I loved these, but unfortunately the dye in the black shearling was turning my toes and heels black after only a week of wearing them. Would recommend only getting the natural shearling on the inside.

I bought these because I wanted warm slippers that I could wear around the house (and outside to the mailbox). The style fit the bill perfectly, but I am a little disappointed with the size. I usually wear a size 9. The 9's were too small, so I got a size 10. They fit but still feel a little snug, and I certainly can't wear them with socks (which may be a problem in the middle of the winter?) I am hoping that they loosen up over time.

Wonderful gold color but very very tight fit. I get a size bigger usually and in these I should have gotten TWO sizes bigger! I wore them in the hope they would smash down and fit my foot but so far no good. And now I can't send them back. :-(

These are cute, but would look ridiculous with the sides down. The critical flaw is that the tongue is too short, so if you were to leave the house in them, and you live someplace cold, you'd need to wear them with socks, which seems pointless. Despite this, they are really really comfortable for wearing around the house. But I needed something that I could run errands in, and these are not it.

These slippers are shaped like a sled. They are extremely narrow on the foot. The larger size slips in the heel and smaller size feels like I am going to rip them walking in the front. I would hope these stretch, but when I am told these shoes stretch, they do not. They are the opposite reason why many people wear the Ugg boot. Uggs should be wide and flexible. These are stiff and unyielding. I wish they were more comfortable.

These are great slippers. I am glad that I read the previous reviews and glad that I ordered larger. They fit perfectly!

I am not yet sure if I am keeping these. Ugg is my favorite shearling brand, especially with slippers and these are really beautiful, plush and warm. Like another review, I was looking for something to keep exposed ankles warm. However, I am not sure I find the high back comfortable. With any amount of walking around, it feels like it will be irritating on the back of my ankle, with the way it is tapered inward. Folded down, it is bulky and awkward. I have placed a second order for the lower profile slipper-mocs (Ugg Ansley) and will have to re-evaluate. I wanted to love these, but I am just not sold.

I was hater of UGGS until these! Most adorbs, I especially loved the cuffed collar. I originally got the lilac, then called back and exchanged for the pink. Helena, the service rep in Vegas, was mad friendly, and made the whole process super easy. They arrived the next day, and I absolutely love them! So warm and cozy, and cute! I love the combo of pink and the wool! They are actually not as powdery and pale as they appear in the picture and the pink is kind of on the light orchid side of pink. The best thing is that they match my pink and white chevron Dooney tote! Sizing-According to the sizing chart and the whole trace your foot on a piece of paper thing, and the reviews, I just went up one size. I am an 11 in the real world, and got these in a 12. There is enough room, but they feel a tiny bit tight around the mid foot; think area under the bow. I heard that they stretch, so I am not too worried, but I also read some reviews that there was unraveling and such around that area where the opening and the front and side of the shoe meet. I hope that doesn't happen! AND THEY DONT look oofishly big, going to a 12. I suppose you need to size up due to all the wonderful fun and fur inside. In any event, I am coming back for the black!

This was a gift, and was received well! The Ugg's are super comfortable. And, Zappos made the purchase so easy!

I think everyone complaining about them being too small does not realize that it takes a while for the lambswool to break down to the mold of your foot. I order just a half size up and they were fine - tight, but fine since they will stretch out. I don't think the lining around the ankle is real lambswool...it felt very different in texture from the footbed of the slipper. I guess that's what you get buying a product made in China. Super disappointed. Return!

Love the color, but this 10B is way too snug to keep. Ugg boots in a 10B are almost too big. Confusing sizing! Would like to keep, but will be returning these.

This is a very attractive slipper but just like another UGG slipper that I ordered, it slips off my heel with each step. They both seemed snug enough when standing still but again, considering what they cost are just not worth the aggravation. I think that Uggs and I were not meant to be together. I wish I could find another product that fit like the old ones I had that were much cheaper an did not do that. I am batting zero here.

Along with receiving these within 24 hours of my order (incredible!), I am pleased with the shoe. Some reviews note that size should be ordered at least one above normal. I wear a perfect Ferragamo 8.5; have Sorel slides, Acorn moccasins and Bearpaw boots, sheepskins all in 9. (I have a couple pairs of regular shoes in a 9 and they are a little large.) I ordered these in a 10, and they are just right. I wonder if tight sizing has anything to do with the complaints folks have had about stitching giving way. (I will wait and see -- hope not.) I doubt that I will wear these with the collar turned down; the ankle coverage was what appealed to me (and the Acorns give me conventional styling.) So far, cozy, toasty and comfy.

I love the Alenas, after reading the reviews I decided not to size up as the Ugg size 8 has always been to large for me in all of the boot styles. Once I received them, I knew right away that they were not going to fit. The width is narrow along the top of the foot making it hard to slide into. I am exchanging them for the size 8 now, judging by the 7 I may even need a size 9 in these.

I have worn other models of Uggs, the slip-on styles, that have lasted for years. They were great, but I have a chilly home and I needed a slipper that would keep my ankles warm, as well. The Alena does that quite well! This pair of Uggs is snuggly and bears up under all forms of indoor and outdoor stress. The interior is cushiony and conforms to the shape of the foot. I love them, and I know I will keep them for years.

I have two complaints about these - the sizing, and that the rubber does not cover the entire sole. How strange for outdoor-indoor shoes! It is hard to imagine that they would not wear out fast, even just over carpet. As far as the sizing. I normally wear a 6 or, in most closed shoes a 6½. I ordered a 7 and they are still slightly too short. So what am I supposed to do - try an 8? That would be a first for me! I cannot imagine that they would not be too big, in looks as well. So I am not sure what to do. I really like the style and overall they are heavenly comfortable. Best of all they can be stepped into and do not need to be pulled on with your hands like the classic Uggs - which I have two pairs of and also love, but for the milder months it is nice to just be able to easily step into something cozy in the morning on my way to the kitchen and then slip them off as soon as things warm up. The classic bootie styles, even the shortest, are a little bit of a pain to get on and off and work better for long term wear. Yet I am finding, like many other customers, that these more shoe-like styles have these strange sizing issues. So I am still on the fence as to whether I will keep them.

Wonderful comfortable shoes! I wear them all the time. My first pair the string at the toe started to unravel after a few months. I called and Zappos sent me a new pair two days later! Great customer service!!!

I bought these slippers and within a week the stitching had come undone. I was really disappointed, given their price. I tried getting them replaced through Ugg directly. They were totally unhelpful. After a few months, I called Zappos and within a few days the problem was resolved and I had a new pair of slippers. No problems with the new pair. Love them. Comfortable and cozy. I do feel that they run smaller than traditional Uggs - just an FYI. Zappos is the best!
