These sneakers are very comfortable and well cushioned but be aware that there is an adjustment period for wearing, especially if you haven't worn zero drop footwear. The Altra website recommended I purchase a size 7 in this style but I purchased my regular size 7.5 from Zappos and I'm glad I did as a 7 would have been too small. I do not find that they fit small at all. The toe box is wide and the heel cup was fine too, there was no slippage. Since I purchased them I walked about nine miles in them, half on roads and half on trails. I found that the sole did not grip well on trails. They do not have great arch support so if you are looking for more of a stability shoe you may want to look at the Repetition model instead.

I think I would have been able to actually be comfortable in this shoe. Unfortunately, my large toe hit the top of the shoe and going another half size up didn't remedy the problem. Also, the inside of the shoe appears to be glued together and was coming apart before I even got the shoe on. Not sure about the quality. Concept and comfort would be great for anyone who doesn't have the long large toe. Darn...had to return.

I have been running for years. As I approach my 60s, I have had some issues with knees, so am always looking for new innovations that might help with this. I also have a wide forefoot, so I was intrigued by the way these shoes were advertised as having a roomy toe box. They must be using a slightly different last, because the size 8 which I almost invariably fit into, was small. I ordered the next size up, and the toe box was great, but my heel slipped in the back. I just tried this one style, so while it might be a great shoe, for me it didn't work out. Never really thought of my feet as hard-to-fit except for the wide forefoot, and it hasn't been a problem with other brands.

The orange accents on this shoe look awful! Not sure why they didn't just stick with the pink. Thought I could get use to it but it just looks too weird, like they ran out of pink and just threw orange on the shoe. Luckily ZAPPOS lets me return items because these are definitely going back. LOVE ZAPPOS, thanks for being so awesome!

Toe box is waaaay too stiff, almost to the point of hurting my toes. This shoe is not very comfortable because of this toe box stiffness.
