This is my single favorite jacket in my Arc'teryx arsenal. I use it for quite literally everything. I live in Washington State where the weather is rather moody, and this is the jacket I'll typically end up using regardless of rain or shine (or snow recently). The DWR sheds snow really well and I use it for snowshoeing because of how breathable it is while maintaining a good level of warmth. I take it with me on nearly every hike I go on because it is so versatile. It has protected me against heavy winds on several occasions, even with the fleece side vents, which I thought would be a problem but it hasn't been yet. It is great for summer nights, throughout spring and fall, and much of winter. It's a little bit light for the colder parts of winter in the Pacific Northwest but combining it with a fleece or shell solves that problem pretty effectively. If I could justify getting another one I would but mine is still in great condition after over a year of abuse. My only complaint is that stains are very difficult to get out of the face fabric, but that comes with the territory of puffies. Overall it earns a gold star from me.

At the time of purchasing this jacket, I was in college with little extra money to spend, especially a jacket in this price range. Before going on a backpacking adventure, I stopped by an outdoor store and an associate talked to me forever about how great of a jacket this was and how it was the only one I would ever need....i took the chance, bought the jacket and haven't bought or worn another one since & that was 2 years ago! Best jacket for ever single occasion from a run to backpacking. BUY THIS JACKET

This jacket has been an excellent insulator for me over the last three years, and it's still going strong. The fill has slightly thinned out in spots, but I have really given it a beating. It's quick-drying and probably the most versatile insulator for New England weather - been a four season piece for me. Not quite water proof, but quite resistant. I really hope Arcteryx never stops making this jacket, I'm a lifer. It's quite form fitting, so I went with a large (where I'm typically between M and L), and it's a perfect fit. Great for layering as well.

I've had this jacket for 2 years and have now bought one as a present for my boyfriend too. It's just perfect - small, never bulky to carry around, and fits like a dream. With the smooth sides it doesn't make you feel 'puffy' like other insulated jackets. Wonderfuly smooth, quiet material and it still looks like new after some quite heavy use. And even better... it just always keeps me at the right temperature! I was nervous when buying it as it's the most expensive piece of outdoor clothing I have bought, but now I will never have a different jacket, it has paid for itself 10 times over in quality. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

I've had my Atom LT for about a year now. This jacket is amazing. It balances the cold with your body heat very well if you even exerting yourself moderately. The fleece side panels dump heat very well. The face fabric cuts wind exceptionally well and resists light rain and moisture. It's not the warmest when compared to a down, but it's not supposed to be. Fantastic climbing and approach jacket on chilly days. It looks nice enough to wear casually around town, too. I'm 155 pounds and 5'10" and wear this in a medium.

Straight after opening the box you can feel the quality, fits very well, was a bit worried because those measurements were all over the place but I'm around 6'4 (193cm) and size XL is perfect wouldn't go for L as the sleeve could be too small. Can be folded into the hood but as I said in cons I would welcome a small compress bag as there is with the NUCLEI jacket. This is definitely going to be my go-to jacket all year around. Highly recommended guys....pricey but definitely worth it!

I am really really enjoying this jacket thus far. I purchased it to replace my Alma Dablam that was too warm for WNC and my taste. This xl fits excellently for a 6' 4" 230 more athletic built dude still with room to layer underneath. My only gripe, if I could have one, is that the front zipper moves too easily. With almost no pressure it comes unzipped. I wish it was stiffer. Could just be my specific jacket though. Adversely, the chest pocket zipper is way too stiff. I'm afraid I'll rip the jacket if I pull with one hand and have to use two hands to open and close it. It's really really stiff. Maybe with time it'll loosen up. Other than that, you should buy this jacket and will love it for any outdoor thing you do.

I've had this hoody for several years. By itself the larger hood will let in wind or blow off but with another hoody underneath or a hat the hood is very comfortable. Usable for climbing and camping and activity. Even for biking the side panels act as a vent. Unexpectedly comfortable to bike with(without a backpack). Too plastic and noisy for lounging in. Layering potential gives the jacket a role in almost any situation. Underneath a denim jacket or gortex. Over a long sleeve and a hoody. Over a down vest. Belay hoody and late night smoke jacket. A reliable friend! Recommend this jacket although it isn't perfect. If you've lived with something for this long and have never thought twice about bringing it along it must be love.

The Atom LT Hoody was the first Arcteryx jacket I ever bought, and it definitely didn't disappoint. I have put my jacket through the wringer from backpacking trips to month long sea kayaking expeditions. I couldn't have asked for a more durable and versatile warm layer. It will keep me warm in cold temperatures but breathes incredibly well because of the side panels. I love that its lightweight and takes up hardly any room in my pack. Its also been a great jacket for just running around at home.

This is probably my favorite piece of Arcteryx gear I own. I bought an older one before they revised the hood and after it was delivered, I went and ordered another one. It's that good! This is very warm when you layer up and will keep you warm down to about 40 with light activity. Will be buying another one when the two I own wear out.

My first Arctery'x purchase was this Hoody a couple years ago. Ever since I haven't seen a couple of days go by without wearing one. Prior to owning one I wore my Patagonia down sweater constantly. That sweater has been in the closet for about two years now seeing virtually no use (The ultralight down hoody suffices, though. Ill give them that.). Pata has a comparable article called the Nano Puff Hoody, and its really nowhere close as comfy to the Atom. I like this hoody so much that I searched for different colors, and came across Arctery'x LEAF line. They have a coyote color which is tan, and its awesome.

In my opinion this is one of the most versatile pieces that any outdoor brand makes. Period. The uses for this jacket far exceed my expectations, and I would recommend this jacket to anyone. The coreloft breathes much better than any other synthetics that I have used before, and this piece is great as a stand alone piece or mid layer. You cannot go wrong with this jacket. Big ups!

I debated a long time on whether or not to get one of these jackets and I keep asking myself why I waited. This jacket lives up to the hype. I am 6' 3" 235 lbs and bought the XL. It fits great. Sleeves are long enough, chest is big enough and length is great. I love the softness of the jacket and how it fits under anything I throw over it (Beta LT Shell, Gamma MX jacket or Psiphon Hoody) and doesn't bunch up or make things uncomfortable. It works well in a variety of temperatures like my Gamma MX and does a decent job of shedding a little rain and wind. I can't wait for winter to get here so I can try it out while skiing in the backcountry. This piece will go with me anytime I leave the truck.

I've owned many jackets, but this one is by far the best jacket I've ever had. It has never failed me, in fact, it has proven itself over and over above and beyond many other jackets. I can wear it during the spring and fall months as it is light weight, but also in the winter as the insulation is just right to keep you warm and cozy. It is truly unbelievable how arcteryx has designed a jacket so versatile, that can be used for any activity, outing, weather, etc.. I have had many times were I have just been amazed and grateful at what this jacket can do, and vowed to write a review, as this I feel like this is the least I can do after having something that has consistently kept me warm for the past 3 years. With that said, after all this time, it still looks brand new, it's still water-resistant, and the look of the jacket is timeless and never outdated (I own it in black). I am proud when I wear it, and can't thank arcteryx enough for providing such a quality product. To end this review I'd like to add a personal story of how this jacket has saved me; I was skiing in the Austrian Alps with -10 degree Celcius temps, horrible winds. I was wearing a skiing jacket that was supposed to protect me from the elements, but fell short. I was miserable, cold, wet, and ready to give up. I went down to my car and got my arcteryx jacket out and made a conscious decision to give it another shot. The jacket was a night and day difference, I stayed warm, dry, and cozy the whole day. And that is when I vowed to give this jacket the review it has earned. Thank you Arc'teryx.

The perfect jacket. Light weight, but durable. Warm enough to wear in the Virginia winter. It keeps you warm, but not overheated. I even wear mine on cooler spring days. It's the most comfortable jacket that I've ever had and it looks and fits great. I would recommend to anyone.

I am very pleased with the Atom Hoody. Just took it backpacking on cool, windy conditions and it stuffed into my pack easily and kept me warm in the cold. It's very effective down to the mid-30's unless it's very windy. Wearing it under a shell combines to make the pair effective in much colder conditions. The Atom Hoody is well-made, durable and the fit for me is excellent. It's very comfortable and adaptable for a wide range of cooler weather conditions. It's also great for wearing around town in the winter.
