I have a sun allergy and need more than just a baseball hat to help protect my face and neck. This hat is perfect. I looked around at several different hats not seeing what I really had in mind until I found North Faces website. Bingo, this was it! Hat is great quality, fits perfect and gets the job done. The best brim I have ever owned for anything outdoors. It's been a great hat for protection from the rays In the 90+ degree heat we've had lately but allows my brains to breathe.

I used that for hiking. That was just awesome. Very good ventilation. I stopped a few times to wet the hat and I loved the results because the fabric don't acumulate the water in order to get the hat heavier, instead it gets cooler.

Well, I'm not climbing a mountain or hiking the Appalachian Trail, I'm just gardening in my backyard! This hat is light and cool and keeps the sun off of my face and neck. When it's too hot, a quick spray from the hose cools me off, the hat dries quicklyand remains comfortable.

I bought this hat for my dad who lives in S. Korea. He hikes almost every week for last 10 years. As soon as he received this product, he said that it is the best hat he has ever used so far. If he didn't like the hat for any reason like wrong size, color, shape or else, he would send it back to me for refund. However, I only have received complements about the product, not the real product to get refund. I am happy as much as he is. Thanks.

Very beautiful hat, I love it.

Pro: This is a great hat to wear for hiking/photography under strong sun. I wear a wide brim hat for a recent trip to Death Valley National Park and the wide brim hat gave me great protection from the sun. However, the 4 1/2" brim is not good when windy and I have to take it off whenever taking pictures. The brim of this hat is slightly less than 3" which is ideal for my purpose. Easier to carry and very light weight. This is now my go to hat for hiking and gardening. I bought it on sale which is a great value too. Con: The brim is too soft to hold the shape but I can live with it.

Wore the hat on a mission trip to Guatemala. I wore it everyday. It provides great protection from the sun and breathes easily. Washes very nicely and retains shape.

I work outside everyday and live in the south. It is absolute must to have protection from the sun and this hat has become a must have with me when i head out to work. It recently was a great must have for fun on the beach.
