I bought these on clearance for a steal, so I got what I paid for. I wanted these fun running, since I love my other Asics. These just weren't cut out for my feet for more than 2 miles. I love my Gel-Exalts and will end up getting another pair here. I graded these Gel-Contends still highly since they are great for light cross training and walking. They were great for my spin class too. I have regular arches and average width feet and wear a 9.5 and these fit great, but after about 2 miles the arches felt a bit tight, even with thin socks. Also, I thought these were a bit heavy for the lack of support I feel in the balls of my feet, since that is where I land.

I love the Aisics gel-cumulus so I thought I would try these. These are way more narrow in the same size (9). I had to send them back.

Nice little shoe for the price. I use them for aerobic dancing and they are very comfortable and offer good support. They're really cute, too! One thing to note is that the plastic covering that goes around the top front of the shoe (on the grey part) is very shiny. I like that but some may not.

These are comfortable and would be a good walking shoe, but for Jazzercise, I find myself coming out of the heels and this is the first pair that I've ever had where I've done that. My lacing is all the way up, and I have replaced the stock insole with a Spenco, but I do that on all my shoes. Lacing any tighter gets me numb feet as I have a high arch. I won't be buying these again, but I wear them for general outdoor activity, just nothing aerobic or with a lot of bending or squatting.

I have worn this brand for years. They are the only tennis shoes that are perfectly comfortable for my wide feet. They are also good for overpronators. I use them for walking every day. I also lover the color and design.

Unfortunately, reviews said this shoe had better arch support than my last pair which I found to be untrue. If you want a great cross trainer with good arch support, then the Asics GEL-Excite 2 is the shoe for you! Great shoe for the price!

Didn't like the mesh area on the front/toe part of the shoe, didn't look to me like it would hold up for crossed ankles, normal wear and tear etc. Needed more cushioning too. Ordered 8W!

These are great shoes, BUT watch the sizing. The 7.5 is a Euro 39. I am always Euro 38 (which MOST of the time equals US 7.5) They are also not as blue as the picture shows. They are definitely more aqua/teal colored. As for comfort, they're great except for being half a size too big all the way around.

I have what I lovingly call "duck feet." They're wide near the toes and narrow at the heel. Though I can find a variety of shoes, Asics Gels tend to be the best. The Contend 2 was comfy and wide enough, although the arch support seemed to be too far back toward my heel. The support was good, just not in the right place. When I compared it to the Asics Gel Equation 7 (that I bought at the same time) the Equation seemed to give my foot a smidge more height and support. The Contend 2 would be a great shoe for casual walking-around activities. But I think the Equation 7 will be best for my workouts at the gym or trekking around them parks.

I love these shows. Great price and very comfortable. The accents look red in the picture but the shoe is actually orange-ish hot pink. The only thing negative would be a small section on the sole came apart. Hoping that I can just easy glue it down.

They're a little ugly. And a lot white. The area around the toe is really shiny white, think Star Wars stormtrooper shiny and white. They also feel bigger than my other Asics. Still, they feel great and will get the job done!

The length of these shoes are true to size. I found the width was wide especially across the toe area. I almost sent them back because my foot was moving around, but I just tie them tighter. Although I think the padding is adequate and pretty comfortable, I usually buy Nike and will probably go back to those with my next pair.

Love the fit as seem to run wide and I have a wide foot. They don't have enough support for aerobic walking on hard surfaces but I wear them for casual walking. I still have to buy Nikes for serious walking.

I love the look of these shoes! Makes my large feet appear dainty. Very light weight and makes my gait feel bouncy. I wish it had better arch support (although I have extremely high arches). Overall for the price, it's a pretty comfy shoe!

Not the best pair of ASICS I have ever purchased. This is my 4th pair. I use them to workout in the gym. The style looks exactly like my previous pair, but this one 'feels' cheap for some reason. The toe box is a little larger than my last pair. The first time I put them on, the back of the heal folded down and now there is a permanent crease in it.

Excellent shoes, especially for a mixed variety of exercise. This is the first time I ordered a wide and I'm glad I did. I've had several pairs of these Asics and the first thing to wear is where my pinkie toe rubs on the outside of the shoe. Much more comfortable with the wide.

Very comfortable shoes. Unfortunately, the left one squeaks - probably because they became soaked the first time I wore them (walked in the rain). That's my only complaint. Other than that, they are awesome!

Good shoe. Fits true to size but I prefer a bit more room in my toes so I will order size up. Pretty shoes (pink/peri). Decent support in heal but other shoes offer better options. A bit narrow.

This has been my favorite brand and style for the past year or so. I'll probably continue wearing these for as long as they make them and I am running. :)

Love how comfortable these shoes are especially since I have foot problems. I work in these shoes and workout in them and wear them a total of 14 hours a day and my feet don't ache as with other shoes. Love these!!!

I just received my shoes and when I put them on I could immediately feel the different, I have flat feet and I have brought so many shoes and wasted so much money until I found these shoes. I walk from train to bus everyday crossing streets and I needs a shoe with bounce and gel. Before I buy another pair I will always read the reviews and that let's me know if that is a good shoe, I thank you and my feet thank you.

I found out a couple years ago that I have fallen arches. Ever since then I've kept my eye out for good supportive tennis shoes. About a month ago, I bought these shoes, and have been very pleased so far! Although they don't offer quite as much support as some other shoes I've had, they are still keeping me from being in pain (which is definitely most important), and look great too! Overall, I've been very satisfied with my purchase.

Comfortable wear. I'm not sure about running in them. I've tried on the treadmill not as comfortable as I hoped. I think they are a little long.

I wish I had gotten a different color because the grey leather trim is kind of a turn off for me. On the other had I think it's a great walking shoe. I bought these to run with but there isn't enough room for my toes. It's comfortable to walk around all day but as far as running, about 2 miles in my arch started to ache in a way that doesn't happen in my other running shoes. But it was a good price for a durable walking shoe.

I have been wearing asics for years. Love how they fit and wear. This particular pair has a lower price and a little lower quality. Same good fit , just a little less cushioning and the quality of the materials is less. I will probably go back to the more expensive ones when these wear out. If money is an issue though, these are the shoes to buy. I do recommend them.
