I really liked the Nimbus 15's I've had for a year now. But the cushioning has finally compressed and I need to replace for the short distance running I do. I try a ton of shoes due to my finicky sensitive and narrow feet. I tried the 16's at a local store and they seem to be another winner, but I just can't bring myself to buy these hideous fluorescent color schemes. I also don't like white as a dominant color in a shoe. Come on Asics! Some of us don't want to draw that much attention to our feet! I started to buy the titanium/black /red version but I couldn't get past the screaming lime green fluorescent sole. If it had a black sole, I'd purchase in a heartbeat. My 15's are they grey/ orange version and I put up with the orange sole for a year. I'm now done with dominant fluorescent colors. The Nimbus is by far the best running shoe I've ever tried, but until Asics starts offering them in non-flamboyant colors again they won't get my money! These are terrific shoes! They are lightweight, easy on the feet, and not too bad looking either (I do not like garish colors - it makes them hard to wear in day-to-day use) I only reserve that last star for two reasons: 1) My feet were in pain for a few weeks after getting them. This is mostly my feet readjusting to the proper size after wearing size 15 for two years (I am a natural 16½) I have an upcoming marathon - after training and running, I will know for certain and possibly circle back. These are extremely highly recommended, especially for us big-footed people who have a hard enough time finding comfortable shoes that actually fit these monsters.

I have been an Asics fan since 2009 when I started running, I'm 6'4" 300 pounds and these are the only shoes that can handle the abuse I put them through. They provide me the best comfort and they hold up to heavy lifting as well. I 110% recomend these shoes to anybody wanting a running shoe. They are light without sacrificing cushin. Buy a pair and you will not regret you did.

This is the first time purchasing these shoes and the comfort is amazing. I use them to climb stairs for an hour at a time and my feet always feel great. I read another review about the width and I took that person's suggestion and purchased the slightly wider size. Fits perfectly.

I bought these shoes for my husband. He loves the nimbus...never had a blister in these shoes! These are a great shoe for distance road running. My husband is training for a marathon in these shoes.

Loved my Gel Nimbus 11's so I was glad to see that the Gel Nimbus 16's are practically unchanged. Now I love my Gel Nimbus 16's!

These shoes feel great. There is gel throughout the sole. I tried a pair in a local store. I was looking for shoes with enough cushioning since I am on my feet for the majority of the day. The local dealer did not have my preferred color and were also more expensive than Zappos. I am glad that I came across this site while researching the shoe. The shoes arrived in three days and I live in Alaska. I did not pay for special shipping. These are highly recommended.

I have been running in the Gel-Nimbus series of shoes for years. So years are better than other design years. I want padding to save wear and tear on my legs. I bought two pair. I think the padding in the heel may the best Asics has ever had in this model. I have never requested a wide shoe, but this year's model seems a little narrower than in the past. I would have retained the same size but would have chosen a wider model if it was available. I have only used them a few times, but I love the cushion in this year's model.

Good looking, lightweight, with plenty of cushion and shock absorption. I didn't realize my old running shoes were shot until I wore these!

Nice neutral ride. Good cushioning for the heavy runner (200 lbs) like myself. Wide toe box that will reduce chafing on the toes.

I ordered these shoes from Zappos because most retail stores do not carry the width in shoes that I need and when they do, the selection is limited. I was able to get the size and style at a good price. Variety and convenience was my motivation. Thanks Zappos!

I love these shoes. I have wide feet and they fit no problem. I also have feet issues and these are the only shoes I can run in comfortably. I wear them running outside spring through fall and on a treadmill in the winter. Since getting my first pair of Nimbus over 2 years ago, I cannot run in anything else - I've tried but just end up returning them. Best pros of this show for me: great amount of cushion coupled with amount of support, and lots of color options. I am a woman but wear the men's because I prefer the colors offered. If you are debating between the Cumulus and Nimbus, I recommend the Nimbus because of more cushion! Just saw the new Nimbus 17 colors and I am jealous!

I replaced my old gel nimbus 13 with this shoe and its very similar as asics hasn't really upgraded the styling or build very much over the years. Probably because if something isn't broken there is no need to fix it. The other reviews are accurate when it comes to this shoe. Awesome support all the way through my stride. Best shoe i've come across for someone of my weight (220lb). Use for long distance runs and sprints as well.

The Asics Gel-Nimbus are the best. I had an older pair I retired, and these are even an improvement over those. Fit is just right, even with my narrow flat feet. Also, Zappos service and free delivery rocks!

I don't know how many iterations of the Asics GEL-Nimbus I've bought over the years, but I know I look for a new pair every 4-5 months. They are a little heavier than some of the other shoes available, but that is due to the extra cushioning material, which makes it well worth the extra weight. It's a great shoe!

Purchased for flat feet working weekends on cold concrete believe it or not and these have offered pain free relief, amazing. Will use for workouts and running too.

Great shoes. I'm usually a 10.5 3E, but these 4Es worked great. Lots of support and they breath like Egyptian cotton. ;-)

This is my second pair of Asics GEL Nimbus 16 (first pair was Asics GEL-Nimbus 14) which I put 500+ miles on in training for my first marathon. I wear a size 15 men's shoe and weigh 200 lbs. and the shoe comfort and wear is exceptional.

Overall, great shoes right out of the box. The shoes seems to be heavier than most running shoes I researched, but I believe it will help in durability in the long run (no pun intended).

Purchased this shoe because it was recommended for plantar fasciitis sufferers. It has met expectations and then some. The shoe's structure and deep cushioning allow me to regularly hike distances of five to seven miles pain-free.

I bought these as a gift for my boyfriend. It was an easy buy since he has already have his feet measured and this particular brand and style was recommended to fit his foots needs. The shoe is great for indoor and outdoor running! He was not a big fan of the white colored ones but he really liked these and the blue/greenish one.

Zappos does what they say and they do it quickly. I had to send a pair of shoes back because they were not quite my size. I ordered another pair, and within two days my shoes were at my front door! I received a full refund on the returned pair, and they paid the return postage! This is unbelievable and customer service at its finest. Zappos has their act together. I have found my shoe company; will not shop anywhere else.

Great shoe. Love running on those shoes. I run on Nimbus since the 7 Series. Just skipped the 15th Series since I tried the Kayano 19. Came back to Nimbus and definitely is the best running shoe!

I love these shoes. They have excellent support, cushion, and width in the toe box (I wear 4E). I previously ordered the Brooks Addiction 11, which are well-made, supportive shoes, but they are too pointy for a wide forefoot like mine. After I wore them a few times, I gave them to the Salvation Army because the toe box was constricting my toes and digging into the side of my foot. I will never make that mistake again and will stick with Asics as long as they make a true 4E. My only regret is the color choices. I was hoping for a model with darker, muted colors, but it was not to be. I hope they make a dark pair in the Nimbus 17 because I am definitely getting a pair.

I recently lost 50 lbs. so I decided to treat myself to a good pair of shoes. These are great! I am on my feet all day and these shoes give me the comfort and support I need. I like men's shoes because they seem to have more room in the toe box, plus I have big feet (12 1/2 women's).
