I bought this hoody a few months ago after realizing that all of my down jackets have no hoodies. My cloth cotton "designer" hoodies would not fit the bill as they are not insulative and are not very fitting for outdoor purposes. I saw one of these Atom LT hoody's in my local outfitter and was instantly sold. The ultra soft inside liner material feels like absolute heaven on my skin. The Coreloft insulation is neither too thick or thin, its the perfect loft fill for brisk winter days and perfect for layering. I have to say, my two absolute favorite parts of this hoody are the hood and the elastic cuffs. I know, you are saying "elastic cuffs?"; but let me assure you, I have never owned a jacket much less a hoody with elastic cuffs as comfortable, supple and well tailored as much as the Atom LT's. The hood is also a work of art, perfectly fitting. Nothing more to be said but AWESOME. Once again, Arc'Teryx has won me over.

I have owned this jacket for only two weeks and already I've gone backpacking (40 degree temps at night) in it, boating (in rain, HAIL and wind), hiking and worn it around town. It is perfect for so many different situations! It was pricey for me, but I haven't regretted it at all. It's so incredibly light and soft, yet it blocks wind, rain and hail. Seriously, water just rolls off it! I'm already planning on early and late season skiing in it- and I can't wait.

Probably the jacket I wear more than any other. Versatility in a very compact, warm item. This piece has a remarkable ability of maintaining my temperature at just the perfect level. In winter, with temperatures as low as 0C, and in particular if I am involved in an active pursuit, I am always warm, yet the jacket breathes well enough for me to feel comfortable all day. The fit is absolute perfection. Freedom of movement, as is the case with every Arc'teryx jackete I own, is absolute. The little features that make so much of a difference, from the wonderful, free-flowing zipper, the one-handed hem adjusters, the drop-back hem to give that little extra protection. The incredible cuff design...never too tight, never too loose. The lack of a toggle or adjusters for the hood is clearly a bone of contention for some on this site, and other users I have met. Whilst I can understand that position, in the real world use, I can't see how a hood adjuster would ever be needed. It would simply add unnecessary weight. In inclement conditions, the hood would be of little use to any prolonged period. It does have it's advantages, however. First of all, if the rain starts coming down, it gives a enough protection for you to have the time to throw on a hard shell. Also, when the weather is particularly adverse, and this piece is used as an insulating layer, the hood fits really well under the hood of my Alpha SV hard shell, giving that extra layer of warmth for the head. This is exactly how I have used this piece, and in the practical use, I have never lamented the lack of an adjuster. For me,, this piece with its wonderful fit, movement, stretch, Great breathability-aided in no small part to the feeds panels located on the side-this is close to perfect, and I would not be without it.

incredibly lightweight, thermally efficient, perfect fit, great price. this jacket has been my fall/winter/spring jacket on milder days and under a shell when it's really blasting outside. this jacket will keep you comfortable. not cold, not hot; comfortable. versatility is endless. i constantly get compliments and questions. 2 drawbacks: the main zipper, when zipped all the way up, randomly comes unzipped. i find myself pulling it back up every now and then. not a big deal. and i find the fleece on the sides to be useless in the wind. without a shell, i feel the wind just pour through the fleece side panels. also, not a big deal since this is meant to be a layering piece anyway. thanks again arcteryx for making ANOTHER quality piece that i cannot wait to put on again.

I used this jacket to hike the Inka Trail, since I didn't have too much space in my backpack I just bought it because of the light weight, it worked great ! very warm, almost weightless, takes no space and it looks great, tight to the body and very warm, I used it with a fleece and a t-shirt under. Love this jacket ! ! ! I even used it to sleep one cold night. My only con will be that the hood can't be tight up but it wasn't a big deal.

After much um-ing and ah-ing and loads of questions I finally bought an Atom LT to take on a climbing trip to New Zealand and I must say I'm totally happy with my decision. First test for the jacket was on the Single Cone/Double Cone traverse, an alpine rock route above Queenstown. The sun was hot but the air at 2000m was cool and up on the ridgeline the wind was really fierce. The Atom performed really well, keeping me warm but not too warm when we stopped in shady sections, and performing surprisingly well as a wind-breaker despite the fleece panels. However it was ice climbing on the Fox and Franz Josef glaciers where the Atom really excelled. It kept me warm while belaying or waiting, sometimes under a shell and sometimes on its own over a Phase AR top depending on the sun. While climbing it offered warmth and wind protection while not ever getting too hot and never being restrictive even when reaching high for the next placement on overhanging ice. It's not the warmest jacket around, but then it's not meant to be. Any more insulation and it would have been too warm; any less and it would have been not warm enough. And the fleece panels rreally work to vent heat and moisture when you're working hard. The shell fabric is just perfect: light and plenty wind-resistant and surprisingly tough - I haven't put a dent in it yet. It's not a terribly water resistant fabric (and my DWR seems to have worn out already after only a few months - not sure if that's normal) but it doesn't really matter since the Coreloft insulation dries out so quickly. I recently got it soaked through while playing Ultimate in the rain and it dried out within half an hour - just in time for the next game. For reference I am 6'4, 85 kg and the large fits me quite well - long enough in the arms and body but not too roomy around the torso. It's a slimmer fit than most of the Arc'teryx soft shells I've tried.

The atom LT what can i say...awesome jacket! Its funny how tiny this jacket packs up and how light it is yet still very effective as an insulation layer.Yet on the move is highly breathable thanks to the Polartec stretch panels. I use this jacket all the time whether it be on the skin track or the resort, running in cool temperatures and mountain biking [although i wouldn't want to crash with this on as the outer material is quite thin]. I'm 5ft 11 175lbs and the large fits me perfect. On really cold days i use the Atom LT [60g coreloft] and the Atom SV [100g Coreloft]. as my insulation. I can wear both Atoms under my Theta SV and be really warm even in the the worst conditions. I highly recommend buying both the LT and SV in the Atom series of jackets as it provide a complete quiver of insulated jackets for all sorts of different conditions. As usual, Arcteryx delivers with another exceptional product!

I got this jacket from a local outdoor store, and it's my favorite. I live in Northern California where it's usuallt in the 40s-50s, and frostbitten in the morning. I wear this jacket in the early mornings, at night, in light rain and it's perfect. I'm toasty and warm and windproof in conditions where I would usually have to layer up. I have it in Magenta and the color goes with a lot of what I own. And it's so light!! I stuff it into my purse and it barely weighs anything. One of the best, if not the best apparel purchases I've ever made.

Purchased this out in San Diego while attending a skydiving school knowing that it was the winter and that I would need something else to add to my layering system. It was the last one left, as usual with most arc'teryx products, and for good reason. I made 22 skydives with this on and never felt too hot and was never cold. It held up to 130 mph winds as I free fell and kept on coming. Then on my off time I climbed two peaks in southern arizona. The desert scrub, briar, and cactus plants never mananged to tear the jacket. I was simply amazed with the product that this company has put out.

Everyone who ask me what the name of this jacket is I tell them it is my sleeping bag jacket. This jacket i great for cool days where you just want to be comfortable. There has been day were I wore this jacket for over 12hrs and never took it off, you can wear it in the car, restaurant, or mall and never get hot and once you step outside you will stay comfortable. Many people who ask me what jacket is my favorite out of all of them I tell them my Atom LT. Makes for a great standalone piece or layer under a shell. You will not be disappointed with this one.

My boyfriend bought me this jacket for Christmas. It is amazing! I wear it in the house when I'm a little chilly and I do not get overheated. I can walk outside where it is 20 F and it keeps me warm and cozy even without layers. The jacket is not bulky and fits like a glove but has enough room to move comfortably. I forget that I have it on. I'm amazed that this lightweight thin jacket keeps me so warm and dry. I can't wait to wear it snow skiing. It will be so easy to pack. I love it.

This is possibly my favourite piece of outdoor gear. Fits under all my shells - I wear this almost every day and have no use for my fleeces anymore. Great for skiing, winter activities and everyday wear under a shell in the winter. I haven't used it on it's own yet. I bought in a snug fit to layer well. I love this jacket.

This excellent piece is my new go to for mid-layering under my Alpha FL. The Atom LT has breathable fabric flanking the torso providing great breathability; a must when staying active all day. The warmth of this jacket is unreal. I've gone for many jogs with just the Atom LT on with a long-sleeve underneath while temps are just below 32F. This piece with a GoreTex shell is my idea of the perfect system for any winter conditions in Wisconsin. I use this setup for about everything I do.

This jacket is amazing. I actually own two different colors just because I like the styling and color layout that much. One request though: Arc'Teryx, next year can you make the Squid Ink Atom LT Hoody have the entire interior liner be the same safety yellow as the accents? OR make one in a khaki/olive color with an electric blue interior, like the Hyllus Hoody. Do that and I'll own three.

This piece of clothing fits like a glove, I love the fit. For me however, it is not sufficient for cold weather as a stand alone piece below 0 degrees C. I would recommend as a mid- layer for colder temps, and a stand alone piece for 0 degrees C and warmer. Otherwise a beautifully crafted piece of clothing. I would like to try this with the Alpha LT or the Alpha ST pullover someday for a mild skiing day.

I love this jacket. Since I bought it last week, I've hardly taken it off. It's great to lounge around in, but of course I had to subject it to some harsh testing in the Adirondack High Peaks for my first winter hike of the year. We happen to have picked a zero degree day (high under 10 degrees, low -1F) for a 9 1/2 hour hike up Algonquin, Iroquois and Wright. Even though it was FREEZING, using this as my top layer kept me warm in the extreme cold (keep in mind we were MOVING all day). I wore a wool baselayer, lighter jacket over it and the Atom Hoody over that layer. This jacket ROCKS - what do I love? I love the sleeves - instead of velcro, they have this power stretch stuff that just tapers perfectly - nothing to fiddle with or adjust. I've never raved about a zipper before, but this zipper is SMOOTH -even with heavy mittens, I could zip and unzip the jacket. The hood has no adjustments but it's PERFECT - when it got a bit windy, I just put the hood on and it broke the wind, provided extra warmth and even covered my mouth enough to keep out the cold air without having to use a facemask. Even though I'm a 5'5" female, I bought the men's medium (it has an athletic fit, so size up a bit) as it fit perfectly when I tried it on and I liked the color. This jacket is SIMPLE but effective - no bells and whistles, but even with this light layer of Coreloft, when used as a layering piece, it kept me warm in zero degree weather all day. In this picture, I'm standing on top of Algonquin, the 2nd highest peak in the Adirondacks on December 24th and I'm not freezing cold. Finally, I love the venting material under the arms - instead of pit zips, this material ventilates very well. For once, I didn't overheat as this jacket ventilates well. I'm in love with this jacket and since it's SO light and SO packable, it's the kind of jacket you just want to throw into your pack in winter OR in summer for quick warmth.

When I bought this jacket, I would have never imagined how much I would love this piece. Recently, a friend referred to it as the best jacket in the world and I agree. It is THE most versatile jacket ever: stylish, always warm, never too hot, the shape of the hoody is PERFECT, I wear it on high mountains, downtown, wherever...Bulk free, superlight, optimal warmth-to-weight ratio, if you want to buy one peace from Arc'teryx, get the Atom LT. It is easy to wash and dry, too. I'm observing some pilling on the side panels, but just very very slightly. I've had this jacket for a bit under a year and worn it year round! I take in on every hike, no matter how hot or cold the weather is. Considering buying a second one in another color.

I have a serious complaint about this jacket. Let me explain (briefly): I bought this jacket as part of my outdoor layering system, expecting to use it with a baselayer and a shell out on the trail / crag when the going got cold. However - and this is a real problem - since I bought it I have pretty much worn it every day. I wear it to work, I wear it under my motorcycle jacket, I wear it out in the evening and I wear it to walk to the shops. The problem: this jacket is super light, super warm, super comfortable and an annoyingly good cut/fit with really urban styling. The hood is uber comfortable. The fit is fantastic. The fabrics feel amazing. It weighs far less than any of my other daily wear jackets, and is more comfortable and better looking than them too. Don't buy this jacket if you intend on leaving home without it.

Super impressed in all respects. Light enough I barely notice it in my pack. Yet it seems to provide more warmth than I'd expect for being so thin. Amazingly water resistant as well. Wore it in a heavy rain in Moab and didn't even come close to soaking thru. The hood fits well and I use it often because of that. Excellent warmth to weight/volume.

The hoody is perfect for these cold winter days. It also works well even when it rains. The moisture repellent coating works well, and water beads on it just like a waterproof shell.

This hoody is so well-designed that I can actually be bothered to write a review! It's essentially windproof, super lightweight, comfortable, breathable, stretchy in all the right places, warm and packs down into a tiny package. I LOVE this piece. It's one of the best clothing items I have ever bought. It works as a jacket on cool fall/spring days, and as an insulating layer when it gets colder. I'm getting one for my little bro.

So hab die Jacke ja bereits fr mich bewertet. Nun auch fr die Frau gekauft. Also natrlich wie immer sehr gut verarbeitet. Fr mich eines der "Must Have" Arc'teryx Produkte.

This jacket is awesome! It's extremely light, comfortable, versatile, and looks great too! I use this jacket almost year round. It's a great jacket in the fall and a great midlayer in the winter. I also use this jacket for running in the fall/spring and I sometimes even sleep with this jacket on when it gets really cold, it's that comfortable! I like this jacket so much that I will be buying the SV model and another LT in another colour in the near future. This jacket is worth every penny and more!
