Quality is excellent. Repels water. After reading the reviews, I bought a size up. Jacket is too large. Since I have already taken the tags off and worn, I cannot return it. :(

Bought both the "Ruby Red" and "Red Hibiscus" as I wanted a red rain jacket before my trip to the PNW in August. Que the eternal outdoor gear issue for women - these jackets are both pink! Hibiscus is bubblegum pink, ruby is a darker pink. I truly don't need my reds to be feminized to match my gender. A name update for the colors would be great (as would an actually red rain jacket) - I returned both as I did not want a pink jacket. Sleeve are a bit long. Jacket runs slightly large. Quality seemed good.

Purchased a small and medium size for my wife who is a size 6. The small was very snug around the middle as if it was fitted. And the medium was OK but there was not enough room to put a fleece under it. Unfortunately had to return both.

Haven't had a chance to test this jacket out in the rain yet, but it looks like it should do the job. I ordered a medium so I would have room to wear a layer underneath since the jacket is not designed for warmth. For those who order the foxglove color, be warned: the color is not anywhere close to as shown online. It is much more pink than shown, which was disappointing since I really loved the foxglove color that was shown online.

It runs large. Cut is not too flattering. More of a women's style than a teen.

I LOVED the color and feel of this rain jacket. My issue is that I couldn't layer underneath it. I bought this for a trip to Iceland and I will need to layer warmer clothes underneath. I returned it so I could order a men's equivalent. So, if you don't have to layer and just need a light outter shell - go for it. If you need to layer, and have to go larger than an XL, you need to shop in the mens section :(

I like the jacket, but will not be able to wear anything but a thin layer underneath as I th it runs a little small.

I bought this for a wet hiking trip and wanted something lightweight and packable. The jacket is much thinner than I expected, but so far seems to be waterproof. The fit is fine and the sleeves are long - love that since I'm tall with long arms. But there's so much more that could have been added to make it more functional. There are no underarm vents, or back vent, so although it is thin, I'm not sure how breathable it will be. And there are only the two lower side pockets, so you'll need storage space in other clothing to carry things while hiking/traveling. The tag says: stores in concealed pocket. Well, I looked and looked but found no concealed pocket. What it does is store stuffed inside one of the two pockets that has a double-sided zipper tab. All in all it will be useful, but isn't really as good as advertised in my opinion.

The Velcro strips on the front of this coat are annoying. They are sure to snag something valuable, especially scarves. This one is going back.

Good value for the price, and I liked the pockets best of all those I tried out, and it packed up small, but in the end I decided it was too crinkly sounding.

This jacket is okay. It feels more like a men's fit - kind of long, and a little tight along the bust...but it works well as a wind breaker. I haven't yet worn it in pouring rain to see how it holds up for that.

The jacket is really cute, good material for a rain coat. It seems like it will be comfortable once I get it in a size that fits. That's the reason for only a three star rating. I wear an XL in basically everything. But when it arrived in the mail today and I tried it on, zipping it up was like squeezing sausage into its casing. Not a pretty sight! It's so small, I feel I will have to go up probably 2 sizes for it to actually fit which is a bummer because the plus sizes cost more (which is kind of rude if you ask me). I do like all the other aspects of the jacket enough to exchange it instead of just returning it.

I was just thinking about calling or emailing about my jacket. I ordered black size medium and the fit is wonderful and I love the jacket except it is not actually black. I didnt notice it til I had it laying in car seat. It is more navy and I really wanted true black.

The jacket is lightweight with great color. However, for a Columbia jacket for this price, I did not expect it to have so much velcro. Velcro may be cheap but it sticks to other clothing and picks things terribly, especially in the wash. Anything with velcro has to be washed on its own - not practical and cheap looking. Sending it back as there is velcro on the sleeve closure and on the front zipper closure.

This jacket is really nice, but sadly I will be returning it. It is way too long, and the sleeves are baggy. The overall quality is nice, though!

Absolutely love this jacket BUT why would you use velcro instead of snaps for the zipper cover flap?! Terrible design change from snaps. Corners and edges of velcro are sharp and velcro catches on other fabrics when putting on jacket. Other than to save production costs, why o why would you use velcro!!

It keeps you dry when it rains. On the other hand, the Hibiscus Red is more like a neon pink. I should have bought purple. I would have sent it back, but I didn't want to spend another $24 on postage for a $66 jacket. It runs small, so buy at least a size bigger.

I returned. Too shiny and too crinkly sounding for my taste. Does run a bit short FYI. Bland, boring, shiny and loud. Probably well made though.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
The style of the jacket was very nice and the fit was great, however I had to return it as it had Velcro all down the front in addition to the zipper. I wish manufacturers would stop using Velcro as part of the closure- with past experience it has stuck and snagged tops, sweaters, and my hair. I have heard others complain of this also- enough with the Velcro!

Not a bad looking jacket but it runs small. I wear a 16 and bought an XL. It was very snug. Returned it.

The medium I received is snug around the hips. I have another medium (navy, not purchased from Zappos) that is not snug.

I bought this because it said it was packable in the hand pocket and it isn’t. I do have a Columbia jacket that is. The way you can tell the difference is the pocket it packs into has a double zipper. I’m returning it. If you don’t care about it being packable, then it’s ok, except for the Velcro on the zippers.
