Runs large. Sizing also not consistent within the same brand: Bought another shoe by this maker in the same size as a worn out pair but it is much larger.

My son never ties his shoes and walks around with his laces flopping everywhere so the velcro on these shoes is great! It's hard to find good sneakers in his size with velcro. They seem well made and look good. I'm glad I read the reviews that said to order a smaller size since they are about a size bigger than most athletic shoes.

Awesome sneakers and my son really liked them. Thrilled with unique styles, seems ergonomic to feet. ( im not a podiatrist ). And love the idea of tea indused soles. My son has stinky feet so this helps!

Just purchased a pair for my very athletic 7 year old boy. We had to go up a half size to get the right fit. He immediately ran 3 miles at the track by his school and came back beaming. He loves them and says they're super-comfortable. The shoe looks amazing and it hits many of the points I was looking for: Extremely flexible sole, almost zero arch and washable. We'll definitely be ordering this brand as he grows. Happy with the purchase. In this instance, you get what you pay for.

Tsukihoshi shoes are great, but they run super big. Love the sleek style of this one. It's also pretty light weight.

These shoes do run large but seem to be very well made. The body of the shoe, not just the toe box, is a bit wider which is nice for a kid who normally has to wear a wide. One side of the tongue is stitched to the side which makes it easier for a child to put on.

The shoes are light, comfortable and well made. They run 1 size larger, and I'm glad I read the reviews and ordered then in 2.5. My son wears size 3 now and this one is a little big, but not enough to return. He has a wide foot and many shoes are to narrow for him, but these are just right. He says they are very comfortable and wears them to school every day now.

My 9 year old grandson was very excited when he put on these shoes. He didn't want to take them off!

My son loves these. The one velcro strap is easier for him to put on.

Pros - unlike others our 9 year old has had, these have THE MOST AMAZING sole tread. They're built to last for sure. Uppers are solid and the closure tab seems like it'll last. Best of all, the boy likes the style. CONS - not cheap, boy's only complaint is that they're not as soft under foot as others. We'll likely be buying a second pair...

We love the Tsukihoshi brand! I can’t even count how many pairs we’ve owned and we’ve been so pleased with every one. They are often a little more expensive than other brands, but they stand the test of time.

The these shoes are great and run true to size. My son wears a 4 in every other brand and a 4 fit him perfectly. Super flexible and great looking.

These shoes are amazing. They are light and flexible, yet sturdy. I just got them today and I already know I will replace my kids' stride rites with these from now on. My son wears SMOs, and they fit into the shoe perfectly, and I don't have to try to expand or extend the Velcro. They are it klunky like other supportive shoes and they look great too. Hopefully they're durable too. Time will tell! They are pricey, that's the only downside, and they do run a tad big, about a half size. I also love the roomy toe box.

These shoes are amazing. Amazing. I just got them today and I already know I will not go back to stride rites (which are a good shoe, but a bit klunky). My son wears SMOs and they fit perfectly, with no shortage of Velcro. They're flexible, and seem sturdy, and light. They do run big. I'd say order a size down. They are pricey, but for my kids' feet it's worth it. Great arch support and they breathe. After one day with these shoes I am sold. I hope they hold up to my rough and tumble kid, but I expect they should.

These definitely run big: my son had outgrown a pair of Sketchers in size 3, and the size 3 in these shoes were the perfect fit. I love how comfortable these shoes are, and how lightweight. Plus they're not big and bulky; my kid's feet are big enough, I don't need his shoes to make them look any bigger!

Great shoes for children with fine motor delays and custom orthotics. They run big and the inserts are removable so they're perfect "special needs" shoes that look AMAZING!!

The Tsukihoshi brand can't be beat for wide-footed kids. My five year old likes the bold colors and I love the easy-on, easy-off style. I also love how these wash up to look brand new. A bit pricey but worth every penny because they last longer and clean up better than any other kid brand I've purchased.

These are super cool and comfortable for my very active 7 year old. Plus they look great! He's received lots of compliments on these. I love that they are machine washable. A good buy for us.

My son had been wearing this brand for years and absolutely loves them. They do fit large as described so do size down. They are easy for him to put on and take off and he couldn't be happier with the fit and the look!

Sizing is way too big. I think these may be men's sizes and not kid'. The size 3.5 is a EU size 37. We ordered another runner in a size 4 and the EU size is 36. I am going to check the manufacturer website, this is the second time the sizing has been wrong on Zappos.

This is my first purchase of the Tsukihoshi shoe brand. These are very cute shoes, I purchased the taupe and blue. We sized down because of other reviews. 1½ sizes because of limited availability in the color we chose. The 12½ little kid was very roomy on my six year old grandson. Our last shoe purchase about two months ago was Big Boys size 1 in the Nike Brand. He loves the Tsukihoshi shoes and thinks they make him run really fast. I am happy with the purchase!

My son loves these shoes - he wears them as his uniform shoes to school every day and they have held up very well so far and he thinks they are super comfortable and easy to get on and off.

LOVE these shoes for my active 6 year old son! We started with Tsukihoshi shoes 2 years ago while looking for a zero drop shoe that had a barefoot feel. They are not true barefoot shoes, but they are the closest I can find that fit my son's wide foot and aren't completely breaking the bank. He is rough on the shoes and yet outgrows them before wearing them out. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND these shoes!
