I love how comfortable it is on my back. I love the size of the backpack and the expansion belts to make more room when you add more stuff.

I don't write reviews often but this backpack warrants it. Perfect, large (but not ridiculously huge) backpack for carrying all your stuff. I needed a bigger pack for long work day trips in the field but didn't want some enormous travel pack something that still seemed like a normal pack. Needed burly and tough too which this is. The clam-shell design of this is my preference over top loading/roll top packs, yet the main compartment is big and roomy like a roll top bag. The laptop sleeve operates effectively as a separator if you are trying to organize your stuff and can hold much more than a laptop effectively dividing the main compartment in half if you want to. The main Velcro pocket on the front is also well divided with many smaller compartments for things like headphones and the like. Big enough to get a bunch of stuff in, but not so huge stuff gets all mixed up. Again, super versatile and just right. The glasses/small stuff zip pocket at the top is perfect sized for a few key items. The expandable pocket on the front for a bike helmet (or hard hat) works great if you really need to carry even more stuff. I've been using it for day trips to job sites and I have to bring a bunch of personal protective equipment and the bag swallows up all of that. Water bottle pockets are well-designed, hold bottles in place and can handle big or smaller bottles. Work great for a hard case for sunglasses too. Even the secret little pocket on the side is great for going through airport security and dropping my phone/wallet/passport into while you are going through TSA. Seriously, this pack could not have been more perfectly designed if you want a big (but not silly huge), well organized backpack built to last. Plus there are always good sales and I got it 30% of so price was super reasonable. I like it so much I wonder if I shouldn't buy another in case they ever stop making it to replace the one I just got 10-15 yrs from now when may be worn out...

Well constructed sturdy backpack that holds my laptop securely and everything else I need on my way to work. Seams and zippers are tight and secure along with all straps. Pack sits comfortably on my back and shoulders.

The way way this pack is put together is top notch. Craftsmanship, attention to the littlest details and overall design really set it apart from other high end packs. Nice work

I use this product every day for school, travel, etc. It has made it through floodwater and torrential downpours saturated from rain and my wet ACUs, all while keeping my laptop, hard rive, and sketchbooks, all completely dry.

People may complain about some flaws that this bag may have. However, the fit and feel along with the overall capacity make this bag ideal for traveling. I have taken this bag all over the world especially Japan and I absolutely love it! The multiple compartments for your passport, etc. are great. And that secret zipper pocket is great too. I also commute daily by bike to work and the transition from work bag to travel bag is seamless. I highly recommend this bag to everyone.

Great pack. Awesome weight distribution for commutes into work. The bag also is very roomy for storing everything I need. I also use the outside helmet pocket for my boots when I bike into work. Solid material that will withstand a whole lot of bashing around. I'm completely satisfied with this pack. It's been the best commuter pack I've ever purchased. Cheers, Timbuk2!

This is a really awesome bag with lots of space and pockets. I can fit a 45inch umbrella, a water bottle, coffee and tea mugs, and a shake blender bottle. On top of that I have a few red wells, and a pretty thick cables/tech/miscellaneous case. The padded backing is super comfortable. Even when full, the bag doesn't expand, still looks slim. After trying a few different bags, I am glad I found this one. I am very happy with this purchase.

My daily bike commute is 25-50 miles round-trip. I was looking for a water-resistant and aerodynamic backpack that can hold my laptop, office clothes, and spare parts. I tried the Timbuk2 Clark backpack at first and found it sturdy but too bulky and heavy. The Medio turned out to be the perfect size for my commute. The backpack follows the contour of my back and distributes the weight so evenly, I often forget I am carrying 12-15 lbs. of additional weight. The straps keep it nicely in place and inspire a complete sense of security in out-of-saddle accelerations. The removable sternum and hip straps are a nice touch and not needed for cycling (might be better suited for runners). The channeled padding on the back breathes very well. There are plenty of pockets and the bag still retains a fairly slim overall profile with good aerodynamics. The Medio has a striking look and quality feel to it that really makes it stand out. The surface is water repellent and the rain drops bead up on it. The zippers are sealed and look very discrete. The only improvement I'd like to see is making cleaning the front and especially the bottom of the backpack easier, especially after mud dries up on it. Overall, I am very happy with this backpack and I feel that it's the perfect choice for bike commuters at a fair price.

Bought this backpack two years ago for daily commuting (16km round trip commuting in the French Alps, all weather, city + mountain terrain), and it is almost perfect. Super nice design, super practical with all its pockets, safe because visible, perfectly weatherproof, big enough to carry a laptop + changing clothes + changing footwear. It still looks like it is brand new after two years of daily use. The only downside is that the two straps are a bit too close the one from the other, so it can be a bit painful around the neck when you are not wearing a high collar top, and when the backpack is almost empty. Less an issue when it is loaded.

I live & and work in rainy Seattle. In my six mile commute by bike, all the contents in the pack stay warm and dry. I love all the features of this pack. My only regret is that I didn't purchase this product years ago.

This is a truly fantastic backpack. Very high quality products, masses of pockets and a perfect size - even for a 2 days get-away!. The backpack exudes style and can be used for business or pleasure. It comes with a lifetime guarantee, which is almost impossible to find these days. Do not hesitate at the high cost, it is worth it.

This is a very stylish and convenient bag. I am a 5'3" female and was worried it would overwhelm me or not be enough space but the load distribution is perfectly done so that I don't look like I am being eaten alive by my bag but it also holds everything I need as an active full-time grad student. I can fit my lunch, watch, coffee, gym shoes, laptop, ipad plus books, notes etc. I am not sure if you can see from the photos but the front packet extends the height of the bag and have zippers that allow it to expand--it is perfect for gym shoes/clothes or a helmet. Also I really hate when water bottle pockets poof out and get saggy but these ones fit a variety of size bottles and so far are holding their integrity when not in use. I also love hat it looks equally good totally full and completely empty--good structure.

I live in Boston and use public transportation to get my office and then to the yoga studios where I teach so I need to be able to carry all of my clothing, food, and stuff for the whole day. I have bought at least 15 other bags trying to find one that will hold everything I need to be out of the house for 16 hours straight. This is the first bag that has kept me organized, dry when it rains and snows, and looking stylish while also keeping my back and shoulders healthy and relaxed. I love this bag and would buy it again and again!

After decades of single strapping I wanted two straps to handle heavy loads on an aging back. I thought I'd alternate this with my current Seagull but since getting the Medio it is all I've used. Love it. I especially like how the extra stablising straps are removable/reversible. Recommended
