. I have had foot issues off and on since I was a child, and I am used to having to wear clunky athletic shoes to resolve them, which doesn’t always look great with skinny jeans or dresses. It was nice to find comfortable shoes that are less casual.

I have extremely wide feet - I take a 4E or more in every shoe I've ever worn. And I have high insteps as well! Never tried Dansko before, but was tempted to try them based on the great reviews. But I can just barely get my feet into these (ordered size 38 Wide); not only is there very uncomfortable pressure on my pinky toes, there is extreme pressure on my instep. Regretfully returning them. I believe if I had slightly less wide feet and/or a less high instep, they'd fit great. If you have a 2E or less width, or a D/E and a somewhat high instep, these would likely fit you well.

I know they're not super stylish, but Dansko clogs are my go-to because they are so comfortable. I commute to work on foot and Dansko clogs are the perfect walking shoe for me. The soles do wear down from walking and I have to order a new pair at least once a year (every nine months would probably be better). I ordered the blueberry color most recently and it's a nice change from black or brown. It's a very dark blue - almost black - so the color isn't jarring.

Wonderful shoes! This is my 4th pair of Dansko Professional shoes. The arch support is good with a rise in the arch area. No need to place my custom orthotics in this shoe. The fit is perfect in the toe box and in the overall shoe width (medium) and length. I wear size 9.5 and ordered size 40. This shoe style characteristically does not hug and bind the foot without socks. Sometimes I wear sport socks that cover just the heel and toe showing minimally above the shoe. In the colder winter months I wear Smartwool socks that end above the ankle. No sock, sport sock or regular sock, all works with this shoe. The gorgeous slightly distressed camel brown color is more for Spring and goes great with khaki, green and beige pants and classic purses like Dooney and Bourke and Coach. In addition to the comfort and better posture when wearing these shoes, I love standing an inch or two taller.

I have been wearing Dansko clogs for 15 - 20 years. I am happy they still make this style in brown oiled, as it is now the only Dansko clog I can wear. A few years ago, Dansko changed the cut in their shoes and now they are much smaller. I have a small, wide foot and cannot wear the brand any more except these. I only wish they made this in black oiled. I wear these shoes almost every day for about two years, then the sole splits and I buy another pair.

Super comfortable and felt true to size. These are my third or fourth pair of Danskos and I absolutely love them. I usually wear a size 6 or 6.5, and the size 36 in Danskos fits me perfectly.

I just ordered my usual size 40 and it is at least a 1/2 size bigger than my other Dansko clogs. I have multiple Dansko shoes and have never had trouble with the fit of a size 40. Zappos makes returning as easy as can be, but it's still a trip to the post office. In other news, I love Danskos. I'm sure once I get the right size I'll love these, too. Just be warned it seems the clogs are bigger this year.

Have worn this style of Dansko and this pair again did not disappoint! I am a chef so can often be on my feet for 12-13 hours straight. They provide support. My feet are tired when I get home but they are not sore!

This shoe is really worth the extra money. I recently developed plantar fasciitis in one of my heels and needed to start wearing a better shoe. I have worn these all day, much of it standing and walking and my feet have been incredibly comfortable. Zappos prices are hard to beat and I am very satisfied.

SANITA v. DANSKO: I had tried three pairs of Sanita clogs after hearing they were the "original" clog manufacturers. Unfortunately, two of the three pairs seemed poorly made, with uneven staples, leather sticking out of the sole, etc. They also seemed to run narrow, even the "wide" width, causing me to return the third pair. I tried a pair of Danskos and got it right the first try! Danskos seem to run a little wider than the Sanitas. Plus, the pair that I received was visibly better manufactured than the Sanitas; staples were even, no leather was bunched up, etc. We'll see how they hold up with lots of wear. I have a "desk" job, but since I have a standing desk, I'm on my feet all day. These have good arch support and help me stand up straight. I have a feeling these will be my go-to shoes! Only 4 stars for comfort since the sole is not cushy (might get an inexpensive set of cushy insoles).
