Can't recommend this jacket highly enough. It's a perfect mid-layer for skiing, breathable enough to wear all day on a spring backpacking trip in the desert, and comfortable enough to throw on to walk my dog or run errands. I wish I purchased two- I will most likely weep like a toddler who knocked her mac and cheese onto the ground when this thing gives out. BUT I've had this jacket for just a few months shy of 3 years now and it shows very few signs of wear: things are looking up! It's an expensive jacket but if it keeps holding up like it has been, more than worth the investment. More bonus features: it packs up really small AND is flattering; this jacket is the happiest medium between a boxy men's fit and an overly "curvy" and tight women's fit (this is a subjective evaluation of course-- everyone's body is different!). I love this jacket. 11/10.

I should preface this by saying I'm far to normal to truly justify using Arcteryx products. I don't climb and I don't do nearly enough outside, but I do use this as an EDC for travel across the US and general family life in Nashville, TN and I couldn't be happier. Winter weather sits in the 40's most days and dips into the 20's a couple days a week, and the Atom LT is enough to feel pleasantly warm with a normal undershirt/button up shirt combo underneath. The jacket's bulk is nearly non-existent on my frame wearing a medium at 5'7" 170lb. It's a very nice combination of breathable, yet warm enough that I've used it on many airplane flights (those cabin temps vary quiet a bit) and have snoozed away without a second thought or hint of sweat. Getting on the plane in 20 degree weather and exiting in 60 degree weather is nicely in the comfortable range of this jacket. It's easily compressible allowing me to throw it into a backpack for daytrips without a second thought, and rain protection (while not a primary feature) has never let me down when quickly traversing a parking lot or pubic transit stop without cover. My only specific critique is aimed at the sleeve cuffs, which are made of an elastic type material that stretches. It makes a great seal, however it catches on my watch frequently, to the point where I'm concerned that will be the first point of failure. Ultimately this is an incredibly minor nitpick-level detail and should not dissuade you from a purchase. This is the best mid layer/light outer layer jacket I've ever owned.

This thing is light as a feather yet warm as an outer layer over the Atom LT vest , a flannel shirt, or even a tech base layer; can be folded to nearly nothing. I have used it with my Beta AR shell in foul weather in temps in the 30's and low exertion activities with good results. My favorite characteristic is the warmth-to-weight ratio.

Bought this a couple weeks ago to replace the aging fleece I was using to stretch my Arc'teryx shell through freezing rain season. Found I was still reaching for it even during > -10C days when I would usually have shifted to my winter coat, it's so comfy and warm. Fits great. The colour (Black Sapphire II) has a hint of purple to it that I didn't expect, but I love purple so it's a good thing.

I bought my atom jacket two years ago. I wear it every day from fall to spring as a base layer. As a general contractor it sees a lot of mechanical abrasion. To this day, there is no sign of wear or tear. Two nights ago i was charged by a full sized German Shepard and it grabbed onto my sleeve and ripped and pulled side to side. I got home and inspected my jacket and there was not even a single perforation or even a wear mark. I will always own one of these jackets. Breathes well, fits well and surprisingly sheds water to a comfortable degreee. Very impressed.

Atom LT is the most versatile jacket I own. It is surprisingly warm considering how lightweight it is. I've worn this jacket from +15C to -15C, rain or shine, and stayed comfortable the whole time. I wouldn't wear this as a stand-alone in anything below -15C, but layered underneath a shell jacket, it's perfect. At 6'5" and slim it's hard to find jackets that are long enough but not baggy, but the atom lt fits perfect in size xl. Some features I love are the fleecy hand pockets, non locking zipper, sleeve cuffs, and reflective logo. For the price, the atom lt has great value, and I would recommend it to a friend.

This is one of the best pieces of outdoor clothing ever made. It's just so darn versatile. I wear it alone with a t-shirt just to take off the chill, in windy warmer weather to block the wind, in light rain no problem, over a cerium lt in super chilly cold, and under a gore-tex shell while skiing or in a snowstorm. I'm 5'10" 160 and the medium feels like I had it custom made. Don't ever try to take away my Atom.

This comes very handy when you need something which is minimal and requires least space in your bag when you pack and bring it everywhere yet providing you the superior warmth

I wear my atom lt hoody for just about every activity. when it's cold. Especially backpack hunting. Its lightweight, warm, and well designed (best hood design I've encountered).

This is my second atom LT hoody to replace another which has done sterling service over several years. I'm 5'8" 152Lbs and 40" chest and the medium fits perfectly. Originally, I'd wanted the atom LT jacket version as a midlayer but in the medium size it was too tight for me in the body with only a base layer underneath. With the hoody I can even get a Kyanite jacket on under as well. Over time, I've come to appreciate the versatility of the hoody and the cinch cord, which make for extra warmth and I gladly trade a little more effort layering a shell over the hood version for that extra warmth. Especially as I also wear it a lot as an outside layer. For something so light, it punches well above it's weight. It can be worn throughout a wide temperature range and folds up relatively small into a backpack, but is a bundle of warmth when needed. My only minus with my old jacket was the rear hem sometimes turned up unless there was some tension on the cinch cord, hopefully it will not on the new one. Not much visible design difference between the two, the side panels have a smoother face fabric, and the main zip has notches to prevent it sliding down although I never had this problem. If my new LT, in caribou and an amazing colour, performs as good, I will be in cosy heaven.

I have no complaints about this jacket. I just bought it a few weeks ago and have worn it nearly every day since. It keeps me warm but also doesn't make me hot which is great.

I have owned several jackets of similar types by other brands (I am allergic to feathers so have a limited choice when it comes to non-down filled insulated jackets) but this is without doubt the best performing one by far! I will definitely be purchasing at least one other just due the fact that they are too versatile to be reserved for weekends only!

Se porte trs bien seul quand les journes sont plus fraiches, il fait une couche intermdiaire parfaite, sous une Beta AR dans mon cas. le matriel plus lastique sur les 2 flancs vient procurer un bon ajustement la veste.

After much consideration of which jacket to purchase I went with the Atom LT hoody in Hard Coral. When it first arrived in the mail I thought it was awfully thin looking but was in love with the color I chose. I have worn it a handful of times already in different conditions, as a mid layer and outter layer, and it does not disappoint! I've worn it hiking to mountain summits in snowy cold conditions, high winds and sunny days. I've also worn it on urban trails around my neighbourhood to walk the dog. This jacket is so versatile depending on what you wear it with (or without). It's very warm when layered right. Even when I get a bit too warm it's still much more breathable than my other jackets. In the warmer months I will be able to pack it away until it's needed as a stand alone piece for the chilly summits. I love the tighter sleeves of this jacket but do wish it was a little bit longer in the torso (I typically do not have that problem with clothes). Very happy with my purchase.

I got this jacket as a birthday present and I must say it is the best lightweight jacket I've ever worn. When I received it and took it out of the box I was a bit doubtful that it would be warm enough. It is so light! After wearing it for an early morning photography excursion any doubts were put to rest though. The AtomLT is a very warm jacket that you barely notice. Indeed I wore it all day in my classroom during a recent training day because I forgot I was still wearing it! I really like the fleece-lined pockets and the one-point hood adjustment makes it easy to button up tightly against the wind. I've worn the AtomLT under my ZetaAR jacket and this makes a formidable combination during cold evenings photographing the sunset and night sky. In a particularly cold day recently I put my Kyanite fleece underneath this combination for extra warmth and was extremely well sealed up against the elements. The only slight annoyance with the AtomLT is the way the collar and hood tends to sit when the jacket is not fully zipped up. I find the collar and top of the zipper has an annoying tendency to be exactly where my neck or chin wants to be. Maybe this is just related to how I like the zip placed when the weather is reasonably warm. A small drawback with an overall winner!

This is something that everybody should have at least one. I wear this year around when skiing under my shell, or hiking, biking in cold weather, camping etc. It is so comfortable and it becomes a part of yourself.

Great jacket. Works in light rain, too. My only complaint, and it's a minor one, is that the pockets are narrow. My smartphone fell out of an unzipped pocket and I nearly lost it!
