Ok I was leary about shelling out $80 for Chucks. But you understand really quickly where that extra $ went. I'm impressed. These are beefy in comparison. Sharp. I wear a 9 in the standard version and a 9 fits perfectly. Tennis shoe comfort and Chuck style.

I wear a 15 in Nike. I wear a 14 in all converse. Love this “ off white “ style.

I call my Converse Chuck Taylors "Kamala Kicks" - LOVE THEM! I have large, hard to fit feet. I was prepared to be disappointed when my shoes arrived, but to my surprise they were comfortable! YAY! One caveat (sigh...) - I have on again/off again plantar fasciitis and I have to admit the arch support is so "moderate" as to cause me problems if I walk too long in these tennis shoes. It's not enough to keep me from wearing them, just something I notice after a few hours (and I am investigating inserts to alleviate the problem.) Now that I know my big, fussy feet can wear these I'm going to order more colors!

Fit size and look nice

I love the shoes! They fit just right and are very comfortable, in fact I’m wearing them as I write. The only issue is I ordered black, the box says black and Zappos says they’re black but my pair are navy blue. I kept them anyway.

The fit and size were just OK. The shoe was cheaply made. The top of the shoe was hard, the tongue was thin and barely pulled forward enough to tie the strings over it. The outer sole looked like it was plastic and was very shiny. I was very disappointed as this is not the same shoe I have one in the past. I returned for a refund.

These shoes are a great option for those who like a converse but want a little more cushion in the sole. I ordered my regular size and they fit just right. BEWARE! Obsidian is DARK NAVY! Not black! I had to return and order true black but other than that, great shoe.

I bought a pair of Converse All Stars high-top number of year ago, I couldn’t believe how flimsy they were. When I walk across parking lot you could feel every little pebble in those shoes. I even called a high school buddy, told him about the shoes, I said is this the way they were in the sixties, he Abruptly said quickly NO they make so cheap now. If you didn’t live back then you wouldn’t know what I’m talking about, you would just except them the way they are. So I was looking through Zappos (witch I love) and I saw Converse Chuck Taylor All Star 70. I wonder what did the 70 represent. Started reading the reviews, could it be possible that they brought back the same shoes we all wore throughout sixties so I ordered a pair of low-top white. They arrived open box, put them on low-and-behold I just went back to the sixties. Quite a bit thicker canvas, thicker shiny rubber sides. They were true to fit sizes and even the color of the canvas was a off-white just as I remember them. They feel as good to walk in as my running shoes. Most things improved over time except Converse All Star didn’t they got worse. That’s all changed now but make sure you get one that say “70”, probably stands for 1970. By the way I’ve called all my high school sixties buddies told about the “70”.

These shoes definitely run large, about 1/2 size to 3/4 size. I've ordered several pair now, and I know to order 1/2 size smaller than my normal size, so the end result is a great fit. They are very comfortable and the 70's version is a definite upgrade compared to the standard Chuck Taylor. I definitely recommend these shoes to anyone who likes the Chuck Taylor All Star style.

Would've loved to keep this All Star 70 OX... BUT even ordered half size larger than the regular All Star Chuck Taylor, this style is waaaay too tight around the forefoot and toe box, much narrower, too pointy and really long compares to the regular All Star, this felt like wearing clown's shoes! Despite the extra cushion in this 70 style (and more expensive), the regular Classic All Star-Chuck T. in size 7 feels better to walk in (and a lot cheaper), more room in the forefoot, not as tight as this style which made toes all cramped up and uncomfortable. Love this "enamel red" colour though, but with all that said... had to send them back.

Unfortunately these looked clownish in a size 10 so I returned. The materials were stiff and the toe was much more pointed than I expected.

These are much more comfortable/cushy than I thought they'd be. I got a half size down from my usual size. I initially bought these for the style, but found that they have really good support. My daughter has been wearing these for years and I never thought about buying myself a pair. Worth the price for a nice casual sneaker.

Given as a gift. Very cool shoes teenagers and adults agree?

First time getting the Chuck 70 version low top. I have a pair of the regular Converse All Star I have wore for a while. Though these new ones have what seems like stronger canvas, better stitching, cushioning, I find they are a bit more SHOE like than the original All Stars. It made me realize what I really liked about my originals is they are flexible to the max and even the canvas is much more flexible. These 70s also are heavier. More like a pair of Vans (no dis to Vans, I have 2 pair). When I get another pair of Converse I will just stick to the original, less expensive pair.

These are great. I love the Chuck 70’s style. They are much better constructed then the regular Chucks. Worth the extra money.

Great buy, a little pricey but worth it for the better feel

I generally wear 9.5 in shoes. I purchased the sneakers in 8.5 and 9.0 after reading other reviews about the shoe size running a half to a full size up. I ended up keeping the 9.0. The shoes have more cushioning and are a little heavier than the Chuck Taylor All Star's which i prefer. Overall, really like these sneakers.

If you were a 10 in the regular Chucks, then order the same size for these. Super comfortable compared to the regular ones. So far they seem to be holding up better as well.

Much more cushion on the insole than the classic chucks and more comfort to match. The sizing for chucks have always been small but these aren’t as small because of the extra cushion. I wear a 9.5 in classic chucks but a 10 in the chuck 70s. My recommendation is to buy a half size larger than your normal chuck taylor size (which is 1 to 2 sizes smaller than any other brand).

These hurt my feet. I wear Chuck Taylors almost daily because they do not hurt my troublesome right foot. I tried to wear the 70 around home in hopes it would break in but they are very stiff and constricting, especially around the toe, for me. My feet ached after removing the shoes. I'll return these and get my usual.

PERFECT!!! Love the 70’s old school style! Sooo comfortable. I plan for on purchasing in every color!

I wear a woman size 9 (so mens would be a 7) & I purchase a 6.5 because they do run a little big. They are the most comfortable converse they do have a lot of cushion on the bottom. I like wearing them without socks. By far my favorite I have them in many colors
