I bought the Chestnut color. It's a rich, warm medium brown color. The leather is soft & of excellent quality. I usually prefer silver toned hardware, but the gold hardware really compliments the brown leather. I usually carry satchels because I have a problem with shoulder bags staying put on my shoulder. This purse stays on my shoulder & doesn't slip off because of the thin straps. The strap drop is only about 7.5", not the 11" that is listed. This purse is called "Small Phoebe," but there is nothing small about it. I would consider it a medium to large purse. I am very pleased with this purse.

How can you not LOVE this bag? I bought it sight unseen and my first Coach and the first time I spent that much on a pocketbook. I'm all about function, don't really care about style but do appreciate a good leather. This bag covers all areas. It's not too big. I'd say its large, not medium, but that's me. I like that you can access the outer pockets easily...keep my phone, keys, work ID, etc in there. I secure my wallet and checkbook in the center zippered pocket. I do wish the zipper worked with one hand. Instead, you need to hold the tab on one side and the zipper pull on the other side. It's a little cumbersome while at a checkout and trying to get out of the way for the next customer. The bag is perfect for carrying on your shoulder or in your hand. beautiful purple lining. I removed the gold Coach tag and left on the leather one.

The cranberry color is absolutely gorgeous. The texture of the bag is wonderful. The style is so classic. And it had so much room to carry stuff and keep organized. What I didn't like were the gold accents. It was a deal breaker for me and I had to send it back.

Love this bag! The Midnight Oak is a rich chocolate brown. Perfect size, great organization. Leather is very soft, lightly pebbled. The gold hardware looks great with this brown.

I received this as a gift for Mother's Day. The bag is gorgeous & the color (Chestnut) is beautiful. I would never spend this much money on a bag but I thrilled my husband bought it for me. I love it!

LOVE IT!!! I had seen this bag in a department store, so I already knew it was the right size for me. In my opinion, there's nothing "small" about it. I need a large bag, and it's the perfect size. I LOVE the blue color. The leather smells awesome. Well worth the $$ to splurge on myself!

Great handbag! Not "small" at all--very nicely made, beautiful leather and like the other reviewers, love the middle zippered compartment. Will probably not change my handbag for years to come, it's that good. Had to have it shipped to a friend in Cali since Coach doesn't ship to Hawaii for some odd reason.

Got this in violet. Gorgeous color. If the handles were just a little longer to hang over my shoulder this bag would be perfect. Insides pockets, and one bag with 3 separate compartments. Holds a lot and securely and not huge. Accessibility design is genius. Saw out and about in red and pale lilac. Admired it and bought it. Still thinking about another one in black. The violet color went fast but a big Thank you Zappos for notifying me you had gotten one and I snapped it up. A beautiful understated color to add to usual solid black attire and a splash to my often combos of pink or aqua and black. This bag is a serious upgrade. I never spend this much on a bag but I don't regret a single penny.

Beautiful and functional! Love the texture of the leather. Love the tasteful hardware. Love the compartments. Love the size and the relatively light weight. This was a splurge but definitely worth the expenditure. Last week I saw a woman carrying this bag in the cornflower color. Gorgeous! No regrets, but... mine is black and doesn't make the same impact.

I like everything about this bag, the leather is soft and lustrous, the compartments are very functional, it is not heavy and straps sit comfortably on my shoulder. It is also very roomy, I can fit my iPad with case in the non zipper compartment. The color silt is more dull than I thought, it is brown with green undertone, it does not complement my skin tone. As always, Zappos delivery is super fast.

Not usually a Coach person but stopped in at a couch outlet store and this is not an outlet purse (must have been store purchase returned). however, everything in the store was 50% off, can you stand it? Loved the style, color (deep brown) and the design is absolutely the best for keeping your wallet safe. Wore it out of the store, and had about 6 compliments that day while I headed to a large mall. Many folks knew it was the Phoebe style. One of my very best purchases. The leather, the weight distribution, the handle length....very sharp purse. highly recommend! Wore it all weekend on vacation destination and never had any discomfort.

Love this bag. The color is a great blue and definitely works as a neutral. The size is more of a medium size but not too big which really works for me since I am only 5'3". Sits nicely on shoulder, great compartments, zip middle for wallet, spot for phone, additional zipper inside for other items. If you are not a label person, the Coach tag can be removed. However there is a small Coach insignia in metal on the side but it is subtle so it did not bother me.

I find most handbags these days are too big or too small; this is a nice mid-size handbag. I like that you can zip your wallet and checkbook in the center and the generous side compartments can hold everything else. NOTE: The blue shown online is not the true color of the bag. It is a much lighter blue/gray. It's pretty but I would have preferred the deeper blue as shown.

I love this bag. I have 3. One in Corn Flower Blue, and black and then I purchased the White one.

I already own this bag in a larger size in a dark purple and I liked it so much I wanted another in a different color. I was originally drawn to the simple lines. I don't care for purses with a lot of "stuff" on them. I get compliments on the purse wherever I go and I think I will be enjoying them for a long time.

Love this bag. The zip center pocket makes it. Keeps the wallet secure while the 2 side pockets make it great for keys etc.

My first coach purse. I don't care about the label and was just looking for a purse with compartments so that I don't have to dig to find everything. I am very impressed. The leather is wonderfully supple but has been sturdy, no scratches at all yet and I use it daily. I got the midnight oak which is a great brown-bronze color with a beautiful purple satin lining. I wish the middle zipper pocket was a bit bigger. It fits my large wallet and a few pens but not much else. The large side pockets close with a magnetic snap. It does fit my iPad in a large case, but is a bit tighter than I would like. The cell phone pockets are bigger than many and fir my iPhone in a large waterproof case without any problem. The straps are a bit narrow, but I have had no problems with feeling like they dig in to my shoulder and they are sturdy.

I absolutely love this bag! Hoping the black/silver one will be on sale soon, I will buy it ASAP! Love the discontinued quartz/silver, amazing bag!

The color of scarlet small Phoebe is gorgeous and rich. 3 compartments are great too. All my things are easily organized, Love it. I may get one more in black or chestnut.

I love this bag. It matches all outfits and looks professional. It is sturdy and holds a lot, including my 5x8 inch planner. I am glad I got this.

I don't make it a habit to spend more on a handbag. But this caught my eye and I ordered it on a whim, knowing that Zappos has the best return policy. Well, it's beautiful and I'm keeping it. On sale, it was a good value. I ordered the "silver/grey quartz" color, which is a very pale lavender with silver accents. It is gorgeous. It is a very neutral color that seems to go with many things. I love the three separate compartments, with the middle compartment being zippered. That is where I store my wallet. The handbag has a magnetic snap in the center to close up the outside compartments. It is comfortable to wear on my shoulder and it instantly makes any outfit look much better! It is structured enough that is looks classy, but not too structured that I can't wear it with any outfit. I do not care about brand names - in fact, I like this one because the coach logo isn't plastered all over it. I would not hesitate to recommend this to a friend, and I would definitely purchase it in another color if I decided I had to have more than one handbag!

Gorgeous purse I'm very happy with it! Zappos had it for the best price around! It arrived on time and you cannot beat FREE shipping! The box it came in could have used a bit more tape; it was barely on there, but thankfully my bag was not damaged. I highly recommend them. I will be shopping at Zappos.com again!
