Nice pants, not too tight around the leg zippers as others I tried. I ordered the long, because the regular was not available. I'm glad I did, cause I'm 5'7" and they were just right. A bit loose in the back waist, but I think that's my shape, not the pants. So pleased to find convertible pants that I will actually wear!

I recently used these pants on a 8 day trek in Peru. They were perfect. I am 5'1 120 lbs and ordered the size 6 short. They seemed to fit good and have a drawstring at the waist. I also ordered the size 4 and they fit better. I kept both pairs for when my weight fluctuates a bit I have a working pair. I love that these pants come in the short length. Very comfortable pants to hike in. Also when you zip off to make them shorts its not such a task to zip them back on because the zippers are color coded! red on one leg and blue on the other.

I am 5'6 130 lbs. The size 6 is a very relaxed fit and low rise (which I prefer). I liked the inner drawstring. I used these pants during an international trip and love the pockets. I have a larger phone w/an otterbox cover and was able to slide it into my front pockets with ease. The only down fall was the amt of static that built up due to the fabric. The pants are also thinner than expected but in 20 degree Fahrenheit weather with a good base layer I was fine.

This is probably the nicest convertible pant I ever tried on. You could wear it 3 ways, short, capri, long. I loved the long length. Very fitted without chafing and the color was a strong grey not the greenish grey. I would have kept them if the short had been longer. Don't get me wrong, the short was really cute, but I am 60 and although in great shape (boot camp 4-5 days a week), I feel that I need to wear a short midway on my leg. I wanted to keep it!

I haven't yet gotten to wear these for the trip to Ecuador for which they were purchased. They're very comfortable and look good on my not-very-trim body. I usually wear a "regular" but had to order the "short" in this style as they run long, which should be great for those with long legs.

These are, to my mind, good, simple outdoor convertible pants. The waist, hips and bum fit well, true to size, and the legs widen gradually to a point that is, for me, not too wide at the bottom. The zip-off leg zippers are color coded, which is just genius! This little detail makes it easy to get them on and off on the go. The colors are a cut above the usual beige. But my favorite feature is how relatively short the shorts inseam is - these are not clam diggers when the legs are removed, they are proper shorts. I deducted one star because the fabric is a bit noisy - I hope a few washes helps; and because the back pockets are patch pockets, rather than snap or zip.

These pants are great, and thank you North Face for making lengths! Wore them for the constantly varied hiking environments of Alaska over 10 days, and they held up, and were easy to change. I ordered a little larger to accommodate layering, as the hips are little more narrow than the waist.

These pants are great! I love that I'm able to both roll up the legs for a capri style, and zipper off the mid-lower leg sections to convert to shorts. They're highly durable, comfortable, and light even with the inner lining mesh of the pockets. And the pockets! Thank goodness for real pockets on women's pants. The only con I can think of is that the pants are a little noisy, a few people have poked fun at the swooshing sound I make in a quiet room when I walk around. The style is flattering on me without being constrictive, but the style also doesn't accentuate curves well so everything tends to look a bit flattened. This is especially true in the rear. If you want practical pants that flatter your rear, these may not totally be for you.

I have been buying convertible pants for years and these are the most comfortable I have owned. They fit well across the hips without being too tight or too baggy. The drawstring inside makes it easy to adjust the waist to remove any gap in the back. Pockets are very deep so things do not fall out. I bought both the beige and grey colors. I'd love to have a light tan and black.

What more can I say than I am now a committed Zappos customer. These pants I ordered were delivered as quickly as promised, are my favorite go everywhere pants now, and fit perfectly. These were one of the few casual pants that were offered in a small size. Service and quality can't be beat.

Love the pants. Very durable yet comfortable. I wear them on weekends when I am not hiking. Only thing is that I find the sizes are a little smaller than my regular pants. So if you are ordering them, err on the larger side.

I wear a 6 and these fit just right. As comfy and easy to move around in as yoga pants. Flattering hiking pants.

I absolutely love these pants! I ordered them for a field methods class in The Bahamas last spring. They are perfect for all weather due to the many conversion options. They fit great and are perfect for washing in the shower at night after a long day. They are dry and ready to go by morning. Get some!

I have never ordered clothing online, but thought I would take a chance as I could not find these pants in Canada where I live. I ordered in the size I would normally wear and other than the length, (I always have to get pants shortened) they fit beautifully. Also they were delivered really fast (two days) so I quickly ordered another pair. I am looking forward to wearing them on our trip. I am converted to online shopping now with Zappos.

These pants are great for hiking. I bought them in two colors. They are comfortable, look nice and I am able to move around in them easily. I also love the pockets for stashing stuff I need to get to quickly.

Great pair of pants for casual wear, travel, and outdoor activities. They really wear well and dry in no time. I wish the zipper detachment came below the knee, and that the string-tie at waist was a bit more than a shoelace.

These are fantastic pants. I wore them on my vacation to Rome and being able to convert from pants to capris to shorts was so nice (particularly as the day was hot but you can't enter churches wearing shorts!). These are my new favorite travel pants.

They are wonderful! I wear them playing golf. The weather in NE in unpredictable and these fit the bill.

Too short! I have tried this pant 3 times in the Long size and all were unfortunately way too short. They advertise being 34 inseam and I measured the Long @ 29 1/2! Bummer. Please make an accurate 34" Long inseam! Other than that it seems to be a wonderful pant. Great pockets, convertible, light weight yet durable. :(

I had been wanting a pair of convertible outdoor pants for a while now. I am a short person, about 5'3" and I bought the short version of these pants. I love them! The length is perfect, the color is an amazing neutral grey, and they are so comfortable. Not only do they zip off to convert into shorts, but they can roll up and button about halfway up the calf for a cropped look. I will definitely be buying more of these pants, probably in other colors too.

Fantastic hiking pants. Perfect fit in the size 4. I'm 120#, 5'6, 27 waist, 35 hip. muscular legs. I like the way I didn't notice the shorts zipper at all. Other brands were really binding; not these! And VERY happy about the functional pockets. Good size to fit wallets, phones, pak of kleenex, etc. I ordered two more pair! I like these gray ones. They're light gray. Excellent pants and delivered overnight. Bravo Zappos!!!

Love these. Went by my waist measurement (39") & ordered size 18. Fits great, and drawstring will help me adjust as I lose weight (I hope!) A bit long in flats, good in hiking boots. Lightweight, dries quickly. Does make a swish-swish sound when walking. Love the deep pockets.

Fantastic pants. Bought them in Pache Grey and loved them so much that I bought them in Dune Beige and Weimaraner Brown too. Wish they also came in black and blue. Zippers work great and are color-coded so you know which leg goes where. They pack down really small and they dry super quickly. They offer fantastic sun protection and are cool to wear on hot days as pants. I've been losing weight and I love these pants so much that I actually bought them in three sizes for each color because I don't want to risk getting too skinny for them! Highly recommended.

Amazing. I took these hiking and camping over the weekend and they held up so well. Easy to move in, light weight and turn into shorts. They're not necessarily chic or attractive, but they're super functional. I felt cool even in the hot weather.
