This jacket is a great lightweight, packable, fashionable rain jacket. Perfect for travel or just local hiking and wear around town on those wet days.

Purchased this jacket for use on a commute to work, but have found it far more useful than I anticipated. Lightweight, packs up small, and really fends off the rain. The only issue I have with the jacket, as a larger guy, is that it runs a bit small. However, I've found that to be generally true of Marmot products generally - they're not friendly to us large football types!

I use the jacket in the fall when playing tennis as well. Warm but not heavy when playing. On a Grand Canyon white water raft trip it kept me completely dry.

Over the past six years I've used this jacket about once per month to help keep me dry when the weather turns to rain or sometimes snow. It is extremely lightweight and easy to pack just in case and effective enough that I turn to it first over my bulkier external shell. My only complaint is that the inner coating is starting to flake but six years is a good run for waterproof gear.

This jacket has everything you need for rainy hike. Easy, light to pack. Great jacket.

This is my favorite jacket; a 2nd one purchased after 2+ years wearing the 1st. In Winter over a merino base layer & a down 'puff', to Spring trout fishing, Summer festival season, & Fall foraging, stashed in my daypack for wind or that popup rainstorm.

Quality of product is not the issue - the issue is the low quality of service and poor communication from Marmot! Dr R Turner

Right on time perfect purchase for my daughter. She took this on a trip to Philadelphia on a rainy summer Saturday. It was stylish and ultra functional.

This lightweight jacket is both stylish and weather-hardy in all but wintry conditions. I love the light weight that allows for layering. It's my go to jacket.

Comfortable and functional basic raincoat. Being able to stow away the hood is a great advantage. The outer fabric is very flexible and doesn't make a lot of crinkling noise like some garments do. I bought one of these about 8 years ago and it has held up well. I got a new one because a medium size suits me more now so I replaced my old size large. Was glad to see they still make them.

This is my favorite light rain jacket! Going for a run in the rain never stood a chance against the Precip Jacket!

Lightweight very funtional.zippered underarm vents are very useful.the deep angled pockets are awesome! The hood has a soft type brim which is helpful, and this jacket will keep you dry in style!

Lightweight and really keeps you nice & dry during the wetter months, which is why I also bought one for my husband! And I think the hood is probably one of the best features because it folds into the collar!

This is the perfect jacket; rain proof, wind proof, cool on hot rainy days and warm enough on crisp fall days. This is my second one!!!!

I do landscaping for a living, I wanted something flexible & breathable, i have the bottoms also to go with jacket, I love them both best purchase I made.

This jacket keeps me dry from all the Seattle rain.

Comfortable and light. I like the extra venting. Still kept me dry while walking a few miles in light rain. I do size up to be able to wear a thicker layer underneath for cold weather, but even when wearing it alone the extra size seems to drape OK. I am pretty happy with this one. I also like the light color for summer, not white, not really tan or grey, just a nice neutral.

The wife and I bought these in case it rained during a foreign trip and sure enough it did. They easily fit in the backpack all day and when the rain came, Bam, we were good to go. Great!

Jacket is very lightweight and packs easily into it's own pocket. I do miss the fabric pull that was on the zipper on the previous model, but otherwise am pleased with the cut and fit of the jacket. Held up well in a light rain, but haven't tried it out in a downpour yet.

It works as described. Instead of water dripping along the inside of the jacket, it is only on the outside.
