I've had it through all of the seasons, in several different climates, and it's the perfect jacket. I love it camping in the morning, snoozing on an airplane, bundling up when mountains get windy, but I'm hot from moving. I also love the pocket placement, makes it easy to be a good belayer.

Really comfortable, good for use in colder weather (from 50-30 F).
Only caveat, the arms are a little long. Although I'm 5'7", so I may be a bad reference point!

I am a tried and true lover of the Atom LT Hoody but never really gave the jacket a try until this past season and I am so glad I did. Skiing mid-layer was always a struggle as I hated having so many hoods in the way but not anymore. Best part its perfectly breathable and warm to wear on a spring day with my bibs Apres.

I love this jacket. It's my go to for every adventure as it packs down small enough to fit in my rucksack and it's so versatile - works well for layering or as an outer jacket. It is comfortable, looks smart, allows freedom of movement, keeps me warm and is so lightweight! And I love the tall collar and close fitting cuffs.

I purchased this jacket in 2018 and have worn it religiously ever since. I have used it for hiking in cool weather, layering while downhill skiing, brush clearing, and for work (as an archaeologist). During the early days of the lockdown in 2020, this was even my go to for informal Zoom meetings. When it first arrived, I was skeptical that it would last very long and was worried that I would snag it on something in the woods that would rip it open. To my surprise, it has stood up to a great deal of punishment and abuse, way more than I think it was intended for (getting snagged by thorns while clearing brush, for example, or providing a 'cushion' while falling down a scree slope). It is still in great shape except that one of my kids got some sort of sugary substance on it last year and this has proven impossible to clean off completely (there is a crusty patch on it). When the temperatures are above 5C and you get your heart pumping, it is a bit warm and so can get a little moist on the inside but that doesn't affect the insulation and it dries very quickly, which is great. Otherwise, this is one of the best pieces of clothing I have ever owned. For an Arc Teryx product, it does run a little large and loose, which I like (I own the Proton AR Hoody as well which runs a bit tighter).

I bought one of these in 2012, still going strong. It is my go-to jacket and has been all over the world with me. I use it for mountain biking, hiking 14ers, backpacking, or everyday use. I have long arms and this jacket has proper length sleeves for me. I have jackets from other companies that tend to rip rather easily and wear out quickly. Seriously, Arc'teryx, thanks for making such a comfortable, well-fitting, versatile jacket. You get what you pay for.

There's a good reason this is one of their best sellers, and highly praised by nearly all who own one. I've had mine almost a year. I bought it wondering if I really would wear it that much after owning both the Atom SL (for when I don't need much thermal warmth) and Kyanite (for when I'm not worried as much about wind), but it turns out in day to day use, I may wear it more than both.
If there is one key I want to point out though, it's this: This doesn't breathe great. What that means is if your'e wearing it for all round use, walking, hiking, sitting, around camp, around town, you'll be very pleased with it. If you're buying it and planning on using it for cold or cool weather active pursuits (even hiking, as long as you're not stopping much) you'll potentially overhead in it. So, if you like all the specs on the Atom LT, but need it for more active work, look at either the Proton LT, which is similar but breaths better, or the Atom SL, which has a little less loft in the body, and almost none in the arms, but is surprisingly warm, as long as your'e moving. If you need less loft, but want more wind protection, look at the Nuclei FL (aimed at climbing, but also cold weather cycling, sailing, even just hiking in windy conditions).

My second Atom LT jacket. Absolutely love it. The jacket is warm enough for up to 30F with a t-shirt inside. Note that the fit is a trim fit, but it fitted me perfectly.

Just took the plunge and paid way more than I ever thought I would for a jacket of this type. I bought it to replace a fleece layer that wasn't quite warm enough on those windy days here in Sidney.
This jacket is amazing! First off, the fit is perfect. I can put my vest under it if it's raining, or over it when it's dry out. The stretch panels have plenty of give without being too loose when worn alone. The cuffs fit perfectly and stay nicely seated even when moving around. The pockets are big, easy to access and warm since they are behind the insulation. Pretty much windproof except where the side panels let in a bit of air if it's gusty out, but that's also how it breathes so it's not a bad thing. It warms up quickly when you're moving but vents well and keeps you warm when stopped. I haven't had a chance to get it really wet yet, but it shed every drop in a mild shower no problem. Quality of construction is evident everywhere in the beautifully straight seams, zipper pulls and hem cinche design. It's perfect for my intended use as both a mid layer and stand alone. Now I want an AR version as well.

utilis notamment en ski alpinisme et trail running pendant les inter-saisons lorsque les tempratures sont encore fraiches. Cette veste permet de rester au sec sans avoir chaud ni froid, ce qui est parfait.

Got mine delivered today and so impressed. Fit is great, awesome material, and very lightweight. Wore it on a stroll downtown in 8C weather, and was very comfortable. Going to be a great Spring jacket. Another amazing product from the folks at Arc'teryx.

The LT jacket is so incredibly versatile, it might just be the perfect jacket. As mid-layer on a cold ski day, or something to toss on at a beach bonfire the temperature range seems to cover everything from below freezing to 70 degrees. On top of the quality and functionality, it fits so well. I'm pretty tall and slim and tend to have trouble with finding clothes that fit my body type. The medium isn't too short and fits perfectly.

The jacket is warm for its weight and volume. Light and packs small enough to fit in a day pack. Dry fast if wet after being in the rain. Easy to clean by machine wash. The jacket style (no hood) is simple and can be used everyday as casual wear and not just for outdoors. Looks new after 2 years of constant use, except some piling by the side where the backpack hip belt sits on. A dark or deep colour is practical as I use it almost everyday. I am between XS and S and size S fits well over Delta LT (S) and Kyanite LT(XS) fleece. Works on its own or as mid layer under windshell (S) or hardshell (S). I have 2019 version, and find a higher collar would be more protective.

I bought this jacket 5 months ago and it just feels awesome. Have worn it almost all times and it replaces my other jackets often. It's light feeling and warmth combined with quick drying after a light shower makes it the best all rounder weather jacket.

I got this for my husband a couple of months ago as he was jealous of my atom hoody. He was immediately pleasantly surprised when wearing it out in a light rain. It immediately shed the water. It is now his go-to jacket for most activities. He does feel a bit more nervous about snagging it in bushes or thorns so it may have limited durability in some environments.

Great news! I did your shopping for you, and after looking at every mid layer jacket known to mankind, this is the best bang for your buck on the market. It looks amazing, it's not too puffy, so perfect for under a shell (I have the gore-Tex rebird anorak). So by itself it's warm enough till you need mittens and a wool cap ("toque" if you are Canadian), then you put it under a gore-Tex shell and you have a water proof, wind proof, all terrain winter jacket. Done!

This jacket has proved to be one of the most versatile pieces of my wardrobe. I am constantly outside and the jacket is light as a feather and fits underneath heavier weight coats when needed. Worn alone it is stylish and is great for a wide range of temperatures and also repels water.
