The 13 4E was smaller than other sneakers of the same size ordered from this site.

Bought these to be my everyday shoes - not specifically for working out or anything, just everyday wear. Unlike all the other great experiences I've had with New Balance, these shoes have been a brutal to break-in. The area underneath the insole, where the heel and the arch meet, seems too high and uneven. This gives the sensation of having something wedged underneath the foot inside the shoe. I didn't notice it at first until I wore them out for a full day. Of course, by then it's too late to return them. So now I'm stuck with shoes that just don't feel right. Maybe I'll get used to them in time. Maybe not. They did seem to run a little narrow at first, but opened right up after the first wear. Overall, the comfort is simply sub-par with what I've previously experienced from New Balance.

Felt smaller. Were feet smaller back in the 80's?

I have ordered similarly styled NB before. This was the first time size 15 felt too small.

Ran super small! NB sizing seems to vary a bit between models, I've got some others that are 11.5 D and are loose all over, but these were almost painfully narrow (even though they were 2E) and a full size short.

This particular model of NB look amazing but in all honesty I'm not impressed by the fit of this shoe and the comfort level. To begin with the reviews here that suggest you purchase a size up are absolutely correct, I personally had to purchase the wide in addition to 1 full size larger than my last NB (albeit NB 574). I have own dozens of NB, they are my go to sneaker but I believe there have been changes to the materials used for most of their classic styles, the comfort just isn't there regardless of the reason it seems as more and more company's use synthetic materials to replace canvas, suede, etc as a result shoes just don't break down anymore which to some might be a good thing but I like shoes to show some wear and tear, that's what I think these suffer from, they seem too stiff. My personal review is that this is a great looking shoe that doesn't offer much in the way of true sizing or comfort. Zappos service however is still incredible, free shipping & prices are unbeatable.

In the past, have worn many New Balance 7.5 4E sneakers which fitted me perfectly. So I ordered same size. Returned for 8.0. Even that was too small. Something seems to have gone wrong in their quality department!

My son didn’t find this sneaker overall comfortable.

i suppose it was my own fault since I have come to believe that all New Balance shoes came with some sort of trademarked arch support thing like ABSORB. But these do not, which I hadn't noticed when I was reading the description of the shoe. The result is for the first time in all the years of owning NB shoes, I have a pair I can't wear because they make my feet tired. I had put in a Dr Schol sort of insole but still my feet are still tired. When I feel up to it financially I will buy a better pair of shoes.

These seemed narrower than the size they were. It's unfortunate, because I really like the style.

Strange stitching in the sole where the my heel meets my arch. Very uncomfortable despite the inserts. Had to return.

As noted, these are far narrower and sized smaller than I'm used to. Additionally, the padded tongue presses down heavily on the top of my foot. Despite how great they look, I'm disappointed I have to send back because I can't get a comfortable fit.

This shoe did not have the same quality feel that New Balance is known for. The soles were very stiff, which was quite a surprise. I buy New Balance because they offer Wide sizes. These did not fit like previous versions of this shoe. I returned them for something else.

I ordered this shoe model in 2e. When I got them I thought they were a bit tight, but I thought they might stretch out a little. Well they haven't. It's an okay shoe just not a good one for people with wide feet. The shoe in my opinion is a cheaper quality than the 411 model. I'm on to order the 411 model again as I'm not impressed with the 515 model.

The width and size were significantly smaller than expected. I had difficulty even slipping them on without lacing.

Uh oh! The shoe size says 10 1/2 but feels like 10. My toes are pushing against the front of the shoe. Width seems okay. I will give them a couple of days to see if a breaking-in period will give my toes more room in the front.

Supposed to be a 10.5, and there's just no way. I could get my foot in a shoe, but just barely.

nice but ordered half size larger and they were too small. also, they are very narrow for medium width.

The size chart provided by your store is wrong you need to change the size chart

I have purchased New Balance 4E wide shoes and sneakers for at least 15 years and this is the first pair that were actually narrow!! I am seriously dismayed. Are there any NB model sneakers that are still really "wide"?

If I’d ever receive the item I would review it. Package as been circleing my address for 5 days. It as been to the same places twice. What’s the problem??

The worst shoes i've ever tried. No joke. I have big feet so take this in context. The soles don't match the rest of the shoe to the point where the overlap had me walking on the edges of the soles. I put them on before my work, which involves a lot of walking, and I had to leave early because of the pain. I've attached a picture illustrating the problem. It looked weird right off the bat, but i thought "hey maybe that's just the style" and tried them anyway. These are probably great for people with narrow feet, but they have no business listing 3E+ versions of this shoe if this is how they're going to make them.

Ridiculously thick heel and sole. I feel like a woman wearing high heels in these. I am already tall. I could instantly tell I had gained almost 2 inches in height once I put these on. Maybe useful if you are very short..but it isnt going to fool anyone. The EVA padding (right above the soles) is visibly thicker than most shoes and easily noticeable. Feels comfortable but they really went overboard with his design. The rest of the shoe looks amazing. Much better in person than online. The excessive padding ruined them for me. Returned! They were also a full size smaller than my old pair of New Balance M373's. I bought them off Zappos in January of 2015 and still wear them. It is now Nov 2017. I just went with a new pair of M373's instead of these ML515's- a classic look with a normal sole and EVA padding thickness that doesnt make you look like a jackass, complete with hooves.

I have a new balance 501 that is a size 11 wide and it fits. This shoe is short and narrow.
