I gave had 6 similar pairs over the years love them. And still have them and stand up well

I wear these almost daily for gardening, kayaking, walking, just everything. They clean up really well and last a couple of years, plus they dry quickly. Nothing fancy about them, just useful everyday lightweight shorts. Used to wear them sailing, but have retired from cruising.

The shorts were exactly what I ordered. I could not find all colors in the local stores but Columbia came through. Material and stitching are good. Colors don't bleed. Good value for the money. Order came quickly, 3 to 4 day tops. Very happy with ordering on line.

I work at a year-round camp and conference center where I direct a children's summer camp. This year when my staff came in wearing these shorts, I immediately went to find some. I now own 4 pairs and LOVE them. I wear them for everyday wear because they are comfortable and cute. But, I've also worn them while kayaking and they dry very quickly. I highly recommend these to anyone that works or plays outdoors.

I ordered 2 pairs of these shorts for walking/running with my dog every morning The quality is excellent and they are comfortable & true to size. I bet they will be great for kayaking as well because of the quick drying material.

The shorts are light, cool and very comfortable.

I bought these to go over padded spandex biking shorts and wear them often for that use - they don't get gross sweaty, and they have enough give and dry quickly. I also threw them on over a swimsuit for rafting and they worked well for that too. Good versatile "workhorse" shorts for outdoor activities.

I love these shorts! They're so light and it feels like they're not even there. The pockets are bigger than most in women's shorts which is very helpful! I will definitely own every color of them.

These shorts worked out perfectly for what I bought them for - modest coverage at the water parks this summer. I wear a swim suit bottom underneath and then the shorts over it. I'm 5'6" and 135, bought the medium and very happy with fit. They don't ride up in the leg which is a great thing when walking all day. They also dry quickly and feel great. Only bad thing was the color I got was a little darker than they looked on the screen.

Shorts are light weight, and very comfortable. I wear a size 8 jeans, so ordered the medium. They fit perfect. Also like the length. The pockets are also nice. They are deep enough to where nothing will fall out. And the price was great. I ordered a second pair. Have nothing bad to say about these shorts or anything Columbia makes for that matter.

Was packing for the Caribbean and couldn't find my shorts, Ordered these, delivered in 2 days. Wore them almost every day. Washed them and they dried in a few hours. Looked great, felt wonderful, super light weight, great pockets.

If you're active and around water these are a must have. They're very comfortable and the length is great if you're getting in and out of kayaks and canoes.

These shorts are extremely light weight with enough room to be a comfortable active-wear short. Drawstring waist aids a perfect fit, and the pockets are a good size. The fabric dries easily making this a perfect short for kayaking and camping. Very happy with this purchase!

I love the light weight material as well as non binding fit

Even though I measured myself, the shorts were still a little snug across my butt. I would rather have something a little looser but thought if I went a size larger, according to the chart, it would have been too big. I guess I should have taken that chance.

These shorts are perfect as walking shorts, water shorts and everything in between. Lightweight, dry fast, fit perfectly, wash up nicely. I have 4 pair. Love them.

I've had shorts like these for many years, washed zillions of times and use them for walking and fishing. They wear like iron. When they became so faded and I decided to replace them, they seem to have changed the style for "sandy river shorts" to something that has a belt and more pockets. I bought some of the new style but do not like them. Went online, found these and love them. Would be very dissapointed if this style would no longer be available as they are classics.

I finally found the perfect shorts for summer - short enough for running, light weight, long enough for a bit of coverage and the best part - they have POCKETS! Love these. Bought another pair - one's not enough. Oh yeah, cool colors, too.

The shorts are perfect for walking in the Florida heat. They are cool and comfortable. The other morning I got sprayed by sprinklers and they dried in no time. They are also ideal for wearing over a swimsuit when going to the beach or pool.

Very comfortable & fit.

I love theses shorts. We live by the beach & I have a 2 yr old son. We are outside everyday to the beach, a park, playground, riding bikes, etc. These are perfect to put on to run around shopping, playing & keeping up with an active little one. I thought the fit was really great & maybe a little big in the waist compared to the previous ones but I still got the same size. Love the new colors. Hate that the only store that sells them near me (Dick's Sporting Goods) only has black & verdant. The are very light weight & you do have to were light colored underwear if the shorts are a light color. I will buy more. Just wish I could buy more Columbia shorts in the stores.

Like these shorts because they fit well, dry quickly and look nice right out of the wash. If you are looking for some clothes good for running errands, and running on the beach, these are the shorts.

I was originally sold this product as male swimwear! It worked perfectly, did not gather sand clumps at the beach, dried faster than any other material I know, and covered just enough without excess material making it hotter. The first pair I have had for three years and it is as durable as ever. Because they are so comfortable, I began wearing the shorts more and more around the house even in winter. It was clear that one pair was insufficient, so I ordered three additional pairs directly. Delivery was speedy, quality maintained, and the price less than I paid in the store. I cannot say how women and children fare with this (I would imagine well) but the suit suits men just fine.

The shorts are great. I usually wear a medium, but had to get a large to get the right fit. The one negative is that they were available in only one color in the large size. I would have ordered one in each color if they were available.
