Not as much support as I expected. No tab on the back to assist pulling on shoes. Laces too long.

OK shoe but sized too small. All my other shoes are 9.5 and fit well. This one pushed against the ends of my toes.

They are wayyyy tooo wide. Widest shoes I've ever came across in my life.

Not like I expected from a new balance product - I'm 6' 230. Not at all like my 990's.

Didn't like the square looking toes on the sneaker

Was comfortable until about 3rd day, then a bump formed under heel and another under ball of foot in the sole of right shoe. Left shoe was ok. The highest string hole can't be used because it goes too high and misses the tongue then bites into flesh. Will stop purchasing New Balance all together because I can't find what I want in local outlets.

Returned for refund, not what I expected. Not as comfortable as others walking shoes purchased at the same time.

Look & fit great but hurt feet after a little bit.

Sorry to return these they look and feel good, true to size (12 4E). Other reviewers mentioned that the tongue was too short, and they were correct. It slips too low and doesn't allow you to lace up to the highest position. I ended up finding a pair of 990s a half size smaller at a local retailer. They were nearly double the price, but it's hard to be a choosy beggar when distribution is poor for everything right now. The return process is fast, but keep in mind that you'll be paying for return postage through UPS. Try to find these in a store first, or at least be certain you're OK with a low tongue and loose ankle fit.

Not much sole cushioning on these walkers. I walk 15000+ steps a day at work , these made my feet hurt.

Poor support for a shoe that costs this much. Fit is off: not a 9 1/2 nor a 10, but appears to be a 9 3/4. Had to return.

This shoe offers far less support and cushioning than a 608 or similar. I found it to be overpriced and underperforming. Stick to a decent training sneaker for the support you need while walking.

Not too comfortable, very little cushion. Not the typical quality of New Balance. I walk a ton in the winter and summer Up North in Michigan. Now I use them for weight lifting. Fit was ok.

I purchased these shoes based on the ratings which were very positive. I must have been the exception as these gave me very bad blisters on the back of my heels. The sole seems hard and unforgiving. I may have to revert back to a walking/running style shoe for my next purchase. I like New Balance products as a whole, just not this shoe.

The tongues on both shoes were apparently stitched to the shoes incorrectly ( the left shoe more than the right) as a result the tongues did not protrude far enough past the laces and when laced the laces were past the tongues.

Not the same quality as New Balance items I havew purchased thru LL Bean in the past. Had to return for 1/2 size larger; not true size fit.
