I love this jacket. The materials make me feel like million bucks. The zipper is fluid and a pleasure to close. The insulation is incredibly warm despite the thickness of insulation. The weight is so low that I often forget that I am wearing it. The DRW is extraordinary and keeps me dry in this wet PWN weather. I love this jacket so much that it is my go to jacket. I wear it everywhere. However, I wish the collar reached higher when fully zipped so it covers my face more. The loss of a star is due to the fit. According to the website, this jacket is supposed be a fitted but it is slightly too baggy for my taste.

bought my partner this jacket as a replacement for his old one of the exact same jacket. Still a great product- wish the zipper stayed the rope/cord material rather than the new plastic/rubber- but that's minor.

Great coat but returned for a large. My measurements indicated a medium using the sizing guide, but when it arrived the arm pit area was too tight. If you are at the max for medium measurements I would go for a large.

Medium was a bit short in the body & tight in the pits.
Large has very baggy sleeves, especially in the forearms, but fits way better everywhere else. Just have to constantly pull up the sleeves, which is a bit annoying.
5'11 and 170lb with 42" chest and 34" waist.
Otherwise very comfy and easy to zip up quickly, good layering piece.

I'm a 6'2" thin to medium built man and a large fits me perfectly. It's my favourite mid layer. Feels like it's tailored specifically for me. The materials feel like they should be a bit higher quality for the price though

purchased this item to be a travel and hiking jacket. recently took it to iceland for hiking and found it to be a great in between of some insulation with layering and breathable enough that I didn't feel like I was walking in a trash bag. i can also use this in mild falls and winters in California. great piece.

I bought mine at the end of 2018. The price has come up a lot, but the jacket is still as comfortable and worthy of protecting me from the elements as it was on day one so I'd say it's well worth it. At 200, it was an amazing product for the price and quality. At 320 there are several cheaper options, but none that I would trust or depend on as much compared to Arc'teryx gear.
The jacket keeps me warm in nicer winter weather and a great layering piece for activities in fall thru spring. It's too warm for me in summer but I run warm!
Make sure to wash it or bring it in to a shop to have it dwr treated every two years or so!
It is tapered so if you want to layer underneath don't buy too snug! Bigger is better here.

I have purchased this coat twice for my husband and once for myself and while overall we both love these coats and use them for absolutely EVERY activity I find it so frustrating that men have so many more colours to choose from. There are literally double the options. WHY? I am in need of a new one but have held off the last two years because the women's colours are so lacking that I'm just looking for an alternative at this point. Just so odd and disappointing.

Got this last month, it's been working, skiing, fishing, etc. It's replacing my atom lt from 2017ish. Still nice, but it's gone backwards a bit. The fit is longer and skinnier. While I assume that keeps up with streetwear trends it doesn't do much help in the mountains. Just makes it heavier and constrictive. Still pretty comfy though. The BAD update is this ridiculous frame in the hood. I can see what they were going for but.... it's a hood. Let's not reinvent the wheel here. It's uncomfortable and when synched causes a cold spot on your temples and looks pretty goofy. Also, don't try to cut it out like I did. It's sewn in. Other than that, still a great jacket and one of the best. If you can get one from a few years back, do it. If not, this will do.

I bought the Atom a couple of months ago for shoulder season backpacking. Over a 200 weight merino baselayer, the coat was warm down to the low thirties, and very breathable, even for off-trail snowshoeing. It isn't meant, though, for anything more than a light intermittent rain. In any sustained rain it will soak through (though still provide some warmth). I'm 5'9" and thin, and the small was fine, even a tad long. I could have added a thin fleece under it.

I bought this jacket a couple months ago and I live in Boise Idaho. I am an avid climber and enjoy going outdoors. Lately, the temperatures have been dropping to 30 in Boise and below 30 in some places I have visited wearing this.
I had a Patagonia Down Sweater Hooded Pullover for roughly 3 years before losing it this year. I needed to get a new midlayer and decided to go with this one because of the reviews. After wearing this for a couple months and having a couple weeks of intermittent snow I can safely say this is a great layer IF you cinch down the bottom. Without cinching the bottom down I feel cold at around 40 degrees (F). With the bottom cinched down I am willing to go as cold as 25 with just a t-shirt underneath. This is a great, lightweight, surprisingly packable layer. Much better than down for my situation because of the increased mobility, breathability, and similar warmth.
I'm 6'1" 160 pounds. With the medium, my arms and shoulders fit perfectly, but if I stretch my hands above my head it barely covers my belly button - that is normal for me, though.

I received this jacket as a birthday gift in October. So far, I have found it to be a good jacket. I find it warm for temps from 30 degrees to 50 degrees (in Fahrenheit). The fabric is very comfortable and surprising stretchy, it has provided good range of motion. I like the addition of the fleece panels on the sides and have found the jacket to be nice for low intensity workouts: some backpacking stretches, most hikes, walks, and other things of the sort. It's also ok for some really cold workouts. The hood is very well designed and I've found it suitable in place of a hat on trips where I don't I want to keep track of one. All in all, an amazing piece of insulation.

I have owned 3 Atom LT, the first two from 2012 era (one I lost) and the third from 2017. I prefer the face fabric of the 2012 series over 2017 due to the new version having a lighter fabric which for me has not been as durable, the fabric feels significantly different. My 2017 has holes everywhere, the 2012 versions I have worn for much longer and use more as an outer layer and it has no holes.
I use my LT year round, winter as a mid layer while snowboarding, climbing and in summer as a stand alone on cooler days or at night. it does a great job and during high output activities moisture is wicked away towards my shell which is ideal, as the garment doesn't stay wet and if does get dam from body heat it dries quickly and still retains its warmth.

It's fits so well and does what it needs to do. Breathable. I can wear on cool summer nights and also snowshoeing in the winter. Versatile. The fabric does seem delicate though and I don't wear it with a pack because of this which is annoying. Just put a thicker version of the proton shell on this already!
The one issue I've had is that the armpit is starting to wear through on one side where the fleece side panels are. Seems to have done so from just armpit friction seeing as how I have never worn a pack with it. Will probably develop a hole at some point I'd imagine.
I don't like how part of the waist draw is laminated. Just stitch the whole thing.

Have never had a hoody that is so warm and comfy. Despite this, I have friends with the same hoody, and they have quickly gained a couple holes after only a few months that needed to be patched. Arcteryx calls this "Wear and Tear" so they will not provide a refund or replacement. 5 star hoody when you first have it on, but because of how fragile it is id give it a 3 star.

I bought the. newest version earlier this year. I still love the cut and style but the new version is very close to my SL. I would rather that this version kept the warmth/insulation of the previous version.

The perfect jacket for day to day or on the go. It is the jacket that I casually go to and grab most days as it is comfortable, warm, and versatile. It fits very true to size.
The only issue is that it isn't as durable as I would like it to be.

I bought the jacket a year ago and I love it. It is very light, packs well, and is perfect for layering. On its own it is warm enough for late spring and early fall. In winter it is perfect as a mid layer. The only complaint I have are the sleeves, the cuffs are too tight

I have had the pleasure of having and using this jacket for over a year now, and I must say I am impressed! The warmth that this thin and light jacket gives is truly remarkable, almost magic. Mostly use this jacket as a standalone piece, but it can easily be layered for mid-winter use. Great quality, my only con is that the chin protection easily gets piled or roughed up by beard stubble.

Works great as a midlayer with jackets that have stormhood and as a standalone piece.
This is becoming my favourite piece of clothing, it is very comfortable and the fit is spot on. It doesn't restrict movements at all.
Only thing I'm worried about is the durability of the face fabric, it feels a bit delicate. I've had a few branches brush against the fabric but luckily no rips so far.
Lighter colours might stain easily, so be wary of that.
