Use this jacket for touring and hiking. Best layer I have ever owned. Works in all seasons in Colorado. Love it.

I have had this jacket for >4 years now probably and it is still one of my favorite items of clothing. It is a perfect jacket for cold days in spring/fall if layered and alone for "warmer days". The quality is amazing and outside a few small snags it is basically good as new.

My 2nd Atom LT. I wear this jacket all year from over a T shirt when the sun goes down in the summer to my main jacket for walking in Spring and Autumn then as a mid layer in the winter. Its so light but yet toasty warm especially if you use the hood - it seals all the warmth in. Windproof and in light rain waterproof - DWR makes rain bead up and roll off.
Bought another jacket in a smaller size to be primarily be a mid layer snugger fit this winter. Went for 24K Black which looks great with the gold lining. Expensive but definately worth it

Dracaena must be the Canadian word for olive green. Although it looked brownish in the photos this is a green jacket. But a great jacket. Surprised by how lightweight it is and yet still warm. The feel of the outer fabric is also freakishly soft, like fancy underwear. But still windproof. I'm used to Patagonia products and the somewhat stiffer outer fabrics of their fleeces and jackets. Not here, this jacket just flows. Another surprise was the collar, zip it up high and its like a warm little turtleneck. Ideal for temps in the 30s and 40s. I've been out at night in the 20s with a hat, gloves, and flannel shirt and been okay, not toasty. I live in NJ and this jacket will suffice for probably the entire winter. I do have my eye on the regular atom for Adirondack snowshoeing or the few NJ winter days in the low 20s or teens.

This is the second Atom LT I've owned and the third in the Atom line up...I also have a an Atom SL. This redesigned LT is outstanding.....I'm 5 10 and weight 165 and wear a large...this redesign fits tighter to the body, hood is smaller and fits better over my helmet or a toque and looks and feels great on

The temperature regulation seems almost magical to me. It keeps me warm when I'm moving at 20 degrees, and comfy when I'm walking around town at 50. With a thin base layer or two underneath, I can go for hours below freezing. I will say that while the soft shell is enough for a stiff breeze or a heavy mist, you would definitely want something more protective for sustained winds or steady rain. But otherwise, I find myself wearing this jacket in a far greater range of conditions than I expected. I'm really glad I got it.

I had the older version (all black, reflective logo, 2017-ish), but recently took advantage of our local store's trade-in program to upgrade to the 2020 Black w/ Gold trim & embroidered logo. I love these jackets. The black one elevated my Japan & Taiwan trip during February & March weather. Cold, snowy mountain towns (good on it's own or with a sweater underneath), walking the cities on streets & indoors, with and without backpacks - it was warm on the cold days, kept me completely dry (for hours!) while walking in the rain. I usually get hot, but it was perfectly breathable on sunny warmer days thanks to the under-arm fabric, and maybe an unzip to stay comfortable. If black & gold performs as well, it tops my list to get me through a variety of situations, and the unexpected.

I have been using this as my main layering piece this winter. It is perfect for splitboarding and on hill resort riding. It is breathable but keeps me warm when needed.

This is my first Arc'teryx jacket and won't be my last. I bought this to wear in the colder months for my hikes through the backwoods on Cape Cod. It gets cold (20-30F deg) near the ocean and the winds whip right through you. Not with this jacket. I literally wear a long-sleeve t-shirt and this jacket and I am fine. It's a flattering fit, super-lightweight and soft. I'm amazed at how well it keeps me warm with just a thin layer underneath. I use the hood instead of a hat and it's perfect. My head actually gets hot sometimes. I've washed it several times on gentle cycle/cold water and it's still perfect. Love this jacket.

I already had two Atom Lt from previous season and I was in love...Then came along the new revised version and I'm in heaven ! Best jacket ever, using it for my winter hike at very cold temperature and it is perfect. Great insulation with the feeling of wearing close to nothing, super light and stretchy enough. I am 5'10'' with broad shoulders and small waist. Always a challenge to find a long enough jacket without being bulky. The new revised version is longer, the sleeves are a perfect fit and as previous versions sooooo comfortable. Thank you Arc'teryx, you made my day - well, my year !

This is my favorite lightweight jacket. Perfect for every season and activity. The stretch side panels dump heat during activities and the fit is flattering. Perfect to layer under a shell and if the weather warms up, opening pit zips expels perspiration. I have this in multiple colors. I'm 165 lbs, 5'8" and the large fits perfect. The arm length is also a plus. Everyone needs to add this to their rotation. Multiple washings and the color looks as it did new.

I bought this a few years back and had always wanted one. I bought it and my friend i was with brought up the price and how expensive it was. I didn't really care, i have been around to know that price is what you pay for good kit. I loved it as soon as i wore it. it was the best jacket I ever owned and ive worn it in all sorts of conditions are activities. Ive worn this jacket on hikes, Rock climbing, worm it rock climbing up a waterfall. I wear it around town and it is alwasy my number 1 choice jacket to go to. For its weight and size it is exceptionally warm. Ive worn it in -25 Celsius Canadian winter with maybe a little sweater under it and never had a problem.
Onoy issue i have with the jacekt is that i got alittle knick on the outside and some fabric came out, not alot in anyway, maybe just a thread came out. some small nothing to worry about but makes me be catious on what im using the jacket for and having a layer above it if worried about tears during my activities.
My friend a few months later cracked and bought the same jacket and he swears by the jacket now. he is also in love with his Atom Lt Hoody.
Would highly recommend and by again. Honestly not long after buying it i considered buying a second one, Not going to lie, I LOVE this jacekt.

Brought this a while back, and it was definitely the right purchase. At first I was a bit hesitant due to the lightness of it, but after wearing this, it's great! In the Canadian winter's when paired with a base layer, the hoody, and outer shell I was comfortable in -20 weather. If you're hesitant, trust me, go ahead and purchase it, you won't regret it

This jacket is a workhorse. I tend to wear it under a shell of some type during the winter. Actually have two Atom LT (with/without Hoody). I prefer the Hoody version, as its the most versatile. There are SO many situations where you want to protect your head from the elements and just pulling on the hoody usually solves the problem immediately. This jacket works as well as a solo jacket for active sports (hiking, XC skiing, etc). And it packs fairly well. I seriously don't have a single complaint about it ... other than that I might prefer to have a bit more insulation on some occassions ... which isn't really the jackets fault, just need to order another one in the Arc-teryx lineup that is thicker.
Simply the best, buy it and love it!

After wearing a red Atom LT Hoody for every conceivable sport/adventure/trip that I've had the last several years, I just bought my second Atom LT Hoody in black! It has the most amazing and versatile warmth factor - not too much, not too little, and seems to automatically adjust to whatever the conditions are. I wear this jacket with a t-shirt in the fall and spring, layer it a tech 1/4 zip when the temps are 30-60 degrees, and I add a wool base layer, tech, and shell (my shell choice is the Arc'teryx Gamma LT Hoody) with it for anything below 25 degrees. I have taken this set up on multiple hut trips and international ski travel with every kind of weather condition and it has never let me down.
The hood is my favorite feature, it fits comfortably and stays on even in windy conditions and it fits over a ski helmet with no adjustments needed. The hood also doubles as a stuff sack for the jacket which compresses down to nothing when you throw it in a pack. The stretch side panels are genius and allow you to layer as needed and can accommodate zipping over an avalanche beacon with no problem.
I also find myself wearing the Atom LT around the house on chilly days. On long haul flights, I'll zip up, pull on the hood, and sleep like a baby wrapped up in its cozy warmth.
Hands down the best jacket I've ever owned!

I bought this about a month and a half ago and it's my go-to jacket. I wear it everyday and it's the softest, most lightweight hoody jacket! I layer it with a base layer, a thin fleece layer and a shell and I'm ready to go ski touring, resort riding etc.

I bought the Atom AR several years ago, and it quickly became the best jacket I owned, look, fit, and adaptability in different situations. The LT has all those same great qualities, just lighter insulation and better option as a mid layer or outer layer in cool conditions. Also, customer service (Geri) was amazing as I went through different sizes and styles.

I've been wearing this jacket on 6+ hikes now - love it!
Not too hot, not too cold, just right. The hood is adjustable so I can get just enough airflow at the base and snug it up at the top when things get colder. The DWR finish is sufficient for a quick shower but I bring a shell on rainy days.
The pockets can catch the fabric occasionally. Otherwise perfect.

I have owned this jacket for about three months now and absolutely love it. The DWR coating holds up well when in a drizzle (had to stand outside for 30 minutes because of a fire alarm in our building). Adding Coreloft Compact to the jacket for insulation seems like a genius idea because it will prolong the life of the jacket's warmth. The fit also feels a little bit looser than the Proton and I feel this jacket is one of the most versatile in the lineup. It still layers well with a shell over it and provides awesome warmth. I personally can wear it in the 30's in the Pacific Northwest and with just a T-shirt, I'm perfectly comfortable. I do run warm though so others might not find it as warm.
I do find the cuffs to be a little tight. This is both a good and bad thing because it keeps the heat in but makes it difficult to check my watch for time. Besides this I can't find anything to complain about!
