Shoe was a walking shoe and I’m using as a work shoe around the house

I walk two to three miles for exercise on most days, usually on sidewalks and streets. I bought these to replace a pair of Fresh Foam 1365s that I liked very much and had been wearing for about 7 months, including about two months indoors on a track. I had to watch the website and wait for quite a while because the 877 in my size was out of stock. I liked the combination of mesh and suede. The shoe seems to be well made. I bought the same size as my former 1365s, but the 877 seems just a bit shorter in length and definitely heavier. I will experiment with different insoles, because the ones that came with the 877 pair do not seem to support my foot as needed in the arch area. The whole shoe is not as comfortable as the 1365s were right out of the box, but I'm willing to give them a little time as I adjust. If they don't loosen up a bit, I'm sure I won't use them as long as I did the 1365 pair.

I just purchased the 877 for walking purposes...I walk...on average 20 miles a week. When I received my 877s...tried them on and noticed they fit true to size, plenty of toe room and a well made shoe. Then I walked around the house in my new shoes and noticed the shoe liner did not provide a comfortable feeling, basically they are to thin and this takes away from the intended comfort. I took a pair of Dr. Scholl's heavy duty liners, from an old pair of walking shoes...took out the original liners...inserted DSs liners and what a difference in feel and comfort. Very surprised NB uses such a poor quality of shoe insert. s

Got these as a gift and could not be Happier. My 2nd pair of NB877 and these are as great as the first pair. Not to stiff not to cushy...just right! Feel grounded and supported. Love the style goes great with anything. So grateful for these...

There is nothing wrong with these shoes, but they are not for me. I think now that I need shoes with tops made from a soft leather, not from man-made materials. These man-maid materials are not soft, and my bone of the big toe - does not like that. However, that is the fault of my bone in question, not of the shoes in question. Also, I would like to have shoes with more cushioning than these; probably more expensive New Balance shoes can provide more cushioning (?).

This will be my 3rd replacement of the 877. I walk 10 miles a day and the 877 holds up fairly well. After 3 months, the heel will wear down to the point that the shoe needs to be replaced. I would be nice if NB would design a longer-lasting sole.

Its made for city sidewalk. Get it a half size larger then normal size because of the padding.

Fit is true to size, which I can't say is always case these days with New Balance shoes these days. Hit or miss ordering online with them now. Having said that, these fit well, are light in weight, very comfortable, and look good too.

Decide to upgrade to the 877 from the Relaxa. I have a 100 miles on the 877s now and am pleased with them. Comfortable, stable and absorb heal strike very well. My size is 9.5 4E and these shoes are true to size. The 877 is a substantial shoe. Yet not heavy. I walk predominantly on level sidewalk/paved pathways and the 877s preform well. Have worn them on several hot humid Ohio summer days and found they breath and vent well. Sole wear is minimal to date, again with a little over 100 miles. Long term durability to be determined. I average 145 to 150 miles a month. I am hoping and expect to get 4 to 5 months of primary use out of the 877s. Then purchase a new pair and retire my current pair to lawn and gardening duty.

4E just barely fit my 3E (measured) feet. Don't buy it if you're a true 4E. Toe box also is just big enough with a sheer sock.

Shoe is comfortable and good for walking. Nice wide toe box. Only problem, I had to order a full size larger so my toes wouldn't bump against the end of the shoe. I originally ordered a half size larger.

Excellent fit. The finish and style are not great, probably due to the fact that I bought a 8 W. It might look better on a regular width higher sized shoe.

I'm in my late 70th and I walk 5 miles a day besides stretching 45 minutes every other day and weight training every other day. The product is very good for about 10,000 steps a day but not good for the 14,000 to 15,000 steps I normally do. I think your running shoe would be a better fit for my use.

I love these shoes and have had several pairs in the past. Unfortunately new balance no longer makes them in my exact size so I can't buy them anymore. 13 -4E please come back to this shoe!!!

Good walking shoe, made in the USA which shows the better quality. Would like more color choices and perhaps a leather shoe rather than the suede of this shoe.

I am bummed because I am having to send back for second time. I am a girl with big feet. Normally I wear a 9 1/2 mens wide but these run wide so ordered 9 1/2. Too small so had to send back and ordered a 10 and still my big toes hitting the end. Reg Width is fine did not order a wide. I really like the looks of these, they are not clown looking or boxed look. Makes my feet look small actually. Suggest ordering a full size up for the right fit.

Those shoes are for my husband but I'm happy to find 4E sized shoes for him after all. Those shoes are good enough that we are buying the second pair. Thank you Zappos for making shoe buying easy!
