I normally wear 9.5 or 10 and I got 10. I could have worn the size 9.5 easily- I got the taupe and like the color- very comfortable- since I got the bigger size I need thicker socks with these- I love these as you can wear with shorts or denim or dresses- super versatile and I get lots of compliments-

This is an UPDATE on my previous review: I returned the size 9.5 Reina Black Cut Stonewash Bootie and ordered a size 10. I had stated my dislike of the extremely heavy distressing on the 9.5 and my intention to polish the size 10 to make the distressing more subtle. I just received the 10s and they are gorgeous! Exactly like the photo this time! My advice to those who receive the extreme version: return them and order another pair. On my return request, I stated my objection to the heavy-handed distressing. I have no idea if someone actually read that, and hand-selected a pair for me, or if it was just the luck of the draw ... whatever - I absolutely love my new Frye Reinas!

These are the best! They are the bomb! I have double digit pairs of cowboy boots, however, these being more like a boot with a heel, they are easier on my feet and back after a few hours of wear. I went 1/2 size larger as I do have morton's neuroma in left foot (irritated nerve). Not for that I would have said, "true to size!".

LOVE THESE! Have worn with everything-dresses & jeans. Comfortable to run around in all day. Fit true to size.

Well-built, as are all Frye boots but I am returning because the color is not what I expected. Looks to be a lighter gray on-line and in person it appears darker (almost purplish). Cute boot though. I bought them in burgundy instead and that color I love!! I am normally a size 9 but these run big, so I got the 8.5 and they are perfect. Frye in general runs big. All of my Frye boots are an 8.5.

These booties are comfortable right out of the box. I purchased the black nubuck. They are a beautiful pair of booties. I usually wear a 6 medium or 5.5 medium. The 5.5 fit well. I can even wear them with a sock.

Worth the price. I have had foot surgery on both feet and have a difficult time finding comfortable and stylish shoes. These booties fill both requirements. My first time wearing them, I wore them to work, where I walk around campus quite a bit. The only slight problem was the tops of my little and second toes on one foot started rubbing toward the end of the day. I believe this has been solved by wearing a thicker sock (as I had a stocking-type footie on). I ordered a 7, my usual size and it fit true to size.

Love, love, love. I also have in black. Can even travel in comfort in these boots. Great with jeans, dresses and work slacks.

I'm in love with these shoes. Truth be told, they're not the most comfortable, but they're gorgeous and go with everything- flare and skinny jeans, skirts, etc.

I have been wearing these boots for 2 days so far (I got this in the black stone wash) and have already received quite a few compliments. The fit was true to size (I am normally a size 8 so I got these in size 8). My only problem is the leather on the black stonewashed is so stiff that the front of the boot is rubbing against my skin when I walk. My solution was to leave the zippers halfway unzipped to create a 'wider' ankle opening so the front of the boot doesn't chafe my skin (I've heard that Frye boots generally take a few wearing shorts to 'break in' and feel comfortable). I think this may be true because I bought a pair of lightly used Frye Engineer 8R boots which, thankfully had been broken in by its previous owner so it felt very comfortable from the first day I stepped into those engineer 8R boots. This time I wanted ankle booties that would look good with skinny jeans, leggings and short dresses and these Reina boots fit the bill. My Reina boots were 'made in Vietnam' but it didn't surprise me because I had heard that Frye's has been outsourcing to non-US countries for the last 10 years or so.

Beautiful boots, absolutely lovely color,and the fit is perfect (I wear an 11 to 11.5 with a med forefoot and narrowish heel. Definitely a challenge to fit!). The heel is an excellent height for everyday walking. The boots are comfortable all day long.These are keepers!

LOVE the look of these. sassy, stylish and fit well with skinny jeans or bootcut. my only complaint is that there's zero padding in the footbed and the first time wear was a for a party where i was standing for several hours. my feet were definitely sore. more cushion in next version of these and they would be PERFECT!

I love these booties! They are stylish, great quality and comfortable. I wear these all the time and want them in every color. I wear a 6.5 in all shoes and ordered it in 6.5 and it fits true to size.

Love! Did I mention I love these booties?! These are my fourth pair of Fryes but my first bootie. They are so cute! The heel makes them easy to dress up if you want. Cute with tights and a dress or a pair of distressed boyfriend jeans. True to size. I ordered a 6.5 & a 7 and the 6.5 fit perfect (my usual size). If you are on the fence to get these, don't be! Get them!

I love this boot. I put it on and wore it out the door. If feels as comfortable as a slipper. I bought a 1/2 size smaller than my normal size, as I find Frye boots can be generous. I have a high arch and these are very supportive. After I wore them for two days, I ordered two more pair in other colors. The Blue shown is a match for tradition indigo jeans.

These are the best booties ever. I was concerned because some reviews said to size down, but I ordered my true size 8 because I have wide feet and they were perfect. They are so adorable and go with everything. I got the vintage black and they are perfect!

I love these boots, but I have never found a Frye that I did not fall for. I have been in search of the perfect black booties for Fall and these definitely fit every criteria. They are gorgeous and look fantastic dressed up or with jeans. They are also very comfortable and do not hurt after being on my feet after a long work day. They felt a bit tight in the toe, but loosened after a few hours. I may have to order another pair in a second color.

Perfection! I got my normal size 9 and they fit great. I just love them and will wear them with pride! Note, I always wear boots with no socks and these fit great!

I never write reviews but I love these booties. I ordered both the black, which I kept, and the black cut stonewash, that I returned. If you are thinking of ordering the stonewash I thought it was quite different that it looks. I was hoping for a kind of faded grey, but it is distressed and looks like someone rubbed it with sandpaper and dented the heels with a tiny hammer. That might be perfect for you, but I decided to put my own wear on the black pair. They are super comfortable and although I usually only wear flats, the heels do not bother me at all and feel very stable. I take a 6 and occasionally a 5½, I ordered down in these based on some reviews and the 5½ fits perfectly. The front rubs a bit, but I am sure that will soften with a few more wears. The dip shows just a bit of normal running sock in the front, so if you are going to wear them like I do, with rolled up jeans, you might want to order a few low cut pairs when you buy these. This is my first pair of Frye boots, and given the comfort and quality, I am sure that they will not be my last.

I bought these boots in black last year after searching for months for the perfect black boot!...not too dressy, not too western, not too high, all leather. Wore the black pair all fall, winter, and early spring and LOVED them! Very comfy after first day as they mold to your foot. Loved them so much that I just ordered the brown pair too!

These booties are fabulous! I had wanted them since last year and I finally pulled the trigger and I couldn't be more excited to wear them. They are very comfortable right out of the box, and they will just keep improving with time. I love the slight western style with a kicked up sassy edge.

They were just delivered today and I'm deliriously happy! I bought the black cut stonewash in a half size larger. I prefer my Fryes a little loose because of my high arch, and they're perfect. I sent photos of them on my feet (because I need a life) to my other boot-obsessed friends and they're crazy about them. They look cute with dresses and skinnies (I tried a bunch of different outfits on with them already). I'm really surprised at how comfortable they are - maybe because the larger size keeps my toes away from the pointy area. I am not a fan of cowboy boots, but something about the shape of these prevents them from being overbearingly cowboy. The heel height is perfect as well- some elevation without the pain.

These are very chic and comfortable ankle boots. They do have a Western flair so if you are not wanting that effect, choose something else. They are a little pricey but very well constructed (hoping they live up to this!), all leather lining, seems like all-leather everything - so I hope it will prove a good investment. Great range of colors also.

Fabulous, right outta the box! So soft!! Perfect with mini cut boot jeans! Love em. Gonna order a second pair in another color.

I was looking for the perfect, casual fun boot. I had tried a couple of styles (all Frye) before this one "fit" the bill. Love them, right out of the box. No break in time, cute with skinny jeans, and I love that they are shorties. Boot slot filled....now on to a new pair of sandals. Lol. :-)
