I ordered this in 1X even though I usually wear a large/extra-large because I wanted room for a hooded sweatshirt and the coat to be looser in the hips. I've had the coat for a month, but today it rained a good, soaking rain all day. I took my dog for 2 twenty-plus-minute walks and I stayed dry. The hood was great & the jacket kept all of the rain off. The only downside is all of the rain pools on the outside of the jacket so I, too, had to shake when I came in!

The construction of the jacket is great and lightweight. It is very comfortable. The Velcro AND zipper is a bit too much, one or the other, but does the job of keeping the wind out.

Awesome jacket, breathable and true to size, it's not paper thin so that's a plus.

This is a perfect light weight rain jacket. I was concerned about the sizing based on reviews, but there's enough room to put a lightweight fleece under it if needed. Packs away, just a bit bigger than I thought. Overall I am very happy with it. Will buy another when needed.

I had purchased a raincoat from another company several years ago. It totally ripped in the pocket areas( and it's a name brand). This raincoat is lined and the material is top-notch and not at all like what I had. I noticed it by seeing my daughter with one...she has one too!!

I typically wear an 18W... but if you're hesitant about whether to go with a 1 or 2x .. I'd go with the 2x. This jacket fits me perfectly. not to big.. not to small.. with enough room for a light sweater. My preference would have been a detachable hood or one that folds up into the collar.. but honestly, this jacket fits so well... that I'm not looking any further. The tough decision is whether to keep the black or go with the iceberg or wild geranium!!!

I purchased this jacket because I live in Washington, where it happens to rain a lot. I'd had the jacket for about three weeks and it performed exactly as advertised - but it received its true test this past weekend over a few days on the Oregon Coast. The weather was mainly miserable during my visit, but I walked on the beach several times in driving wind and rain and was extremely pleased at how it kept the rain out yet didn't make me feel overheated. The fabric is light enough that the jacket is easily folded and packed without taking up a lot of room. The hood has a decent deep brim and zippered pockets held my camera, phone, and wallet with no problem. I'm in the process of losing weight and have purchased in smaller sizes so I can always have this jacket. I love it! If you're on the fence, don't hesitate. You won't be disappointed.

I love this jacket. It not only serves as a rain jacket but is a great all around spring jacket, breathable very nice material. I bought it in the white, size 3X. I would like to purchase the blue also. It does run a bit large so I would go down a size. But all in all, I am very satisfied with my purchase. I would recommend this jacket to anyone!

Bought this jacket for a trip to Disney because I didn't want to wear a poncho when it rained. Of course, it never rained the entire week I was there! Which is a good thing. However, I wore it on other rainy days after my vacation and I was nice and dry. My only complaint it the sizing. I had to size up 2 sizes, in order for there to be room enough to move or for a sweater. Normally wear a L or XL and had to go with a 2X! Either the sizing was done by a man or a really skinny woman because it was so off...I say who cares what the tag says.. get what fits you.

I first wore this jacket over the weekend and it was great. While in DC visiting museums and sight seeing, it kept me dry when it rained and when the wind started picking up I did not get cold at all. I had on a short sleeve shirt underneath and jeans. There is light lining on the inside and I was very comfortable. I am 5'3 and 208 lbs.

I really love this jacket. It's the right weight for me (not too hot, not too cold). Fit is great! Waterproof and was just enough for a trip to the Oregon Coast. I have the white with gray trim. Very flattering

Love the water proof part for the Northwest!

I love this rain jacket! I got it for a planned trip to Costa Rica, but I've used it for the rainy weather we've been having here too. It's lightweight and airy but definitely water proof. The color in the picture is very accurate, bright rose is a great pop of color, especially if it's raining!

I purchased this for the spring in the Inland Northwest as I only have winter jackets. I received this jacket the day it rained all day, amazing! So comfortable and did a great job at repelling the rain. I would note that there is no warmth to this jacket as it is just a shell, so layering up is a good idea. I am plus size and this fits comfortably. I wear a 2x usually but got the 3x so I could layer.

Like other reviewers I love this jacket! Except that it's too tight in the shoulders /across the back. I'll unfortunately be returning the jacket.

This little jacket is a workhorse for me. It shuts out the rain, cuts wind significantly, and keeps me warm and dry even through a rainy winter. I agree that it does run a little bit small, and this may be due to the cut of it more than the actual measurements of the garment. I can get a fleece jacket and a thermal shirt under it without problems, though, and I'm normally about a size 20 in street clothes. Also it's a little fiddly with the hood and the zipper. I find the hood only stays up if I pull the zipper almost all the way up, or if I pull the side adjustments on the hood. I believe this is more a matter of learning how the jacket works than a problem of manufacturing or fit, though. Since I figured that out I haven't had any issue. All in all I love my fuchsia ray of sunshine, and recommend it heartily.

I love this jacket! It's color combination is beautiful! I mainly just wear it on rainy days to work, or to go into town and run errands. it's been great so far! It was slightly bigger in the shoulders compared to its sleeves but nothing that would deter me from buying it again!
