Live in South Carolina and from early spring to fall, our climate is one of high temperatures and high humidity. I personally own over 15 in both solid colors and plaid. This shirt is such a great product not only for humid climates but it can go from the bow of the flat skiffs fishing all day or a hot September dove field to dinner and a cocktail party and be a great choice for either. It also travels exceptionally well. Not only would I, but I do reccomend it to others.

Good looking shirt. Fits well. I appreciate all the great features. Even after being stuffed into a dry bag for three days it looked great. The only problem I had was that it stayed wet way too long after dunking my arms retrieving flys from a Michigan river. Especially when it's cloudy. Other than that, I'm buying another one.

Love the features, look and feel of the shirt.
Looking forward to seeing how it feels in the tropics.
Only thing was the shirt sleeve is a tight when I rolled it up.

As I write this review, I am wearing one of these shirts. I had someone compliment me on it and asked where they could purchase one because they liked the material it was made of. When I went to this website, I was dismayed that it actually had a low review. All of my ex officio shirts have lasted well over ten years - and I abuse them. I have used one to tie bikes down on a roof rack only to get to our destination and don it on for the ride home. I used one for several months as a cover for water to keep mosquitoes from spawning in the water supply. Then as winter approached, I just threw it in the wash and still wear it today. They are a little pricey but if I keep them on an average of ten years plus for each shirt, it really isn't a huge price to pay. I wear my shirts from working on my Vanagon (unfortunately a common occurance) to attending church on Sunday. I have worn ex officio shirts on five different continents and wouldn't travel, work, or live in any other brand. Sure I buy cheaper shirts as well but they get replaced due to wear and tear. I highly recommend the brand and this shirt in particular. I might be a little biased, but you will be to once you purchase your first ex officio shirt.

I purchased this shirt for a recent sailing trip in the BVI's. It was the perfect weight and served as a decent sun blocker as well. Also many compliments from the ladies -- so it's a good step up from shorts and a t-shirt. Great shirt!

My husband got one of these shirts in a nice blue for Christmas before we moved to Patagonia for 6 months a few years ago & has worn it to death- it is still in tact, but a bit sun faded. Because he loves it so much & has worn it 1,000 times, I bought him a grey one for Christmas. This is a stylish, yet practical shirt. It breaths, protects from the sun, is light enough to wear in all kinds of climates & I can't say enough great things about it. Yes, they are pricey, but so worth it!!!

Great Travel shirt, especially for security. Combine these with some P3 pants and you are a pickpocket's nightmare and he will find another victim.

Excellent product. This is second one after eight years with # 1 which is still serviceable. Appreciate that same product I love can still be ordered and has not been cheapened.

I have owned 2 airstrip shirts for 7 years now. They exceeded any expectations I had. They are comfortable, quick drying and my GO TO shirts for any hot weather outdoor activity.

This is a great shirt. It is comfortable, cool, quick-drying, protects from the sun, and has pockets that are wonderful on an airplane. I use the breast pocket for my passport, a folded boarding pass, etc. Yes that looks dorky on a busty woman. But it is great not to have to worry about finding that stuff at the airport, and it's worth it. They are also handy for little stuff like lip balm.
The men's shirt fits okay for a woman, although the pockets are a bit larger than I'd prefer, especially when I'm not on a plane. It's a far nicer and more useful shirt than the odd dry-fly-lite, or whatever the similar shirt marketed to women is called.
I also have some old ones from when they made this in women's sizes. They are very durable. I wear them frequently, and they look brand new. They have held up much better than similar shirts in other brands.

I have been wearing Ex Officio shirts for ten years, or maybe a little longer. I had only two shirts that I would alternate, one plum and one khaki. I decided to expand my wardrobe of shirts this year. Both those shirts have held up to the Phoenix desert, and have gone around the world. I decided that I would never check in a bag again, with the new fees and the many bags that have been lost. Thus, my Ex Officio shirts are indispensable in traveling. They weigh next to nothing, and can easily be mushed into a backpack. When you hang them up, the wrinkles fade. When you need to wash them, you can easily use a sink, and they dry in no time. The new Bracken shirt is a dark green, and looks more stylish than the previous shirts. It wears well in the heat, and you can layer them in the winter. Rain soaks in only in a downpour. The shirt is a bit pricey, but it lasts forever.

Purchased 2 shirts and some underwear online. Noticed afterwards that I ordered the wrong size shirts. Called them to change the size and it got done. No attitude or hassle - just appreciation for buying their product. THAT is how you build a business. Thanks ExOfficio.

This shirt is terrific for travel and every day wear. It is cool, light weight, provides good sun protection, plenty of pockets and dries overnight. When traveling in dry climates it dries in a few hours.

I bought two of these: One for my son-in-law and the other for my older grandson. They were members of the first group to hike the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico this summer.
My son-in-law found the shirt to be particularly useful. He could put it on with the sleeves rolled down in the morning chill, roll the sleeves up as the morning warmed and then roll the sleeves back down in the afternoon sun for protection.
Of course, the weight of the shirt (or the lack of it) was a prime consideration on a 10-day hike.

Excellent shirt and excellent value but a bit heavier than earlier version. Wish had 2 zippered pockets and styling like previous version.

Backpacking? This is a sharp and classy looking summer shirt that looks great almost anywhere, yet is remarkably durable and practical. Its cut is roomy, and I like that when rolled-up, the sleeves leave lots of room for movement and air circulation. I've worn these shirts only in the arid Southwest but guess they'd function well in humid climates. Look for sales!

Bought this for a trip to Israel and the West Bank. Very comfortable, large (maybe even overly large) pockets. Very light weight. No complaints.
