I thought this was a cute casual/dressy black shoe, The cute shoe became ugly the moment i opened the box. The sole is tan and is about 1/4 inch thick and rises to about 1/2 inch thick and is visible along the side of the shoe. It may be a comfortable shoe but this tan sole does nothing for this shoe. I was very surprised and disappointed that this was a Rockport Cobb Hill shoe. I will be returning them,

I take size 7W & these are much longer than standard size 7.

This item is true to size and width, but the color is off from what is described. It came in as distinctly GOLD; whereas "Pewter" implies greyish/silver (which is what I need to blend with my son's wedding party)! DISAPPOINTING!

I love these shoes so I ordered a pair in wide width. The pair I received were not "wide" width.

I hate leaving such a negative review on such an adorable pair of shoes. The color, the retro look - they are so adorable in the picture and in person. I was so disappointed when I put them on to find the material is stiff and immediately began rubbing my pinky toe painfully after about four seconds of wearing them just in the apartment! Zappos was great about quick orders and returns as always. If you have any issues with shoes rubbing your toes or need softer materials, this is not the right shoe for you.

I couldn't even buckle this shoe. They skimped so much on the strap material that it wouldn't even reach the buckle over my bony foot. Really, Cobb Hill? Couldn't spare an extra 1/4" of leather?

Really cute and comfortable, but recently found out that Cobb Hill shoes are made with pigskin in China. Since I know first-hand how pigs are treated in China, can't do it. Just can't.

I am very disappointed that I won't be wearing those beautiful shoes. I'm horrified that they are so mis-sized (in the toebox area).
