I'm 6' 165lb with a bit of a dad bod and the Atom AR in Medium is too tight on the belly, the Large is just right. That said, the Covert Hoody in Large is waay big, the sleeves hang down to completely cover my thumbs. The shoulder T-seam is maybe 1" past where it should be. There's so much room inside I could wear the Atom AR inside the covert hoody. Arc'teryx lists both Atom and Covert as "Regular fit".

LOVE this jacket!!! It's my new go-to jacket. The sleeves are a little long but same with every jacket I own. Super warm and goes over my flannels very well. I highly would recommend this jacket to someone I know.

This is a casual fleece that can work as a base or outer layer depending on your size selection and indented use.
5'10 160# ordered a medium, thought it was too tight in arms and chest with only a tshirt underneath.
If you're looking for a overly snug sweaty fit order your standard size, otherwise for a more relaxed cool and comfortable fit order up.
Exchanged for large. feels good under my medium theta ar and large Gamma LT.

Ok so finally pulled the trigger and gotta say I love it , ok so after reading the reviews and people saying order up I'd say depends on what ur wearing under it . I ordered the xl and wearing a Patagonia R1 under it and have plenty of room not to mention cozy n 50 degree weather.

This is one of my top 5 Arc' pieces. It looks, feels, and performs amazingly. However it is not windproof at all! Great for still, chilly mornings. I would consider this a must have !
5'11'' 165 lbs I prefer the trimmer fit of the small, but Medium could work as well

This is probably the best sweater on the market. Breathable and yet warm. Comfortable and not restricting movement. You can have it on as layer all day long and then comfortably sleep in it too.
Very versatile.
Maybe as a thought - a face mask as on some other Arcteryx hoody, to prevent dehydration when you sleep on high altitude.

I bought this fleece hoody after reading several reviews, which helped firm up my opinion as to whether the hoody was value for money or not. I must conclude by saying the hoody is made with top quality materials, and the final construction results in a very warm, comfortable and smart looking piece of outdoor wear. I have worn this hoody in the Mourne mountains in September without any insulated jacket and found it to be extermely warm and light weight

Love this hoody. It's warm, incredibly soft and comfy, and unassuming. Fits well. I'm 5'11 / 200lbs and the large fits me perfectly. The length is just right, and it's little less tight than other Arcteryx items I've purchased, yet not baggy either. Works well as a standalone jacket, or layered under a shell or down vest.

This is like a hoodie, on crack. The craftsmanship is excellent, the fit is great, it's true to size and it is warm.... Not like a heater... Like a raging bonfire on the hill. Well worth the money. I have the men's and my wife has the women's. Both are amazing!

I love my Covert Hoody and get lots of compliments on it. So warm, cozy with great classic lines. Offers versatility as a sweater or a layering piece under my Beta AR jacket. Love it!

I have owned this hoody for over 5 years and it's finally beginning to show its age. I have used this hoody for everything from a dinner out to a mid-layer climbing companion in the Tetons. This hoody is extremely versatile as a casual stand-alone warmer to a reasonably technical insulation piece under a hard shell. The fabric shows minimal pilling or wear. The laminates have held strong. It's also reasonably easy to repair as the years of at least weekly wear have included a few unintentional rips, snags or punctures.
Great hoody. I'll buy another when this one's done.

I bought this last year i was attracted to the beautiful looking material and i must say its a chick magnet.Girls check me out all the time wearing this hoody. Its like a very smart cardigan with a hood with oozes quality. In cold windy weather i recommended you wear a long sleeve base layer as the sleeves are very breathable and let cold wind in but the rest of the jacket is reinforced and can stop the chilly wind.

I bought this for walking my dog and general wear, it arrived today. It is great quality and fitted but can be worn underneath a waterproof, I got it to go under the Arc'teryx Women's SL Alpha and it fits perfectly. Nice long sleeves, the hoody is nice and snug and the small left arm pocket is great for putting a credit card or money in. Only had it a few hours but love it already. If you are considering this hoody it is worth the purchase as it is great quality and what you expect. They are true to size too.

I bought the Covert Hoody early this year in green. I absolutely love this fleece hoody. I bought an Atom hoody for mid layering as well. This Covert hoody does all the good things a fleece should do and more.
I've had experiance with a few other high end brands fleece hoody's and they all just fit funny, kind of baggy around the waist and the fleece was always too thick or much too thin.
Arc'Teryx hit the nail on the head with the Covert series of fleece. It has a perfectly sized hood, just like all other Arc'Teryx jacket hoods, the Coverts' also fits perfectly and looks the part. The fit is tailored, but it does not ride up when raising your arms.
I've warn it also in 70-75 degree temps with no problem. Other fleece are just much too insulated and don't breath, something the Covert does very well.
Another A+ item from Arc'Teryx. Once you buy Arc'Teryx and experiance the quality, all others will seem second rate. Arc'Teryx, you have converted me!

Great all around piece, all of the other reviews are spot on. Only question I have, what would be the best way to add stitching to it?

I've been really happy with this hoody. It's my go to hoody in the fall and winter. Weave is similar to a wool sweater though its lighter, softer and more comfortable. I use this mainly for casual use, though it works well as a base layer under a shell too. For heavy use, like alpine climbing or backcountry skiing I'd pick something without the hood and a lighter material. Great for casual hikes or snow shoeing. Cut is athletic, style is sleek.

This sweater is incredibly warm, i was amazed at just how warm it is, I have worn this along with a base layer and hard shell well below zero and have always been toastie warm even when not active its very warm yet breathes well. The fit is spot on and allows free movement without restricting you in any way, the cuffs seal off nicely to stop the cold getting in and the hood keeps your neck and head nice and warm. The tight weave makes this sweater nice and durable i wear mine often and have had it a while with no signs of wear.
Great sweater! Highly recommend!

The Covert Hoody is a durable and functional fleece layer that serves well as an outer in chilly conditions or as part of a layering system for colder weather.
I have had my Covert hoody for going on 3 years now, and while it sees near daily use during the colder months of the year, you would not guess it from how good of condition this garment is in.
The Mid-weight fleece is soft to the touch, but durable enough to survive years of abuse. The garment features a great trim cut which allows the hoody to layer extremely well with other Arc'teryx jackets and layers to provide a comfortable, seamless fit without bulk or reduced mobility.
This hoody will keep you warm and stylish for years!

I was used to wear the Fugitive Hoody, which was/ is one of my favorite jackets. Very light and warm, something almost better than your own skin :); usable every day, every season. When to cold, I combine it with the "Solo", when to wet with my "Alpha SV".
Unfortunately the Fugitive is out of production, fortunately their is the Covert Hoody!! So I can enjoy the mountains every day I want!

I bought this a month ago and have been wearing it every other day since. It's a nice light and warm fleece (although it does not act as a very good windbreaker). The quality of the materials is great and the colour is true to the website. One downside is that it is a little tight on the armpits and tends to accumulate sweat even when the rest of the upper body isn't necessarily hot. Overall very happy with this purchase and would recommend to others looking for a casual, but technical, fleece.
