Nice jacket. I love how it fits although the cuffs could be a little bit snugger. I also love the fleece side panels. The version without the hood is much nicer in my opinion as I find that the hooded version does not have enough adjustability in the hood.
Unfortunately all versions of the Atom with the stretch knit cuffs (LT Jacket, LT Hoody, AR Jacket, AR Hoody) seem to have very poor quality control. The vast majority of the jackets I have seen in stores have asymmetrical cuffs.
Basically don't buy it online unless you don't care about getting a perfect jacket.
I have attached a photo so you can see what I am talking about.

This was the first time I bought an arcteryx product and when I received it and used it, I was disappointed.
When the jacket arrived, it was super creased/wrinkled, as if it had been squished and stored awkwardly.
Secondly, the jacket fits very poorly around the waist and without a hem adjuster, wind keeps making its way up the jacket, taking away it's insulating functionality. I cannot use the front pockets when it is cold because it exacerbates the problem with the waist lining.
What is strange is that the Atom LT Hoody has a hem adjuster but the Atom LT Jacket does not. Had I known this, I would have not gotten this jacket and paid the extra C$20 for the Atom LT Hoody as it is a lot to pay for a jacket that does not function perfectly.

Was my go-to jacked for fall and early winter. Surprisingly warm, even though it is very light weight. Has a great slim fit. Problem is that the material is so thin that it is very weak and prone to snag or tear easily. Was a great jacket but lasted only a few months. For the price, would suggest you find something more durable.

Great concept of materials & quality. I have an athletic build and the coat "lofts" right in the mid-section only, so it gives the appearance of having a huge beer belly. If that appearance doesn't bother you, I highly recommend this piece.
To Arcteryx's defense, they do list it as a mid-layer, rather than an outer layer, so the appearance shouldn't be a concern of mine. I guess for the price, I would've liked to use it as both an outer wear & mid-layer, rather than just a mid-layer, because I can't get over the "beer belly" appearance it has as an outer layer.

I owned a the original version of this jacket and loved it. Rain and wind resistant, very warm and breathable. it was my go-to casual jacket, and worked well for hiking.
I bought another Atom LT recently (updated 2014-2015 model), and to my disappointment, the collar is now insulated and a half inch taller. The velour-type inside-collar material is gone, so the collar does not have any shape to it anymore,it just flops around like a crumpled sleeping bag. It really changes the look of the jacket (negatively), to the point where I wouldn't wear the new "updated" Atom LT coat around town, it just doesn't look very refined or presentable. Might be fine as a mid-layer if it's only used for warmth under a nicer-looking jacket. I'm obviously really disappointed since I loved the original version. It's a shame!

I been purchasing Arc'teryx products for over a decade, and until this year, have generally been enthusiastic and loyal. I needed to put my Atom out to pasture recently, and purchased the latest iteration. I was diasppointed to discover loose and dangling threads and what appears to be inferior materials. While I can;t speak with authority, it seems as though what other commentators are syaing about the degrading of the product since the brand was sold to Adidas and since they transfered production from Canada to China is true. Levis has done the same recently, and the quality and durability of the fabric is a downgrade. All signs of companies pursuing proftis while forgoing pride in craftsmanship. I will looking elsewhere in the future.

The Coreloft insulation is good for about a season or two. Have had this jacket for a 3rd season now and the insulation on the back is nearly fully compressed in comparison to the front and sleeves. When this compression occured the inner lining on the back dropped visibly down below the hem showing on the outside of the Atom LT. The compession makes it colder on the back side.
The warranty department merely relaminated the lining to bring it above the hem but the issue is the insulation loft on the back. I would not consider this jacket for the insulation feature, it fits well and looks great but its function as an "insulated" jacket is really questionable after 2 seasons of wear hence the fair rating.
It is a nice, light and good looking jacket so if you buy it do not wear it while sitting with a seat back for any length of time. Any synthetic insulation will eventually compress but the Atom LT starts out with thin insulation and readily flattens out in a short period of time for a product with a lifetime guarantee.
I bought a large size, and I am 5 - 10 and weigh 160. Large was a better fit since the waist length on a medium was too short for me.

It seems that Arc'teryx has made some design changes to this jacket. I was looking to replace an Atom LT Leaf, Xsmall that I bought in 2016. This version seems to be much slimmer than my previous coat. That's fine; I have heard the Leafs have much roomier feel. The big issue is that the coat is much longer in sleeves and body. I would say 2 inches longer. Very disappointed. Guess I will be keeping my older jacket a little longer and see if they make any changes in the next season. Measurements: height - 5'5", weight - 142 lbs, athletic build

Like every Arcteryx product, it works in the beginning then as it's out of warranty it starts to have problems with something.
In this case the heat-seats. They simply dissolved at the waist.
Doesn't matter the care, how you store... it simply happens like in lot of other products owned and bought over the years.
Simply these products seem to be very nice, functional, comfortable and well manufactured. But it's scheduled obsolescence. These should be kind of product for life, almost, considering how much you pay them.
And that they're designed (I would say.. they should be) for a more stressful life compared to the daily usage.
Strongly NOT recommended because of price. And I can't accept a zipper that stops to work after two years: no way.
Spend your money for other brands with better quality. Acteryx ignores the quality.

Firstly, a bit of context - I bought a Gamma Lt softshell in January 2016 and it is bombproof - it has been through everything. I was recently disappointed to find out that a new subsequent version has replaced the 'burly weave' fabric which made that model so durable. This raised my suspicions of Arcteryx's latest levels of quality and durability.
Nonetheless, I needed a new warm mid-layer insulated jacket and have long heard good things about the Atom Lt jacket, so I decided to buy it. Upon receiving the jacket I was shocked by how cheap and flimsy it felt, furthermore the zip was sticking/jumping at various points when being zipped or unzipped. I wore the jacket out to work with my heavy backpack, and later on that night I noticed that the backpack had caused abrasion marks over the shoulders. That was the final straw...I sent the jacket back for a refund.
Quite simply, this jacket is garbage..I have my two old model Arcteryx Gamma Lt jackets, but will never buy another new piece of Arcteryx gear...it's such a shame when good companies start cutting corners and the quality of their products declines.

I love Arc'teryx, I own two shells, countless layers, and the Atom AR, I love and rave about all of them. I wanted the Atom LT to have a lighter layer option. The Atom LT Hoody has a draw string waist, but the jacket version does not. Instead it flairs out, allowing all the wind to go straight up creating a cold draft. Should have got the hoody version.

I really don't know what everyone is talking about. I ski mostly resort with some backcountry and sweat a lot when I'm skiing hard. I went to Lake Louise, AB, and had a pretty good base layer on with this as my mid layer. I was quite excited as I had just bought it. It got absolutely soaked with sweat, worse than any midlayer I've ever worn. It was below -10 and on the lifts I absolutely froze.
