I got these last summer (at a retail store, and not from Zappos, but I wanted to leave the review in case it might be helpful for others), and I've worn them several times. As suggested, I tried wearing them for a short amount of time the first few times I wore them. They were always comfortable, but once I'd worn them enough to get them to really start molding to my feet, they were even more comfortable! I think you have to make the commitment to give them a fair chance. This is probably true for other Birkenstock styles also. I initially tried one size smaller and I thought it looked like it fit, but the sales associate said I'd need more room, otherwise my toes would bump up against the front edge of the footbed. I went up a size and there is a little room at the front and back of the sandal. I checked with the Birkenstock website, and this is appropriate for sizing and fit for these sandals and shoes. Overall, I'm very happy with them! They're cute and comfortable! Also, be sure to get some of the Cork Life cork sealant (nobody told me about it, so I'm trying to help you out).

Not for me...I hadn't tried any Birkenstock's before now. I found this style had a very thick toe thong that was really uncomfortable for me. I have to send back. The style is cute though.

The comfort and ease of flip-flops but way classier. These shoes are so comfortable, and look adorable, too. I used to think Birks were only for hippies, but these are coming way back into style and now I can see why. I am a size 10, and both the 40 and 41 fit me well they will take a few wearings before they form to your feet, but thankfully, the straps on these are adjustable. I take them on every vacation now. They are the perfect walking shoes.

I love this shoe! This is my 3rd pair of Birkenstock Gizeh. Had foot surgery last October. Have many foot problems including plantar fasciitis, torn ligaments in foot and a bone bruise. These sandals are awesome! I can walk miles in them, stand in them for hours with no pain. The colors are fun, too.

These shoes are so cute and already I can tell they are going to be super comfy. I just had double bunionectomies; one in November and the other in May of this year and needed some shoes with support that were also cute to wear this summer as my feet heal. I ordered the size that I normally wear (which was 8-8.5) but they were a little too long so I had to return and order the next smaller size and they are perfect!

These shoes are so cute, I especially like the pink soles. After your foot molds into the cork they are very comfortable. I had to exchange mine because they run big. Order 30+ your shoe size. I wear a 9 so I exchanged for a size 39 and they were right on point.

These are great! They have the classic, supportiveness of the Birkenstock footbed, but the patent/pink color makes them seem much less dowdy and clunky than most Birkenstocks. The thong support is thick stiff plastic that takes some getting used to. These are fun and comfy!

The shoes were comfortable but I found sizing difficult. I'm a 7.5 and ordered the 38. They were close to too small, but I'm sure the 39 would be huge. I ordered the yellow, which was really fun and bright. Unfortunately I just didn't like how these looked on my feet! Returning.

I bought these sandals after breaking a toe. They took a bit of getting used to since the soles are very stiff. However, they gave my foot very good support while my toe healed. Much cuter than a boot cast!

I ordered this in a 38 as the chart said it was for 7-7.5 and I am a size 7. It was one size to big. I wish I had read the reviews before I bought as one reviewer said that US size 7 was really a 37. I reordered a 37 and it fits perfect.

This is my first pair of Birks - ever and I'm obsessed with these sandals! I bought the black patent leather with the pink bottoms and loved them so much, I bought them in Mocha too! Great colors on both by the way. I am an 8.5 and initially purchased the size 39. When they arrived, they were loose so I ordered the 38 - perfect! It helped a lot to tighten the strap. They did take a little time to break-in and the piece between the toes was a little irritating at first - but wow, so comfortable now. My feet get easily fatigued after wearing flip flops for more than a few hours but these, I can (and do) wear all day. As a matter of fact, I think I wore them every day this summer. They're cute - I get a lot of compliments on them and wear them with everything. We just got a cold snap here and I'm sad I haven't been able to wear them lately, but I just ordered the Birkenstock Boston and should receive them tomorrow. Can't wait! I ordered a pair of Boston's for my husband too and I know he will love them too! I thank you and my feet thank you Birkenstock and Zappos!

Very flattering and feminine for a Birkenstock. A touch narrow but still comfortable. Color is more of a greenish turquoise.

I finally bought my first pair of Birkenstocks! I have been jealous of Birkie wearers for years, they always look so comfortable in their supportive "hippie" shoes. Finally after summers of killing my feet in regular flip flops I bought these. I can honestly say they help/correct my feet. No pain while wearing them, and no foot pain the day after wearing them. My only regret is that I didn't buy a pair sooner - these are so cute - I could not resist! They're great! I do agree with other reviewers - it takes a few days of wearing them to break them in.

Order a size down. Toe piece was more comfortable than expected. Great for after workouts.

I can't get these things off my feet! They are so comfortable! I get compliments everywhere I go on the color (teal) and how cute they are. I am a true size 7 and got the 7-8 and they fit perfect. I have narrow feet so I got narrow but they're almost a little to narrow but I like how tight they fit so I didn't exchange. Might need another pair on another color.

These were my first pair of Birkenstock sandals. After a short breakin period, they became more comfortable. Provide stability and great style!

I love this shoe, and am glad the company has added some styles that are a bit dressier. The last pair I had was 15 years ago and I think they fit slightly better than this pair. These are a tad bit wide, and the lip in front of the toes takes some getting used to, but these are all very minor matters. I will happily order these again in the future, just waiting for more great colors to come out.

Was skeptical about ordering 'Vegan' Birkenstocks, but these are great. The Birki-Flor material is attractive, soft, supple and looks just like leather. I've work the Gizeh style for a few years, now, so the break-in period was nil for me. I wore them out of the box for an evening event and I felt like I had had them for years. I agree with others who suggest that newbies go slow and give these sandals a fair shot. It's worth it. It's the closest thing to going barefoot (which I can no longer do, due to plantar fasciitis) and they are very easy to slip on and slip off. Speaking of plantar fasciitis, Birkenstock shoes, worn religiously, have greatly helped turn around the great heel and arch pain I was suffering several months ago. And with Gizeh and several other styles of Birks that I own, I don't feel like I'm relegated to ugly orthopedic shoes. The arch support in Birks has often been described by others as 'aggressive', but that's exactly what some of us with foot problems need. They may not be 'office-worthy' for many people, but since I am retired, I am fortunate to be able to wear them, day in and day out. The price point for these long-wearing sandals is also very nice! I have them on now, here at work! Been in these shoes since they arrived a couple weeks ago. Love them perfect for Summer. I bought 2 pairs - the White & purple. True to size. I wear an 8 and bought the 39; fits exact. They are very cute on your feet.

Outstanding! My first pair ever of Birkeys and I love them so much I bought another pair. Great color, great fit, and just so soft and very attractive.

I have about six pairs of Birkenstocks in various stages of wear. I absolutely love them and I love these. Of course, the light color of both the leather and the soles mean I have to be a little more careful than I usually am, but they are really sweet! I bought my regular size in Birks and they fit great.

Never thought I would own a pair...but they are super comfy (after a short break in period) and cute! Might have to own another pair!

I have been this model of Birkenstock, the Gizeh, since I bought a pair at the base of the Duomo in Firenze (Florence)), Italy. That summer I walked sometimes 50 blocks a day and these were the only shoes I wore. That was 11 years ago and for 6 months out the year, I basically wear these shoes only. It takes a day or two to get used to a new toe thong, but after that they mold to your feet, keep your feet and lower back at the right angle (I say that as a yoga instructor) and in pink, white, orange, really accent your feet. Cute in long dresses and skirts, perfect with shorts, best sandal ever! Worth every dime. Zappos rules for many color choices.
