I think probably this is one of my best investment in a jacket

Jacket is lightweight and waterproof; has kept me dry in medium downpours (seems like it would work in heavier downpours). Easily packable. The seems and fabric are sturdy; I've snagged the pockets and the backside a few times and nothing has ripped. I'm 5' 11" at 190 lbs, 42" chest and 36" waist, and bought the large size; seems a little big and I probably should have went with a medium. But the extra room allows me to put my jacket on over my hydration pack.

Excellent product and service

Went on a hike recently and realized my shell from my Bugaboo interchange 3-in-1 jacket that bought probably 10 yrs ago (been a loyal Columbia customer most of my life) didn't cut it in a downpour. Ordered this because it was breathable, simple, and lightweight. Took on a trial when we got our next rain and couldn't be more pleased. Completely dry underneath and good hood coverage. If you're looking for an affordable, good quality rain coat I highly recommend.

The jacket is Omni Tech fabric waterProof, yet it breathes n not hot & sweaty like some other jackets. Attached, adjustable hood comes in very handy in Oregon rain (in case you forgot hat or not waterproof). Quality zippers & pockets. Good looking, good fit. The last Columbia-sportswear rain coat I had lasted 15 years until my dog ripped sleeve. I wish the new jacket had an inside zipper pocket like the version 15 years ago. This one is lighter and fits better.

Looks good, much less "rustly" than my pricey MHW Gore-tex shell and protects just as well from wind and rain, though this is based on a few weeks of ownership, so we'll see how the waterproof layer holds up over time. The material seems to be reasonably durable, though. Bought size Medium for my 5'10" slender frame with wider-than average shoulders, and it fits well, though it may not accommodate bulky layering.

Jacket is very light but you can tell it is well made. Easily packable just like the description. Little roomier but not excessively enough for a hoodie underneath. Very happy with this product and would recommend to friends. Waterproof function is excellent.

I bought this jacket because I spend quite a few days in the rain each year watching my kids play sports outdoors all year round. Within a week of receiving this jacket, it was put to a serious test. I was outside at a game and it started to downpour. The rain carried on for at least an hour with downpour conditions. I sat in my umbrella chair, put a waterproof blanket over my legs and just used this jacket as my only barrier above my waste. No umbrella. The water just beaded up and rolled down the jacket the entire time. The closest the water came to getting through was about a half an hour of sitting there not moving much, there was a little pool of water from not moving. The material started to turn darker, so you can see that sitting water will saturate the material, but I shifted the jacket to get rid of the pool of water and the water never got through. I got back to the car, removed the jacket, and there was not a drop of moisture anywhere covered by the jacket. At the next game, the other parents asked me how I sat there the entire time in the downpour and never even picked up my umbrella. I told them it was the jacket and that I found it easier than trying to hold an umbrella in rainy, windy conditions. I love this jacket. It serves its purpose. I came back to this site because it's raining again today and my wife commented on how much better my jacket was in the rain compared to the one she has that is a different brand. She will be looking at Columbia rain jackets to replace her current jacket and seeing mine in action for months. This jacket was a great purchase.

A very nice quality mesh lined rain jacket with great color.

Blocks wind, blocks rain. Very warm for being so light. Travels well because it can be folded up into it's own pocket. Great for fall rain or for layering in cool to cold temps.

This jacket worked , I caddy at Cypress Point,and when it rains this jacket was totally waterproof, in all kinds of wind and rain conditions.

Bought this for my son, he loves it! Size is perfect and he can use it while running too.

I was trying to find a good rain shell jacket and a friend of my was recommending me an other brand because he was telling me that Columbia was very expensive but I finally decide to buy Columbia and he bought the other brand and in a couple of days his rain shell jacket broke and mine still perfect!!!

This is the perfect rain jacket for my husband. He had been looking for a lighter one that could go over a sweater or shirt and not be too bulky. It's very much water resistant and all the zippers are sturdy. He loves it!

I wrap this jacket it up and take it with me everywhere. I normally throw it on top of my really warm jacket. It's a great product for a reasonable price!

Great jacket, great quality and confortable

I listed "a little larger" because if you wanted you could layer a light sweater, or fleece under the rain jacket. It's breathable as advertised, I tend to be a little warm and I don't sweat while wearing the rain jacket. I can move about and don't feel restricted in any flexibility. Solid rain jacket.

This jacket truly is watertight! My dad wore this for 45 minutes in the pouring rain on the beach searching for shark teeth and when he came inside his shirt beneath the jacket was completely dry!

My husband and I both have this jacket (I have the women's version). My dad saw my husband's jacket and fell in love with it, so we got him the purple one for Christmas. The color is unique and very pretty. We all love our jackets and wear them rain or shine. They make great windbreakers and are perfect for keeping the chill off. You won't regret making this purchase!

Bought this great jacket and rain pants for someone who camps year round. Perfect for keeping dry and room for layering.

Great jacket to keep you dry. Breaths pretty good for a rain jacket, so unless it's hot out, I stay pretty comfortable.

bought this coat for my grandson for christmas..as soon as he opened his gift he immediately wore it and didn't take it off until they left my house! He loves his coat...we are all very happy
