I had to retire a pair of Gizehs from 1998 this year, and was quite sad to let them go. These new Gizehs have filled their place quite nicely. Took about a week to wear them in, and they haven't let me down yet. I walk a ton with my dog, and I could wear these for 10 hours a day no complaints. Just got back from 2 weeks in Spain, and wore them for about 8 miles a day, every day. I hope they last as long as the last pair! I wear a 9, always, and the 39 is perfect. I also have very high arches and most shoes make my feet ache after a couple miles, but not these Birks.

Great color and I value the real leather uppers (Unlike birko-flor). They run big though - I am normally a 6.5-7 so I first ordered the 37 (my normal European size) but the 36 fit me much better.

My nine year old loves them! They are hard to break in so it takes patience and time. Once they are, they are the most comfortable sandals. I have three pairs and my daughter is on her second. She loves the pink accents.

I just received my pair of Gizeh this morning and I ordered them less than 24 hours ago! My review is based solely on my first impressions, walking around inside my house. I am obsessed with the way the color, style, and fit. They definitely don't have a squishy insole, but are extremely comfortable. I don't even feel the toe thong piece between my toes. The Nubuck leather is so comfy. The color is amazing!!! I bought mine in Billiard Nubuck. The color is just slightly greener than the famous Tiffany Blue. I am certain the color alone will gain many compliments. I was looking for a more supportive sandal with style for my upcoming vacation to Florida; I think I've found exactly what I was looking for. :)

This is a fun shoe. I've received a lot of compliments on them. Still trying to break them in. I think they will be my favorite summer shoe once I wear them enough to mold to my foot!

Nothing beats a pair of Birkenstock sandals. I have feet that hurt most of the time. And these are very comfortable. Got the purple color and is beautiful. Loving the different colored soles. As a thong I find them very comfortable.

Great shoes! I ordered my true size, and it was too big, I did a quick exchange for one size down and am very happy! I'm surprised how many outfits the orange color goes with. More versatile than I first thought.

I love them and get compliments on them everywhere I go. I have been wearing Birkenstocks for years. It does take time to break them in. They need to take the shape of your feet. I suggest wearing them at home for a few hours for a few days. Once they are broken in you will want to buy 10 pair!

I had a pair of Birks that I loved in college, so last year I bought a pair of these for my daughter and myself. When they came, I found them incredibly and surprisingly uncomfortable, considering how much I remember liking them way back when. They were so uncomfortable that I sent mine back. My daughter wanted to keep hers. My memory is apparently short, though, because I ordered myself another pair this summer. When they came, I remembered last year's misadventure. I considered returning them again, but my daughter really likes hers though, so I decided to give them a shot. After wearing them only once, they seemed to mold to my feet and became a lot more comfy. I will say that the plastic piece between my toes still bothers me after wearing them 5-6 times. But today I realized that they were fitting a little loose, so I tightened the straps two notches, and that actually didn't bother me as much (I think because they were loose I was squeezing my toes and that was what bothered me). I do really like them and I'm glad I kept them.

Cute shoe but not for normal to wide feet. I typically wear normal width shoes but these are on the narrow side and my foot hangs over the edges! Had to return. Thank you Zappos for free return shipping!

I have a pair of these in orange leather that are aging so I thought I would get another pair. The red is fun - but I like the leather better. It is a better quality. But I still like them!

Love these new Birkenstocks. The color was not quite as bright red as I expected, but I like it just the same. The size is true to my old Birkenstock, so no change there. If you haven't worn Birkenstocks, the width tends to be a little wider than most shoes. Easy to "break in."

These are super comfortable and stylish. I cannot believe that I waited so long to try these. I am a Birkenstock convert!

This shoe style looked good, fit well, and was fairly comfortable. Probably will grow even more comfortable with wear. However, my vanity kicked in and I returned these because I felt they made my size 11 N feet look even longer and narrower.

I really wanted to love these shoes! they look great and I love the color. They felt great on my shoe for the first 2 months, I wore them almost every day, but after that my left foot started to hurt. It may not be the shoe, but my foot, so I'm not saying it's the shoes, but I was very disappointed. Maybe if I hadn't worn them day in and day out I would have been okay, but I bought them to wear them every day. I kept them and I'll give them another try next summer and see what happens then. I'm not trying to discourage people from buying them, I'm just saying that for me, they seem to not have worked!

I love Birkenstocks but cannot wear this style with the piece that goes between my toes. It is very stiff and almost painful to wear.

I'm in my second trimester and needed to invest in comfy, supportive sandals instead of cheap rubber flip flops. Unfortunately, these were a big disappointment! They felt very wide and clunky on my foot. They didn't feel soft and comfy either. Plus, the patent "leather" looks cheap. Had to return. I'm much happier with the FitFlops I tried instead.
