I ordered a size up since Columbia stated it ran small - but that didn't work for me. I am 5'9" 148 lbs., and ordered a large; I should have ordered my normal size medium. I think the jacket would serve it's purpose, but it was also a little too "swishy" for me.

It is a great rain Jacket. I didn't give 5 stars because I don't like the Velcro.

The shipping was timely. The packaging was simple. It was simply a great shopping experience. The jacket was a little snug but it looks terrific and is great quality. I am a bit "hippy" so it fit nicely on my shoulders but was tight around my hips.

THIS JACKET IS VERY LIGHT, VERY COMFORTABLE AND GOOD AGAINST WIND AND RAIN.-

First off, I have not used this jacket yet so I can only speak to the fit and the quality of the rain jacket. I got the red jacket and love the color. I got the size I normally wear and it fit perfect. I am tall and was happy that the sleeves were long enough. I have my fingers crossed when it rains and I have a chance to try it out it will definitely repel the rain 100%.

Overall love the jacket, though it tends to run a bit small (especially if you want to wear a sweater, vest, or light fleece under it). My own personal preference would be that it was a tad roomier and longer.

I love the slightly fitted style. I found the armhole and sleeves a bit tight but the body fits well. Sheds water wonderfully, I stay dry in the worst of the rain. Light enough to stuff in my pack and I am comfortable in NW winter with just a lightweight fleece underneath.

Love the jacket and the color. The hood could be a tad larger though; it doesn't cover the whole head.

Just opened the box...love the color and overall style! I usually wear a medium (5' 8", 140#) but the red color was only available in the large, so I got that - and am glad I did. The arms are just long enough. If I could add a feature, it would be a hidden drawstring at the waist to make it more fitted. But overall, I am very pleased. Really fast shipping!

I received my jacket in the mail last week- SUPER fast shipping out of Portland, BTW.. I am very satisfied with this jacket ! It is light, but keeps me comfortable in light rain- plus it has a little extra room to wear a thin fleece underneath if you want some extra warmth. If you live in the Pacific NW, you need to buy one of these !

This is a great coat for the rain if its warmer out. Not too heavy but still keeps you dry. I would like to have had a brim on the hood though as the hood slips down & when its raining heavily my face gets wet.

I hadn't purchased a Columbia jacket in years because the one I did buy previously would stick to me like glue on warm humid days. Therefore, I was a bit apprehensive about purchasing a new one. Luckily this one doesn't stick on those sweltering days. The fit is perfect. I'm 5'3'', 115lbs and the XS fit great on me. It's snug with just the right amount of wiggle room. I think the standard Columbia size chart might be a little off because according to it I should have ordered a size small. That would have been much too big for me. My only complaints are the velcro closures and the color. The velcro is simply annoying. I haven't owned anything velcro since I was in grade school. Snaps would have been much better in my opinion. Everything is fine now but I fully expect them to get dirty over time and stop functioning properly. Lastly, the color... I was expecting more of a baby/carolina blue. Instead the color is more of a teal/aqua/baby blue mixed together. It's very bright... I would have gone with another color had I realized that the color on the website wasn't a true representation of the product.

The jacket is exactly what I needed. The color and fit are excellent. The Velcro closures are sewn as close as possible around the edges, but the corners poke a bit if I accidentally brush a hand against one..

Very nice jacket and made very well. My other issue is I have broad shoulders, so the sleeves are a little shorter then I'd like. I ordered the M thinking the sleeves would be longer, but they weren't. Other then that the jacket is great!

I bought M based on the size chart and it was too small. Part of the problem is a I need petite because of my height, but I doubt a large would've fit either. Cut very slim. I'm on the heavy side for my height, but I'm not overweight.

It's overall a nice coat. The wind blows right through it but I'm able to wear a sweater under it. Haven't used it in the rain yet. I only gave a 3 star because the zipper on the pockets get stuck EVERY time it's used.

Had to return, one pocket was 2 inches shorter than the other.

Left sleeve is too short. Jacket is short - for a rain coat. Won't keep your hips dry. Also, I thought one review about the crinklyness was weird until I tried on the jacket - yes it's extremely LOUD! I wouldn't wear this in public. One final thing, the right shoulder and sleeve were at least 1/4 inch longer than the left side - for a total of about 3/4 inch longer at the wrist than the left side. That's not acceptable for a $100 nylon rain jacket!!

The jacket looks ok, but it doesn’t look like it’s worth $75.00 at all. It’s noisy too. I don’t want to make a crinkley noise every time I move, so I’m returning it.

Much too tight. Ordered a Large but have to return. Runs very narrow.

This review is about the jacket, not the awful delivery problems. I bought the Arcadia II rain jacket. It looks and fits as expected (I like it), but it's not the same quality as my old one. Besides not having a 2-way zipper like the old one, it has mesh pockets! I doubt that they'll last more than one or two wearings if you use them for items like your house keys. What were they thinking? The old jacket had pockets made of the outside material, and were quite practical. I guess this is oart of planned obsolescence.

I was looking for a new rain jacket and I've had good experiences with Columbia rain jackets in the past. I was really disappointed with this one. I loved the navy color-nice and dark. However, this jacket was so cheap looking compared to other jackets. The velcro was skimpy on the wrists, the zipper was puny and difficult to use. The jacket also just didn't lie flat. I bought this in a size Small and returned it to buy a kids' Columbia Watertight jacket in size XL. The kids' jacket is way nicer!!

Too expensive

Pretty color and well made jacket. However, the bottom part is quite wide, and looks big on me. I don't want to get a smaller size because then the top wouldn't fit right. So I am disappointed in the sizing and cut of the jacket. Not Columbia's best quality, unfortunately.
