This shoe is extremely comfortable. I usually take an 8.5 W but that shoe was just a little too short, but the 9 fits very well.

The first pair I bought was a wide width because I generally wear an 8 Wide but these particular shoes ran a little wider than usual and I didn't feel like they would hold up because of the way the material was buckling on top of the foot. The mesh material on top of the shoe was buckling before I even went out walking, so I wore them in the house on carpet for a few hours and realized they would not last long. So I returned them for a standard width and thought I'd see if they fit better. They did, in fact they are perfect. so I guess as a walking shoe they have a flatter soul to the ground so maybe that's why they allow them to be wider. I now have an 8 standard width and I love how they fit and feel. I returned the 8 wide, no problems with the return or the associates I dealt with.

I stand on my feet all day, in one spot,these shoes are very comfortable!!

Received this shoe one day before taking our two year old twins on vacation. Slipped in my orthopedic insole and away we went. No foot pain on the fast paced trip. Would purchase again.

Higher at the toe, doesn't pinch, got immediately like I'd been wearing them already. Very supportive. Easier to be on my feet longer, no shifting, hold my foot solidly.

Great support and fit with my orthotics. Lightweight and stylish I get compliments on the looks. Don't stop carrying this shoe!

I never write reviews, but I just bought my second pair of these wide New Balance 877 shoes because they fit so well and don't slip up on the heel. They are very light weight. These shoes are wide in the front part of the foot. Hard to find shoes for wide feet.

I purchased this shoe elsewhere a few years back and it actually works well for me I have a wide forefoot, the beginnings of a bunion, big toes that tip upward and PF. I need well rounded deep toe boxes and I need decent cushioning and width. My problem now is that over the last few years my feet have spread out a little and I need a half size larger. I will be ordering these in a 9 2E. I just wish they came in solid black or some funky splashy colors. Give us old ladies a break and give us more color!

I have had two pairs of these shoes over the last three years. I walk four-and-a-half miles a day in an hour. I guess you would call me a power walker. These shoes absorb shock and never rub against my heels or pinky toes. I do have small calluses on my second toe, because my second toe is longer than my first. Strange genetics. The shoes hold up well even if they get wet, which happens often, because it rains almost daily in my area. The laces stay tied. The arch support is excellent. The heel is snug, but never rubs or causes blisters or cuts. These are the best shoes I've ever walked in. I wear these until the soles start to wear off. That takes a year or year-and-a-half. They're well worth the money, and as my grandma used to say, "You get what you pay for."

I love walking shoes that have color, but are not too bright. I dithered about what size I would order because my feet are very picky, and walking is my main exercise. I chose 8 because I normally wear a 7.5 but often find myself in an 8 the past couple of years. My toes are wide, my heels are narrow, which is a problem. When I first put these on, I did not think I would like them, because my heels slipped more than would be comfortable. However, my TOES were in HEAVEN. So I did something I never have done before. I laced them all the way up....so that I could tighten around the heel area a bit...and it worked. I have probably 20 miles on these shoes so far and a long summer ahead. These are my "pavement" walking shoes. I have others for the trail. I love these shoes!
