For over 5 years I have lived in wave Orthoheel sandals in the summer but now they are making them so loose and sloppy on my foot that I feel unsafe wearing them. I have tried the smallest size, M5 W6 several times from Zappos and had to send them back.

I wanted to love these sandals, and I did, except for the looseness of the darn straps. I read the other reviews and though, “I don’t have dainty feet, they’ll be fine.” They weren’t. They flew off my feet as I was walking through the house. However, I truly enjoyed standing still in these sandals. The arch support looked daunting when I opened the box, but it was nice! Supportive, but not stiff. I’ll definitely be looking at other footwear from Vionic.

I am so disappointed with the looseness of the straps. This is the 5th pair I have worn over the years so I know what they should feel like. The length (I always order a size down because they are unisex) is fine as is the arch support. But the strap is very loose. The part that goes between the toes is a full quarter inch longer which accounts for the poor fit. I I am now reluctant to order another pair.

Love vionic tide (have gotten 4-5 pairs to date) but out of stock in my desired color and got the wave. But for whatever reason these really aggravated my left little toe after extended use. Too late to send back but am getting vionic tide now.

Had high hopes for these after hearing how wonderful they were, but sadly I wasn't impressed. The foot bed felt plastic-y and cheap, and reminded me of the foot bed of Crocs. They did have decent arch support, but the sole felt fairly "squishy" and I imagine would quickly compress and break down with use. Sending these back and continuing my search for another supportive flip flop option.

I bought these back at the end of June and it's mid October and I can no longer wear them. The left shoe's toe hold is loose and almost ready to come out completely. Glad I keep another pair of another brand in my truck for emergencies like what happened to me. This is my first issue with Vionics. I really like the shoes and the support they give me. I just don't think a shoe should start falling apart less than 4 months after purchase. Hopefully Vionics will make good.

I ordered a pair of black ones and Khaki ones about 2 weeks ago and was delighted at the perfect fit of the black ones but had to return the Khaki because the straps were way too loose. I thought I would try another black pair in case they were made differently but I need to return this pair too because they are even worse. Really disappointed the 5m/6w size is the smallest they make.

This is a man's sandal, both in style and fit. I ordered size 8. I normally wear a women's 8.5, but sized down as per suggestions in the reviews. The length of the sandal was okay, but not only was it really wide, the straps were bigger than normal as well. Like they are designed for a man's foot. If you have "fat" feet, this sandal might work for you. I consider my foot wide, and I always order a wide width in running shoes. The extra large accommodation made these shoes impossible to walk in. I thought I'd trip as they flopped around. Returned. Not buying this brand. Should have realized when they listed this as women's 8 (men's 9).

These are marketed as being not gender specific but they are definitely for a man's foot. I'm a woman. Too bad, I wanted to avoid the women's metallic colors but alas I cannot. They are great sandals for high arches.

Reviewed at Vionic Shoes
My first pair of Vionic Shoes was the 24RYDER/Ryder Black/White (616542017057). I purchased them through a local store here on the island. Well I really liked the slipper as it was something I could wear for dress and for leisure. It also had the straps that I could adjust as the slipper was stretched due to normal wear. One of the shoes broke (the part that goes in between the toe). It happened while I was walking my dog in the rain and I was more than 4 blocks from my home. Took me a while to get home as I was walking on rocks pavement grass etc. Very frustrated. So I decided to purchase another pair. This time I had to do it online as the store I purchased from was no longer in business. The new pair (44WAVE Black) (616542166564) is okay but I'm disappointed it doesn't have a strap that can be adjusted. And I couldn't find anything online that did. Because I like the extra arch support these provide I made the purchase. The straps have already started to give and are loose when I walk with them. Not sure what to do now. I pretty much wear these everyday. Very rarely do I wear tennis shoes or dress shoes. Just disappointed for those reasons. I do think you should try this brand as overall the arch supports can help with plantar facsitis (sp?). Good luck to you all.

Definitely agree with other reviewers. The arch support is very little. I used to wear orthaheel and never sent one pair back. I don't know what's happened, but definitely not a good product anymore. Will be looking for different Orthotic sandals.

These are definitely not for a woman's foot, unless you have an extremely wide foot. They are more like a men's width D or E. I normally wear a women's 11, and that is what I ordered. They were HUGE. So fine for a man or a woman with very wide feet, not for an average woman's foot. If they had fit, the arch support looked like it would have been excellent.

I LOVE VIONICS - I wear them almost exclusively after my arches collapsed. I am returning these because the sole fits fine, but the straps are WAY big. I don't have a narrow foot or anything. I'm an 11. I question the wisdom of making this shoe for women AND men - men have more mass to their feet, this feels like it would be perfect for a man's foot. The straps flop around on mine. I have a big SIZE foot, but not a fat foot LOL. Sad.

These run small & narrow. They look great but they are simply unwearable if you try to wear your normal size.

This is the second pair I have bought .. this one is nothing like the first. Heavier sole that feels uncomfortable and flops weirdly.... looser all around. They obviously have changed the design or the manufacturer, which is too bad because the others were perfect. Probably will not be repurchasing. Why do companies have to always "fix what ain't broken". Many unhappy customers with the new design. Read your customers feed back Vionic.

Not really true to size. The length fits, but the webbing is way too loose, so the shoe flops too much. It also turns my foot to the outside so much my feet get sore, and I have to stop wearing the shoes. Not worth the price.

Very disappointed in these. Why would anyone make a unisex sandal? It's no secret that men's feet are bigger than women's. Have ordered a different type. Hope they aren't big and loose because I really need them for PF.

I bought these because I have Planter Fasciitis and they were the only flip flop with Orthaheel technology that didn't have any embellishments on them. I am returning them because they are wide and I am unable to keep them on my feet.

I have some Vionic fuzzy slippers which have cured my plantar fasciitis issues, so thought these would make good summer slippers/house shoes. However, the straps were too loose. Way too much flip and flop. I thought it was perhaps because they were unisex until I saw similar comments on the women's sizing. (I ordered the unisex because the women's are all too decorated for my tastes. Please make some plain ones!) These shoes were so loose they felt dangerous. Too bad as the arch felt great. Returned.

The top straps were too high/loose and I had a hard time walking in them without having to curl my toes. Wish they would have worked as footbed was very comfortable.

I love some Vionic products (e.g. the slim insert for casual shoes. And I have one pair of shoes that have great arch support, but are slightly large in the toe. Because it is a closed shoe, it works OK. But this sandal is way to loose. This seems to be an issue for Vionic on many shoes. Maybe it's the whole size only; I don't know. As one other reviewer mentioned, the arch on this fell more towards my heel, not my true arch. But I have now returned two pairs of their shoes (this and a bedroom shoe).

I have a pair from 20 plus years ago and they fit great. I bought a new pair last year and absolutely hate them. The straps are way too loose for my liking. I feel like I am going to walk right out of them. Please fix this problem. I have so many pairs of Vionic and this is the only issue I have and I absolutely live in these flip flops in the summer time.

This shoe was too wide and will not stay on my feet. The arch was not where it needed to be. Not impressed.
