Love this jacket - saved me during a hailstorm while hiking in breckenridge. It's so light and packable.

By far the best wet weather gear for the money and it's a great shell for windy or brisk days.

Second rain jacket from Marmot. Daughter took over first jacket. Bought a size up this time for more room for layering.

I originally got this jacket in an XL and found it too tight to be comfortable layered - I'm 5' 11" and about 230 lbs. The XXL fits well and looks/feels much better whether or not I have bulkier layers underneath. Waterproofing is great, and the botanical green color is very pretty - not an army green at all, more of a forest/tropical green color.

Fantastic rain jacket. Keeps me dry and is very light weight. Packs up small, I look forward to taking it on hikes this fall.

This is my go to rain jacket. I lost my original Precip, that I had had for years, during a rescue operation. I ordered a new one to replace it. The fit and finish of this jacket is great, and the red is a fantastic color. I hope my Precip lasts as long as my old one.

I bought this jacket in 2004 at the same time I bought my then girlfriend now wife the same one. Both have lasted the last 17 years of backpacking, day trips, vacations to varies places. We always have them with us. Great jacket and have recommended it to everyone that asks what is a great all around jacket.

Have 2 of these that are great for packing down in travel bag or backpacking. Really like arm size (like they are built for mountain climbing) when you stretch your arms.

I use the PreCip jacket when fly fishing in all temps. During the winter and early spring, all you need is a good mid-layer underneath to keep you warm and dry. This jacket replaced my Simms rain jacket and, in my opinion, is far superior.

Very light rain jacket. Like the zipper under the arm which make the jacket breathable

I have owned lite rain jackets from most popular manufacturers and this is on par with the 200$ ones. The cost is well outwayed for the quality and value you get. Finally got to try it out in a real rain storm recently and keep me dry and comfortable. I love the packable hood to clean up the look. Doesn't mean that it has the cheap jacket puffy neckline, they designed it to lay flat in the collar. Denim Color is great, fashionable but high utility. Good size pockets and good zippers on pit vents. Highly recommend.

Purchased about a month ago. Love the color. Its so unique. The jacket is wonderful in the rain. The hood covers my head enough that my long hair doesn't get wet. It also, has breathable compartments for you as well. It will keep you dry. People love the color too.

We surprised our niece with this rain jacket to take with her to her first year of college. She loves it - the color and fit. She's 5'3 and small framed. The small fits her perfectly.

Size runs a little large, so consider sizing down. I normally wear L, but M in this jacket fit just right. Very lightweight.

This jacket feels great on, it appears to run true to size. On cold rainy days my XL allows me to wear a sweatshirt underneath without any sacrifice in the fit of the jacket. It also does not look like a "tent" when I am wearing it which is great. I would say the pictures of the fit of this jacket are very accurate.
Pros: Hood rolls up and hides away when not in use, hood has multiple adjustments, jacket stuffs into one of its pockets for easy storage and carrying in a daypack or backpack, breathable, lightweight and sleeve length is great. The fit allows for a Daypack to fit over jacket and not have it be bothersome.
Cons: no interior pockets though not a show stopper and the Yellow featured here or Golden Palm is not nearly as bright as it is pictured. That was a disappointment as I was hoping for something that could be seen at a distance. Though it is bright in sunlight or under an indoor lamp, on rainy days it is not the color of old rain slickers that I was expecting.

This is my second Marmot PrCip; the previous one was over 15 years old and was my best lightweight, packable rain parka ever.
