I ordered these Columbia Sandy River shorts to wear when we go hiking or canoeing on hot days. The material is nice and I know it will dry quickly if I get wet.

I bought these shorts to wear over my swimsuit. Sorry that these are not sun protective; but the pockets are big enough for my cell phone and I will use them on the beach. Nice color with my teal shirts and good heavy fabric.

These are my "go-to" shorts for hot, humid Maryland summers. I have been buying these and the Sandy River Cargo shorts for years, adding a few new colors each season. They are color fast, launder and dry easily, and last forever. I prefer the Sandy River Shorts over the Cargo Shorts due to the lack of the belt loops (altho a belt is not needed) and the lack of a zippered fly. The Sandy River Shorts are also available in a much wider variety of colors. My only complaint is that I wish they were available in a 6" length vs the 5" length offer. I would also suggest offering the Cargo Short in some of the wonderful colors available in the Sandy River.

Fits true to size, I was afraid the short would be too small but it isn't

I am 5'9" 150 lbs, and I went with size large. The medium probably could've worked, but I like my shorts loose. I would need to use the drawstring to keep them up if I was doing anything active, but the leg size is perfect! I have both lengths, and I've found this shorter length fits better, and it isn't too short either.

I love these shorts. I'm 5'4' and 95 lbs. The xs is a good fit and the drawstring allows for adjustment. The pockets are deep enough to be functional. The shorts are lightweight and comfortable. The color is more brown than olive, kind of a deep, earthy olive brown.

These shorts looked nice. Nice and lightweight. I really wanted to like them, however unfortunately I was sent the 5" when I ordered the 3". So these came up over my belly button and below half of my thigh. The 3" would have been perfect. So I had to return these.

I love these shorts! They are just a tad on the tight side but they still manage to work for me and I am so happy they do! I love them for all of the outdoor activities that I do! The material is amazing, I just love them!
