Perfect for summer pregnancy

Had Milanos 20 years ago. As soon as I put these new ones on I wondered why I switched to flip flops. I immediately remembered the comfort.

I've bought these exact same sandals many times since the 1990's. I love them. They never disappoint.

My official size in Birkenstocks is Women’s EU 39. I ordered this size for these Milanos and it fits perfectly.

I wear a 39 in Birkenstock (8.5 in almost every shoe). I wanted one with a back-strap and decided to try these. They fit perfectly. I own mostly the Arizona style so these Milano are exactly what I wanted.

Bought these for my husband. He was skeptical, but I own probably 8 pairs of Birkenstocks and love them. He tried them on and first thing out of his mouth was, "Oh. These really are comfortable!" He hasn't worn them a ton yet (because of the weather and has to have closed-toed shoes at work), but I'm sure as he wears them more he will only grow to love them more. I also think they look great!

The shoes are really good. My wife likes them a lot. These will be my street shoes. I have a pair of Birkenstocks for wearing only in the house, my wife too.

This pair of “Berkies” fit perfectly, ands they are replacing a pair I purchased while stationed with the US Army in Bavaria in the early 1970s. The old pair was beginning to break down, so it was time to replace them. I opted for the same style, Milano, but in a slightly lighter shade of brown. This new pair is of the same quality as the original pair, and I suspect they will last longer than I last. A great sandal that loves your feet, and they are very reasonably priced for the quality.

They stay on while I drive! My slip on birkenstocks fall off when I drive my big van on long trips, it was getting annoying/dangerous. The back strap took care of that problem, plus they’re comfy for all day standing, or all day driving, or walking. Once I put these on I don’t think of them again until I take them off. That’s what I want in a sandal! Also, a leather top sole means my feet won’t ever stink. I love my chacos but my feet stink after a day on plastic/rubber. Never in leather birkenstocks. They breathe.

Haven't had a pair of these in about 20 years, but I loved them when I did. Got the last pair of "vintage roast" leather, and I'm really glad I did. The color is rich and warm, and the leather is that nice middle-ground between "supple enough to not cut your ankles," and "rigid enough that they'll surely last a decade or more." This time around, I'm adult enough to actually unbuckle the top straps when I take them off, so the back strap shouldn't sag too badly over time.

Probably my 4th pair of this style. Just love them and Zappos gets them to me fast!!

My second pair of Birkenstocks and they fit perfectly. First pair lasted 20 years and the quality of the new ones suggest they should last just as long.

The first thing that I noticed was the arch support and how the sandals are formed to the bottom of my feet. That's what Birkenstock is known for and it didn't disappoint. That's why I bought them because my podiatrist said it would help my feet. They are comfortable and look really nice. My only criticism might be the straps. Each of the straps is just long enough to buckle. Maybe my feet are fatter than I realize. And maybe the straps will stretch a bit as I wear them. It can be a bit of a pain to put them on right now because they have the strap behind the heel, so I have to undo it each time I take them off or put them on. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase. I look forward to wearing them and hopefully helping my feet.

Love the Peppermint Patty/ hippie aesthetic. And as I get older, my aim is to have proper support for my feet! They take me everywhere so they deserve to be cherished! Not a first wearer of Birkenstock’s- just wanted another option from my pair of Gizeh, which I also love. I noticed a commenter remarked on loosening the straps, which I did. Walking around on first try, they are definitely comfy right out of the box. I agree that the back heel strap is shorter than I would like, but I am still able to fit it the way I want. Size 10 here women’s and doing well in a size 40. Toes do not touch the top, but if you like more space there you could go the next size up. For me, that would feel too big.

Nice sandal just ordered a size too big.iu Width was fine however. Normally wear a 13 but the 46 had too much space in front of toes. The Milano felt more secure on my foot and didn’t slap my heel while walking as did the two strap Arizona.

I count on quality and the right fit for my bad feet. Birkenstock never disappoints. As an aside, some of the unisex sizing are more in keeping with a man's sizing / fit. As Zappo has a great return & exchange policy, its never is issue to get what you want and what you pay for!

Same old Birkenstocks. Love them. Glad they keep the traditional styles still.

I needed more than just another sandal.I needed real support and comfort.Dealing with chrinic pain from an ankle injury left me with few choices.I tried on a Birkenstock sandal in store and knew I found what I was looking for only they didn't carry this style with ankle strap.Honestly I listened to other reviews that suggest wearing for 3-5 hours day to get use to shoe before wearing all day.The arch support actually helps relieve my pain.I have even received compliments, I certainly like them.The leather is sort of stiff but its not uncomfortable.I know that I still have issues with my ankle but knowing my limitations and having a shoe that offers this kind of support is great!

I have searched high and low for a sandal with wider toe base and narrower heel, plus superior arch support. My knees were beginning to be affected by poorly fitting shoes, especially sandals. I had tried the Arizona Birk on, but felt it didn't stay on well enough. Finally I tried the Mirano softbed with a heel strap and I cannot believe the difference it has already made in my walking, my posture and my knees. I did as recommended and began slowly wearing them an hour or two a day, then upped the time to allow for break in. I did get a blister on my small toe when I decided to wear them all day only 3 days after purchase, but no other shoe felt right after wearing the Milano. So a bandaid fixed that issue. Everyone has unique foot challenges, but Birks are now the shoes for me. I don't have a Birks store with a wide selection close by for fitting. So thankfully Zappos gives me that great customer support!

These sandals are classic birks - iconic style, comfortable, great arch support. A little more cushiony than most due to the extra layer in the footbed. Tends to run a little large - I had to go down one size. Arch support in Birks can surprise you - higher and more definitive than most shoes.

I have been on the fence about Birkenstocks just because I tried them at a local Nordstroms and felt they didn't provide enough support during walking. I decided on the Milano style as I needed a good, supportive pair for my trip to Europe in one month. I usually wear a 7.5-8 in sandals/flats and decided to try the 38. After wearing around the house I felt like "I could make them work;" however, my toes kept feeling like they hit the front edge during walks. I decided to contact Zappos and see if I could try on a 39. They sent me the 39 and it felt better right away. The leather might feel stiff at first but I guarantee you they will break in within a week. So worth the money for how they feel. Unfortunately the first pair of 39s Zappos sent had some green glue like substance around the cork edge. I contacted customer service and they immediately filed a return and sent me a replacement which arrived 2 days later on my doorstep. Not only are my feet happy, but I am now sold as a Zappos customer!

I have narrow heels and a wide forefoot, as well as a pesky problem that starts with "b" and rhymes with "onion" (probably stemming from years of wearing heels. These shoes are literally the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. They do require breaking in, so check out the Birkenstock website for guidance. My feet are between 8.5 and 9 (women's sizing), and I normally wear a wide. I got these in a 39 regular and they fit perfectly. (I wear them with feminine skirts, skinny jeans, etc. and feel moderately stylish in them. However, at this point comfort reigns and I'd wear them even if they were as ugly as Crocs. Luckily they're nicer-looking than I remember the old tan suede ones of yesteryear.)

The fit is fine. I swore I would not order these again but I did. They are SO STIFF I can't get the straps in/out/or through the buckles. I know there's a reason they're made like they are, they last forever. After all, they're Birkenstocks. But I am returning. I wish I could wear them but I simply can't.

Excellent quality and craftsmanship! I have wide feet and is so nice not to feel any pinching The ankle strap is great. I can be active without worrying about the sandal sliding off.
