I bought this hoodie for an annual fishing trip I go on in Northern Maine. The weather starts early in the day being chilly (high 50's low 60's) then the sun gets brutal later in the day (high 80's). I come back every year pretty badly sunburned. This hoodie was awesome for it. Protected me from the sun and was not too hot at all. I love the thin hoodie as well. I could put in on under my hat to protect my ears. I will say this shirt runs very big, but i enjoy a big shirt.

The Terminal Tackle Hoodie is great for fishing in the backcountry due to it's functionality and offers comfort throughout its use. The Hoodie does a great job of masking odor and thus is a great pick for someone going on an extended backpacking trip. The hood allows for sun protection on the neck and head and the material of the piece allows for quick dry and sweat wicking capabilities.

Bought this item to wear kayaking and as a cover when fishing or in the sun. Initially, I felt the hood was too large, but it served its purpose by covering my head and protecting me from the elements. Lightweight and thin material was perfect for the products intended use. I am contemplating buying another as a gift for my brother who fishes all of the time. Pleased with my purchase.

One of my favorite articles of clothing from columbia's pfg line. Simply the most comfortable shirt I've ever worn! Keeps you cool on a hot steamy day and protects you from the sun. Best shirt to go fishing with! They do run large, so order a size smaller than usual.

The desert is experiencing a nasty heat wave now. This arrived just in time to provide shade while walking or on my mountain bike. While it's new and thus the review limited the fabric does help in the hot sun. I don't expect tough working conditions as a landscaper for this as the many thorns and hooks of the environment would damage it. Sleeves are longer than the 34" I wear providing cover even while stretched out on the bicycle.

Purchased this product for a two week stay on the coast. Used it surf casting and as for general wear during the day. The product functions as promised. Stayed cool and protected from the sun all day. The hoodie worked great underneath a baseball cap or wide brimmed sun hat. The large was just a bit long in the arms and shoulders, none-the-less this added length seemed to help the overall cooling the product delivers. The vibrant colors are fun to wear. I received numerous compliments on the look and overall function of this hoodie.

Either I lost a little weight, which is possible, or I could have ordered a Large. I like my tops loose, especially this one so it can be worn over other clothing/layers. It is very climate controlled. Wore this on the beach in Hawaii to keep sun off me. Did not get too hot. Great quality! This is a very nice hooded top.

Love the lightweight fabric and snug neckline, great sun protection and highly breathable. Colors are nice, too.

My husband and son love this shirt. It is a hot summer day staple whether in the water or on land. Very lightweight shirt that keeps you cool and helps protect you against the sun. My husband loves his first one so he ordered a second one for himself and one for our son

Product is lightweight and very comfortable, and hood is well designed; perfect for fishing or other activities in a variety of weather situations. Did run a bit large; I ordered an L, and was larger than expected in sleeves and body, so probably could have gotten away with an M. But the L works well since it provides the option of wearing alone or over another shirt

I bought this long sleeve hooded shirt for a fairly intense 3 day river trip. It was comfortable and super versatile. While I brought a back-up PFG button up shirt, I ended up wearing the hooded shirt the whole trip. It dried quickly, didn't get too hot, and kept me cool and dry. Really can't say enough good things, it was my best gear purchase for the river trip.

Awesome and light weight perfect for those who don't like wearing hats . The size is perfect and true. Thank you Columbia for another great product.

Great sun cover for FL, on days that are not overly hot

This summer weight hoodie protects very well in the Florida sun. It's a perfect shirt that provides additional uv protection (upf 50!) to your head and neck. All you have to do is flip up the hood and bang you're covered and then flip it down when you get out of the sun.

Absolutely the bomb. Def runs large tho. Typically lg-xlg. Read reviews, glad I did. Ordered large and it was comfortable sized. Love it.

I purchased this hoodie as a lightweight cover up for sun protection. Keeps me cool even on the warmest days and protects me from UV radiation! Excellent product!

I use this shirt the past couple of years lifeguarding. It has held up well to chlorinated water of a pool and it has kept me well protected from the summer sun. Even after two seasons of sun and washes it is going strong. Good product.

I'm a 6' 1", 155 lb woman with 35" arms and a small fits great--I usually wear a men's medium. Perfect for golf due to longer than average sleeves. Hoodie does NOT pull up back of shirt like most competitors. When playing golf, I pull up the hood and wear a brimmed hat on top. Surprisingly, my hat stays on better in wind than without the hood. The only negative is the soft material allows the hood to swing around to front if you don't have it pulled up. However, I just ordered 3 more so obviously it's not that big a problem. Pair this shirt with Columbia sun gloves for complete arm/hand protection. Glad I found these.

My son had a shirt similar to this one but another brand. This one is better quality and he is glad to have it. Will order more like this one
