The round plastic heel cup does not resist rolling to the side compared to the other superfeet that have squared off heels (green) or plastic stabilizing tabs under the heel (black). Because of this it would get twisted inside the shoe and my heel would press against the outside of the heel counter.

I went to a local Fleet Feet store back in April. They scanned my feet with their 3D scanner & set me up with with these & the proper shoes for running & cross training. I have severe flat feet & these are really what I needed. I wear an 8 1/2 wide shoe & the size C in the insoles all fit together perfectly. I was a little surprised to see the size C says women size 6.5 - 8 & I wear an 8 1/2 but they work with no need to take scissors & trim insoles. I didn't need any break in time either as suggested by the salesperson to wear them every other day, but I was able to wear them permanently in my shoes. I just ran a 10K in these & have been training for 8 weeks prior in them. They really helped my stride. Not to mention foot & knee pain. Can't live without them now. I've been wearing them in my Brooks Adrenaline GTS 18 for running. Anything in an Asics or New Balance for cross training.

I'm 64 and run 3 miles the first thing every morning. I just recovered from a torn plantar fascia and my knees were starting to hurt. Since wearing these (all the time) my feet and knees don't hurt anymore. It's all about mechanics.

I love these! My old local running store first introduced me to them; apparently I have fallen arches, and these do seem to help. Have been using my original pair for over a year and just love them. I've moved far away from my old local shop, and so ordered a second pair from Zappos. Currently have these in my running shoes and in a pair of Sperry boat shoes. They are thin enough that I didn't have to go up a size to fit them in (but those shoes ran a bit large - in general I would go up a half size if I planned to use these). The pink 'women's' Superfeet were too narrow for me, so it's possible these run wide, though I don't wear wide shoes and I find them to be perfect. And, they are long - you trim the ends to fit into your shoe (if you can, take out the original insole and use that as a guide).

I love Superfeet. They have cured my plantar fasciitis. I use them in every shoe. The Carbon edition is great for those shoes that run a little tighter, because the front part (under the ball and toes) is a bit thinner than the blue or green ones I normally wear. Also, the arch seems a bit more supportive. Great job, Superfeet!

The insole is very flat almost no arch. My son says it's comfortable for him. He has flat and wide feet.

I bought these insoles for my hunting boots and they made a world of difference. I've got about 50 miles on them so far, with the longest hike being 20 miles at once. My feet felt great after the 20 mile trek. Definitely give these insoles a try if you're looking for that added comfort and stability.

I wear Superfeet carbon everyday. Feels great and I'd recommend for anyone with tighter fitting footwear. Its super thin but provides great support. I guess thats the carbon materials strength. I have no rolling of the heel like the other reviewer.

I bought a pair in May3 2018, lasted only 6-7months. I play high intensity sport (3x/week) and it started to have a hole already on the front of the insole (due to always on the toe). I bought another pair already on Jan9 2019, and again, same problem (since I'm always on my toes). Aside from the durability (because it's thin), the quality and fit was amazing. It corrected my knee pain, more at ease on my movements. The heel support was solid enough to sustain impact.

This particular style was recommended by the local podiatrist. Unfortunately this has made no improvement in pain or comfort. I understand that this is not as much an issue with Superfeet as it is with the Podiatrist. However, aside from not getting the desire result (reduction of pain thus increased comfort, the height of the heel causes the heel to ride higher so, in shoes that have a low heel/ankle back, this causes your heel to slide out of the shoe ..... or, at a minimum, make you feel like it will. Either way, it is an uncomfortable feeling that you are going to walk out of your shoe. Also, being rigid, does not provide any cushioning comfort.

Do not waste your money on these. I purchased these because I thought they'd be good for my plantar fasciitis. These insoles are HORRIBLE. The thinnest fabric over hard plastic absolutely no cushioning. For the same price as these you can get 3 pairs of Dr Scholls insoles, which I have used for 4 years tried something new this time won't be making that mistake again.

They're hard as sin and feel like they're just plastic. Sure there was support, but what's support if I feel like I'm walking on plastic-covered concrete instead of just concrete? Still hurts, still uncomfortable.

Very comfy and great cushioning. Very light also! Not super stable if doing trail running - better for running on even, flat pavement.

I’ve been battling plantar fasciitis for the past two years. While my feet haven’t had a flair up in the past few months, I’ll still do everything I can to not feel that pain and get more shots in the bottoms of my feet. These insoles help significantly. I walk my dogs two miles a day and do some jump rope. With these, I have no pain. Absolutely wonderful. I ordered a second set for my hiking shoes!

My son has been using in his soccer cleats. It seems to be helping his shin splints! It could be coincidence? But I think the support is helping him correct his gait. Thank you!
