Great shoe for my little guy, 16 months. The M width was even perfect for his chubby feet. It feels slightly bigger then other shoes I have purchased that are the same size but he will grow into it, rather slightly bigger anyways. Very cute and versatile, love the bottoms as they are so flexible for his newly walking feet.

These were my sons first real pair of shoes and I couldn't have loved them more! They were easy to get on, comfortable, well made and looked really nice with any outfit. I would definitely recommend these shoes!

Super cute shoes. My 13 month old walks really well in them. He is usually resistant to shoes but these are very flexible so I guess it feels closer to being barefoot. Easy to put on. They open very wide. I will be buying more Stride Rite in the future.

Bought these shoes for my 10 month old grandson. Seem very well made and very easy to put on. Zappos service is hard to beat.

Love these shoes for my guy. Perfect for just learning to walk with enough support. Easy on & off. Dress up or down. Buying a pair in next size up I like them that much. Love the quality Stride Rite provides. This is our only shoe as a new walker...no sneakers.

These are such great shoes for toddlers. I had a hard time finding shoes for my son when he first started walking. These worked perfectly. Size 4.5 XW. He has now outgrown them. I wish you had the XW option in bigger sizes. Love the fact the you can take out an insert from the shoe to make sure the shoes still fit!

Sorry, Zappos, but I ordered 12 pairs of shoes from you before I found the right one for my son. I don't live close to a Stride Rite so you are a God send. I finally found one that works with his very high-arched foot....I guess that is what you would call it...very chubby on top and no other shoe would even go on his foot. If I finally scrunched his foot in a shoe, they would fall off. Not this shoe. The cloth tongue is perfect for his chubby foot. He is 12 months old and started walking at 11 months and I finally gave in and bought him shoes. Bought a little big, size 5 but they work great. Nice soft soles for his cruising around. Thank you Zappos for your excellent and convenient service!

Great shoe! My son loves them. They hold up so well because of the rubber on the toe. Size as true and the wider with is a great option for chubby, little feet! This is my second pair of stride rite for him and I was happy with both!

I cannot say just how much I love these shoes. They are my son's first pair of "real" shoes after graduating from crib shoes, and they seem to be very comfortable: he can walk in them just fine, and doesn't try to pull them off or anything. Basically, he seems to forget he's wearing them, which I think is a good sign. They are well made and look really cute with jeans or cargo pants. We like them so much that after ordering them in navy, I came back to buy the brown, too.

These shoes are perfect! The fit is great, my 13 month old wears a size 5, so I bought a 6 so we can get some use out of them (with velcro it's easy to adjust the fit). They are nice and wide for his chubby feet and the velcro makes it so easy to put on and take off. The look is great too; it's a light brownish color and they look great with tan pants and with jeans!

I bought these shoes for my son's 1st birthday after seeing him take his first steps. These shoes are easy to put on and great for everyday use. They are sturdy and stay on perfectly and at the same time soft for him and I feel I will be able to tell through the soft front his toes, when it will be time for the next size. I think I'll just stick with this brand and go a 1/2 size up every time. Would highly recommend!

Overall this is a good shoe. Unfortunately, the shoe's sole is a little too stiff for my little guy. Robeez were the shoe that we found that he was the best in. If your little one is new to walking go for the other brand as it is more flexible. If your have a more advanced walker, these shoes should do just fine.

The Stride Rite Soft Motions are a great first shoe. The soft sole allows crawlers and early walkers to learn to move without hindering the development of balance and little feet like I feel some hard soled early shoes will. My one complaint about the particular style is that with only one strip of velcro to secure the shoe, my son can easily undo it and take the shoes off. We've nearly lost a shoe on many stroller rides when he's removed it. Also, I would note that though we bought the shoe in a wide size, it's still pretty snug on my little one's chubby feet.
