Perfect shoe for me - the Asics Gel Nimbus 14-15 and 16 are the best shoes I have ever owned. Eliminate all of my plantar fasciitis issues like no other shoe can.

Outstanding neutral, cushioning shoe! For about 30 years I have been running almost exclusively in New Balance--most recently in the great 882. Sadly, New Balance discontinued that line of shoes and there appears to be no replacement. All their neutral, cushioning shoes are now built on a completely different last that is narrower in the forefoot and cramped in the toe box. They also have thinner cushioning, which you can feel if part of your route takes you off pavement. This ASICS shoe is a great replacement for the NB 882. In some ways it is even better. It has better cushioning and is even lighter.

These shoes are extremely comfortable. The forefoot gel cushion system is amazing. I am currently deployed to Southeast Asia and I do a lot of running on pavement and extreme heat, however I have found these shoes very pleasant during long runs. Not only that but it only took five days for my shoes to get to this side of the world. I am very pleased with the overall experience!

Great shoe! Great colors! Got husband hooked on Asics 3 years ago, and bought this pair for his birthday. He loves them.

Without a doubt, the best running shoe I've had. Abundant cushioning and nice midsole support make this shoe an easy choice for any level runner. It is a neutral shoe and will make even the longest run feel shorter while eliminating foot fatigue. I am considering buying another pair just to keep in the closet for later. Buy with confidence.

First, I usually wear a 13 extra wide in any athletic shoe (especially running) and these fit spot on. Perfect. At a local running store, I had been miss-sized (diagnosed) with a shoe to correct overpronation (the Brooks Beast) and my left side and hip began to hurt. This shoe was overcorrecting a problem I don't have. Do not assume that because you are a large guy that you naturally have flat feet and overpronate. Take the "walking in a puddle of water test" and see what your arch really is and check a shoe you wear often and see where you are wearing the heel. I don't have flat feet OR overpronate so a very cushioned neutral+ shoe like the Nimbus is perfect. I will say the Nimbus-16 is incredibly awesome, even for large runner like me. Also, a lot of runners of all sizes wear the Nimbus because it is a neutral+ shoe with loads of cushioning. Perfect fit and perfect cushioning for me. Best running shoe I've ever purchased. I AM worried about the life of the sole. It seems to be wearing quickly but I just chalk it up to me being a large runner. I have two pair which I rotate, which should help.

I usually buy the GT-2000 series, and decided to see if this design would appeal to me more, which it did not. I do not use the shoes for running, I predominantly use them as walking shoes for at work because they provide great support, are long lasting, and are multi-purpose to me. I can wear them on concrete for 9 hours, and my feet are still good enough for light jogging, or light activities after work. All in all good shoe, but I would prefer to spend the couple extra bucks to get the more precise fit and control of the GT-2000 series.

Great looking shoe but the area above big toe is wearing out fast and I'm sure will have a hole within the first two months of wearing. They tried to fix the issue by extending a reflective surface that is stronger than the fabric that used to be over the same area but it's not long enough so the hole will appear just at the edge. I really hoped these shoes would last but I guess I'll be looking for more shoes soon. Great cushion and very comfortable but just not durable.

These shoes were recommended by a couple of fellow runners, local shops did not have but the Zaps did and in the correct size at a good price. So far so good on the tootsies. Would I buy again from Zappos...probably.

Great neutral running shoe with good cushioning available in Wide sizes. Not the sweetest style and not a ton of available colors but not ugly...good functional shoe for running on pavement. Fit is fantastic. I usually wear 10.5 size Adidas and 11 Nike sneakers because of my wide feet. 10.5 EE fits perfectly right. A bit pricey but you're paying for the wide size and cushioning quality. Overnight shipping with Zappos was fantastic as always.

These are good shoes except for one issue. The liner wore out in the back of the heel after two months of daily 6 mile hilly walks on asphalt and concrete. This was my second pair that lasted only two months with the same issue. Please ask the manufacturer to use a higher quality liner that will last as long as the rest of the shoe. The upside is that shopping with Zappos is fantastic. They have sent me replacements for both pairs at no charge. Thank you!

I have only worn these shoes about twice in my house for 5 minutes. Suppose to be good for the under-pronator which I am a extreme under-pronator. Not sure if I am going to keep them or not. They do not seem to have the cushion to justify $150.00 but I am going to try them on again when I have time and I wear out my Brooks.

I finally gave in and bought the white/blue version. I really do not like mostly white shoes but given the other fluorescent choices... yuck (no black/ orange at the time) I have worn the Nimbus 16s for a couple months now for short distance runs 2½ miles or less, four days a week and just general wear for comfort. The fit is slightly better than the Nimbus 15 for my narrow feet, but I still wish Asics offered a B width in the Nimbus. I know that will never happen so I am stuck with lacing them tightly so the shoes look odd. I have no choice. I have to say other than the very slightly improved fit I preferred the 15s over these 16s. There is now less cushioning in the forefoot and it feels like there is more heel to toe drop which feels odd to me even after much use. The result of trying to shave weight and cost I guess. Also the cushioning seems to have compressed (decreased) faster than the 15s did, which means sooner replacement. Luckily I just found a new pair of discontinued Nimbus 13s from three years ago which I liked and fit my narrow feet better than any other Nimbus that I have worn. I have had most versions. Those shoes received many negative reviews for their narrow fit, so I guess I can give up on any future Nimbus shoes fitting me properly. I wish that Asics would offer a B width in neutral shoes for a change. Anyway, I hope they bring back cushioning in the next model. Even with the various negative aspects I usually find with ea. version of the Nimbus I keep coming back to it. Everything else just does not work as well for me.

After having the same comfort level in my Nimbus 13s for 4 years I ordered the 16s. The cushioning level is what I expected, but these run narrow. Part of my reason for buying Asics is they come in 4EE so the narrow fit is extremely disappointing.

I have the same issue as many other folks who like the Asics Gel Nimbus. The colors are really immature and generally garish...like butterflies puked on them. Distracts people who walk by.

Nice shoe, very comfortable, but the quality of the heal liner is poor. It only lasted 1 month before it wore through and started causing blisters. I previously had the Nimbus 15, which lasted a bit longer and seemed to have better cushion than the 16.
