I purchased these along with the black Wide Pro Xp Oiled (same size). The black ones fit perfectly, but these seem much narrower and my heel slips out. I will re-order them, but I will go up a size or order another pair of Dansko.

The color on the toe of the "honey distressed" color is significantly darker and drastic, it is almost a clean line where the color changes... a bit weird. If color were more uniform throughout, I probably would have kept. My usual 39 in Dansko fit fine.

Too narrow in the tow box will exchange for wider model.

These shoes were recommended to me by nurses who are on their feet all day. They were comfortable, but a bit heavy and stiff for my taste. The slipping heel was easy to get used to, though.

I've used these for many years and just replace as needed. They are great for standing on your feet all day and provide much more support than any other work shoe I've used. However, they are very heavy and it's very easy to roll your ankle if you take a misstep

I ordered these to replace the same shoes I'd had for several years. I wear them to work and they are super comfortable for being on my feet all day. I will say I don't love them for any sort of distance walking, certain not uneven surfaces cause i am constantly rolling my ankle on bricks etc but they are perfect for my work as a PT. I replaced the prior pair because the patent leather was all scuffed up but they had held up great for years.

I love Dansko clogs for my hospital job where I am on my feet all day. I was looking for the professional clogs in a light gray or light brown color and ordered these in the distressed stone color. I love the color and lightly distressed look to the leather. However, these are unisex and the sizing suggested for my female feet was incorrect...my feet were swimming. Thank goodness for the easy returns with Zappos---I returned these for a size smaller and they fit a bit differently than my gender specific ones--but do fit. They took a few more days to break in than is typical. Due to the sizing, I gave them 4 stars.

This is my fourth pair of dankso clogs, and I was puzzled to find that my normal size did not fit. I even have another pair of patent professionals that I bought several years ago and the sizing on these is different. I think I will try sending these back for a W, although I have never worn a W in my life.I I love the dansko clogs in general though. I have foot issues and these are some of the only shoes I wear.

The XP's are nice, but do run a little tighter. Took a little longer to break in. But overall a great shoe!

I ordered the wide, though I thought they'd be too wide--but I have super wide feet. Unfortunately, as others have noted, they're narrow across the instep. They feel narrower than they should, and they hurt my feet after not too long. :(

Dansko's aren't for everyone. I read many reviews and pleased I finally tried them. My dealbreakers are wide small feet and plantar fasciitis. I love Alegria but every pair squeaks at some point. Clarks are too flexible, Sanitas are too narrow. Dansko's, after 2 weeks of wearing them at work, are sturdy and comfortable, not too clunky. I do a fair amount of walking at work and these are keepers. Wish they offered more options in wide widths. I had to order up a half size and I wear very thin socks with them.

Purchased a narrow, but it is nowhere near narrow enough. Maybe because they are unisex sizing. Maybe it would be narrow for a man, but it is more like a wonen's medium. If you have a natrow foot try Sanita

Okay, so I'm still breaking these in, so I have expectations that I'm pretty sure will be fulfilled at a later date. In a former life, I was a professional chef. I had a pair of clogs like this that I worked 14-hour shifts in, but they were from a company in Sweden that I can't recall the name of (I want to say Sanita, but I swear there was a "k" in the name). It took years for those clogs to finally give out on me, and they were the most comfortable things ever. Now, I wanted to replace them, and my daughter has this exact pair and loves them (she worked as a cashier at a grocery store when we bought them for her), so I figured I'd give them a chance. The first pair I bought were my size (US 8 - 38's here), but they were so small I couldn't get my foot into them. So I returned them for the next size up, and they fit perfectly. The first day I wore them, I went to a fair and walked around for several hours. I can honestly say my feet hurt by the time it was all over, but it was to be expected, as I put them on right out of the box. Shoes like these, I know you have to break in. And although my feet hurt, they weren't REALLY bad. A few more solid wears like this, and I'm sure they will be as comfortable as the Swedish ones I had so long ago.

Well I've always heard good things about Danskos and I owned a used pair given to me from my mom a couple years ago that I wore casually. This pair I have been wearing 6 days a week for 9-11 hours straight without sitting down once (new serving job) so I'm not sure if it's the intensive work labor or something about this pair (not being broken in?) that my bunions on both feet are so painful I dread standing up on my one day off. I haven't ever had bunion pain before. So I will continue to wear them and see if they get broken in and more comfortable. Also, I almost slipped while wearing these yesterday, I will say they're not as slip proof as the other pair of non slips I bought at Payless for $30. Again, maybe the rubber is just getting broken in, but I'm waking tenderly until they do!

I am a long time wearer of Dansko clogs and found these to be particularly snug. My previous pair (in the same size) had a suede upper, which I suspect gave a better fit for my wide feet. The oiled leather upper takes a substantial amount of time to break in, especially around the midsection of the foot. These do stretch over time but wide-foots beware!

Well these are not the sexiest of shoe but they are comfortable. I got the wide and with socks it felt good. I am very happy with the shoe for what it is for... but let's face it... they're ugly!

I discovered Dansko Professional clogs around 2003, before the Dansko-Sanita breakup. Over the period of a couple years I bought 4 pairs in different colors. The black oiled quickly became my best friend, breaking in and molding to my foot like no other shoe had ever done. I wore Danskos all the time. I even got teased a little, but I didn't care because my feet were so happy. I wore the black more than the others and in 2010 had almost completely worn down the heel cap. A local shoe repair shop assured me they could re-tread my beloved shoes. What they didn't tell me was in order to do that they would cut down the heel to remove the curve at the back and then the fore foot to keep the shoes balanced. Well, the fit inside the shoes was still there and I kept wearing them until recently when I noticed the tread was nearly gone again. Time for a new pair or two or three and I was looking forward to getting at least one in one of the cute printed patent finishes. Boy, was I in for a shock. I ordered the same size I had purchased way back when, a 36 regular even though in most shoes I wear a solid 6 1/2. When I received them the length was fine and the wonderful arch support was where I needed it. However, the shoes were way too wide. My foot flopped up and down as well as side to side feeling very unstable. Now, I in no way have narrow feet. They're just average and I've returned/rejected my fair share of shoes for being too narrow. For these new Danskos to maybe come close to fitting my feet I would always have to wear one or more pairs of thick hiking socks. I returned the pretty patent leather and the black oiled and ordered a pair of black oiled in the narrow width. These fit much better, but are still wider than the original regulars I have. I even measured them: the new narrow width shoes are 1/4 inch wider than my old, stretched and broken in regulars from 2003-2005. I decided to keep them. I may end up only being able to wear them with thicker socks once they stretch a bit. Dansko has really changed their fit. Now my choices are very limited since only a few come in the narrow width (which really isn't that narrow to begin with). I'm afraid this will be my last pair of Danskos... The love affair is over.

Liked the color, fit well. Only thing is after wearing five minutes color chipped off?! I wear size 5, did try Sanita; however, one shoe was always different size than other so went back to dank. 4 stars for the chip.

I've had another pair of Dansko professionals before. I really like this one, but it's taking time to break in the leather, but I'm hopeful they'll soon be a favorite pair of shoes.

I am happy with these shoes, but when you clean off scuff marks, the color rubs off too. They scuff easily.

I am a male who wears these at work mostly although they are nice casual as well with jeans. They wear well and are pretty durable even in slushy winters. I take a 7½D and order a 39 regular. I have a normal to fairly high arch and the regulars fit tight across the instep but usually relax over time and they become super comfortable. The tighter instep minimizes the heel slip so they don't feel sloppy. The instep tightness does seem to vary a bit within the size so you might have to try a couple pairs rather than order a larger size which will also give you a longer length. Good luck as these are nice.

I have high arches and wide feet. Wore Danskos for years, then last several have tried other brands. Needed a winter version of slip-on, wear everywhere shoes and ended up back with Dansko. This one needs a lot of breaking in (like walking on a block to begin with) but is a great shoe. Fits with thin or medium weight socks. True to size -- I am a 9-9.5 and take a 40.
