This is the best do it all puffy you could ask for. It's warm when you need it to be but breathes well when you're active and moving. Looks just as good on a mountain as it does around the city. Nothing this jacket can't do

Great jacket, I've used it from AZ to AK and it's never let me down. It super light weight and the material is thin so it needs to be treated with care, but it's warm for its weight and is a great summer layer in cold places or winter layer in warm places

I've owned 3 of these jackets over the years and have loved every single one. Never have they left me wanting for the perfect active layering piece. It just works.

I have the 24K black from the previous season. This jacket does its job when it is cold (50s F) or if it is colder, you have enough flexibility to layer. It is also very light, so it is easy to pack for travel. Pockets are large enough for storage. This should be your first Arc'teryx product.

Near perfect jacket, the fit is great and provides enough warmth for cool spring and autumn days in the city. This is also a good mid layer for winter activities. I wish the pockets were a bit deeper, had many items fall out accidentally.

I've gotten so much use out of this jacket in such a short period of time. Great for hiking, around town, camping, you name it! Highly recommend this for anyone's first piece.

I've owned several Atom LT hoodies over the years, and I cannot recommend it enough. My wife and I both refer to it simply as the "best jacket ever" whenever we are discussing which pieces of gear to bring on a trip. It's the perfect combination of warmth, weight, breathability, and weather protection. The outer material does a good job of deflecting light precipitation, and the synthetic insulation gives me peace of mind if I do get a little wet before pulling on a shell. It also does well with layers under it. I wear it climbing to stay warm at the belay, skiing on cold days under a shell, and hiking/camping when the temperatures might get a little chilly. In short, because of its wide-ranging functionality and the way it fits me, it is the jacket I grab most frequently year round.

love it, great for everyday wear. Perfect for fall and spring and activities in the dead of winter. My only wish is that they had a regluar fit instead of the slim fit. I have very low body fat but im very muscular, chest, arms and back ate a bit tight.

This is it, the most highly regarded, maybe best selling, multi-activity jacket Arc'teryx makes. Time and again it sits at or near the top of reviews for mid-weight jackets that can handle wide-ranging weather conditions. It can keep you warm when the temperature drops down to about freezing, as long as you're moving. It sheds snow, and some rain. If it does get wet, it dries quickly. It's light weight, comfortable, and layers well. Even though its shell is nylon, it handles sitting under a Gore-Tex shell okay. Even if you're just walking around town, you'll find yourself grabbing this knowing it will serve you well.
The one caveat I would say is that if you're looking for a jacket to use during high output (uphill hiking, technical climbing, XC skiing, snow shoeing etc.) it can be easy to overheat in this. For that, I'd take a look at either the Atom SL (which I own also), or the Proton FL, which has lighter, more breathable nylon shell. If you don't need the wind protection a nylon surface gives, but will be moving a lot, take a look at the Kyanite, made from Powerstretch Pro. Another superb jacket from Arc'teryx.

I lost a much older version of this jacket a few years back, and decided to replace it in 2020. I noticed the sizing overall had gone up, so purchased the smallest replacement they had at that time. I've always been drawn to Arc products because of the petite sizes so was a little bummed out that they were no longer available. I came to have a look at the site a few days ago & discovered you've started making this in XXS & was thrilled, so ordered one! It's absolutely perfect!
Thank you SO much for bringing back smaller sizes! It's so appreciated from the tiny folk perspective! :)
If you guys started to make the Thorium in XXS I definitely wouldn't mind that either! Thanks Arc!
The Atom LT doesn't disappoint. It's super elegant, practical, durable, can be easily stuffed into your pack! Wonderful piece, worth the investment! :)
I'd love to add, if the collar stood up on its own a bit more that would be such a bonus!

This jacket has quickly become my go-to for just about everything. Whether it's in the mountains, desert, post-surfing, or just day to day use, this jacket crushes. I previously owned a similar jacket from a different brand, but I've found this to be superior for a number of reasons.
The durability of the material is top notch. I've worn this climbing in Yosemite and beyond, and have no signs of wear. Similarly, I worn this on a 6 day backpacking trip through J-Tree (very sharp/abrasive rock and plant life) and also got no fraying. I couldn't say the same about the competitors jacket.
The jacket doesn't pull up much when climbing with it under a harness which is greatly appreciated. It provides a surprising amount of warmth so it does get toasty after climbing for a while but I'll wear this really cold temps and temps in the 60's as well.
Overall, I'd strongly recommend this jacket for anyone looking for an all around great piece of gear that will serve you well on various different adventures.

I wear this coat 8 months of the year. It is my favorite jacket, so much so that I just bought a second Atom LT. I did end up getting a few tears in my first jacket in the side panels. I understand that Arc'teryx has a repair or replace policy but I've has trouble submitting my claim as they require so many photos that the form won't submit. Hopefully I will get some help with that.
